Also, I think he appeared even shorter than Daniel Craig, and it's not like Craig is even a tall guy. We don't need Doom looking so short.

That part doesn't even matter, since it's highly improbable that Waltz would agree to be the man in the mask. It'd be voice work.

I don't like his voice for Doom anyway.

Yeah, Waltz isn't menacing enough. He could be an MCU villain, but not Doom.

Maybe Wizard. He could do Wizard. Phase 3 did great things with lesser-known villains, so he might kick ass.

Wouldn’t it be fun if he wasn’t a villain for once? Maybe he can play Doctor Damian, the guy who discovers the tomb of the eternals

I think everybody can agree on one thing: We need to keep the best interpretation of Doom we've seen on screen. Yes, I'm talking about Victor Domeschev, whose online screen name is Doom.

Give us that, Marvel. Or we riot. :o

Haha oh u

Does anyone have any preferences for how the fantasticar should look? I could see it looking like this, all sleek edges and futuristic looking

You know, I kind of liked what they did in Rise of The Silver Surfer.

I'd like something close to the classic:
Fantastic%2BFour%2B147%2BFantasticar%2BBuckler.jpg

But maybe with some modernization of the lines. I'd want to keep it open, so they can have some fights on it etc. They can have closed vehicles like the Pogo Plane for long range, but the Fantasticar should be short-range for flying over NYC, and maybe to pop over to the Avengers, Agatha Harkness etc.

Yeah I liked it in the Story movies too. Controversial statement time, those movies weren’t perfect but I think there was actually some pretty good stuff in them. If Tim story had worked for marvel he probably would have made some really great ff movies that had many iconic throwbacks to the comics

Naomie Harris as Sue Storm. Great range. Loved her in everything I’ve seen her in. Can definitely do nurturing and confident.

Some things I liked:

1. Costumes
2. Silver Surfer
3. Fantasticar
4. Johnny's flaming effects

But then mixed in with those were painfully bad moments like Reed dancing in the club.

When I was watching that dancing scene, I remember sitting in the theater and having this weird feeling of complete embarrassment - as if the other people in the theater would know I was an FF fan and laugh at me for being so foolish.

We got that AND Peter’s dance/walk in Spider-Man 3. I swear, Marvel had some good crack then.

That looks cool, I wouldn't mind that kind of aesthetic for their gadgets if it was fused with Kirby's designs. As long as everything looks unique and futuristic I'd be fine. The designers should just go wild with their imagination and take some reference from Kirby.

I also want to see the Kirby Crackle finally in live action on the big screen in a FF film.

We need the flying bathtub for the Fantasticar!

This neatly sums up what I liked about the Story movies as well. I would put Surfer at the top and add that I thought some of the action sequences in FF2 were pretty creative and fun. I found FF2 more tolerable than its predecessor for those reasons despite Galactacloud.

When Michael B. Jordan was cast as Johnny Storm, I was against it but not because he is Black. (So am I.) My objection was that Sue was not also played by an African American. Making Sue adopted made having a Black Johnny and Franklin Storm seem like a stunt to me. Trank was telegraphing how edgy and different his version of the FF would be, but he didn't have the courage to include an interracial relationship/marriage in his film. There are any number of talented Black actresses who could have played Sue, not that I would have wanted anyone I admire to get caught up in Trank's disaster flick.

Of course, in the MCU Fantastic Four, we can expect to see Storm siblings who actually have a relationship with each other instead of strangers who never speak. Not to mention a team that feels like a family, as in the comics.

I completely agree and that was my same problem with the casting.

If Franklin Storm never said Sue was his daughter you would never have thought they even knew each other let alone siblings.

Just give me Oscar Isaac for Reed and get Peyton Reed or Brad Bird to direct. Then I'll be happy
