I hope they don't go for an older cast. Keep them 30s to early 40s, with Johnny's actor being around the age of Tom Holland.

Sue should be 30-playing-25 at most if Johnny is her full brother. The same couple rarely has only two kids that far apart.

Yeah Sue should at max be mid 30s. Remember that when Marvel gets the rights and likely start implementing the characters Peter may be starting College. So Johnny could be in his late teens/early 20s which would make Sue being in her late 20s/early 30s not unusual.

Sue should be in her early to mid 30's, Reed and Ben mid to late 30's and Johnny early to mid 20's to me. My parents had 2 kids 10 years apart.

Ok, so because nearly everyone on the Internet has been recommending Emily Blunt for the role, I went ahead and watched every movie she’s been in, at least the ones I can rent, since the only things I saw from her were Looper, Edge of Tomorrow, and A Quiet Place. And... wow she’s been in a lot of crap but she can be a really good actress, especially with her range. Throughout what I saw, she played vulnerable, strong, scary, and loving. I definitely can see her as Sue. Count me in the fancasting campaign! If not, there’s always Outlaw for X-Force/Deadpool 3.

You should see the devil wears prada that’s her best role

Sunshine Cleaning is good too.I don't think even if she's in a bad/mediocre movie has she ever been bad herself.

If people are still looking for a traditional Human Torch, Ross Lynch is getting a lot of buzz at the moment because of My Friend Dahmer and he’s about the same age as Tom Holland

Never heard of this kid, but I can see him as Johnny. Actually, I can see him as a potential Feyd-Rautha for Dune too.

I saw those movies and yeah those were good and she’s really good in them. Like I said before, I’ve only seen 3 movies from her and she seemed to play somewhat the action type. I didn’t know she could handle comedy and drama as well as she does. I’d say my favorite performance from her was in Salmon Fishing. Don’t know why. It just feels like it’s the character she’s most like in real life for some reason.

Had this thought: With the return of the FF to the MCU, the Silver Surfer and Galactus are sure to follow. When they get around to having Galactus come to earth, we'll get to the part where Surfer defies him, as he does in every version. But this time, they're sure to include not just the Surfer, but his other heralds as well (Firelord, Terrax, et al.), which would substantially up the ante not just from Thanos and the Black Order, but also the last time we saw Surfer in a movie.
Now of course, in the original story Surfer was the lone Herald, but a few adaptations equip Galactus with the whole squad, such as Avengers: EMH. So they'd probably go that route. And if they do, I hope they include something that those didn't: when Surfer defects to the heroes' side, he's gotta fight Terrax and the other heralds all at once; that'd be a great showcase for his powers and skills.

They're not "sure to."
Also don't forget that the Eternals is about a race of immortal humans revealing themselves to us because Celestials have landed on Earth. Galactus will only be after that, unless the Eternals movie barely has anything to do with Jack Kirby's comic.

Might be hard to explain so many heralds so quickly. Remember, there’s kind of lapsed generation of people who know who norrin radd is. So start up with them and galactus then they have a falling out. Galactus gets himself a new herald, might even set up a solo movie for norrin.

I hope they use stardust as the second herald

If Henry Cavill were not in the DCEU he would be my pick for either Reed Richards or even for Norrin Radd/Silver Surfer because he has the voice for it and with motion cap he would be perfect

I hope if all goes well and if Comcast doesn’t spoil the fun that the MCU Fantastic Four film is not period piece. Asking a 1960’s Fantastic Four film is like asking for depression era Superman film if the DC cinematic universe did not have access to Superman until later.

Not to mention we’ve already seen the 1960’s MCU with the beginning of Ant-Man and there’s zero reference to the ultra-famous superhero quartet? If they retcon the Fantastic Four to have existed since the 60’s then how come they haven’t been mentioned? Certainly Hank Pym who might have crossed paths with them would’ve mentioned them instead of just his rival Howard Stark. For me, making the FF a 60’s piece wouldn’t make any sense and would be regression. I want a modern Fantastic Four film.

I agree with not having it set in the 60s. It would basically be confirming all those people who keep saying the FF are dated (which they're not). It is also often brought up because people want them to be the "first family" which is only one aspect of the team and not a very important one storywise. The most important aspects of the team are family and exploration/adventure.

The truth is that artificially inserting them into the MCU's past won't make people associate them with being the "first superheroes". Even though Steve and Pym technically came first, people still think of Iron Man being the first hero because he is and that's not going to change. A modern FF would be easy to incorporate into the MCU, they could it right now without a problem, and it has none of the massive plot holes putting them in the 60s would.

Reed and Ben - Late 30's early 40's
Sue - Early 20's
Johnny - Teens

Johnny should be the same age as Spider-Man
There should be a age gap between Reed and Sue the whole dynamic is Sue was attracted to Reed when she was in high school when Reed was in university.

I don't see why they would go down that route in the films, it has the potential to be a little creepy. There's nothing inherently wrong with an age gap between Sue and Reed, but they're not going to highlight Sue being attracted to her future husband when she's a child and he's an adult.

Have Ben in his 40's, Reed early 30's, Sue late 20s and Johnny 18-21.

I agree, but the challenging thing about this is Holland will probably be in the late 20's, pushing 30 by the time we get a F4 in the MCU.

2019: MCU Spider-Man 2
2021: Spider-Man: Graduation
2023-4: Fantastic Four, Tom Holland's College Days?
He'd be ~27 paying 19.

The 2005 version filmed when Sue and Johnny's actors were 23. There was an 8-year age gap between Reed and Sue's actors. What should be changed about that?

All I know is I want them to recreate this photo

If you've got an hour-plus to spare. Aaron's ideas here are really cool if not a little far-fetched.
