goran visnjic? big no. i will never understand why people in my country hail him as a great actor. he is so wooden and bland to me.

I don't think much of his acting prowess either.

Marvel need to cast someone who is actually Latverian for the role of Doom.

Closest country to Latveria, according to a comic, is Romania.

Too bad Sebastian Stan is already Bucky. :o

Thank you!

Same reason I keep saying only an atlantean should play Namor.
Or at the very least a lemurian.
Homo-mermanus representation is severely lacking in Hollywood.

And Silver surfer should be a silver guy probably.

Why does every thread devolve into talking about people's junk?

About time. Latverians have been criminally ignored. My ideal casting for Doom would be Doom himself, or at least his brother.

Wow... What a "stereotypical" nerd. :o

I mean... Who could not look at those images and immediately NOT think "nerd".

Looks just like the cast of REVENGE OF THE NERDS in comic form, right? :o

Yeah whenever I read Stan and jack mr fantastic he was always the one ready to throw down, not a thug but not a neck beard or whatever either.

You know, on doom, ramin karimloo is built like an absolute unit and has an operatic dramatic voice after playing the phantom of the opera and he could probably pass as romani more easily than previous suggestions

Id like to see Matthew Vaughn get a chance to redeem himself.

"I wouldn't mind maybe making a Fantastic Four film to apologise to everyone out there that maybe it didn't go very well for them," Vaughn told Cinemablend. "It's brilliant. One of my favourites is the Fantastic Four, so maybe one day I'll try and rectify the mistake."

I REALLY like this one. With his theatrical experience, he should be able to play Doom as larger than life... without getting goofy.

Interesting. Back when it was Fox, I didn't want him anywhere near it (despite my respect for him as a director). If he would be willing to work with Marvel and vice versa, it would be an intriguing pick.

For the most part I like his movies (Stardust is a guilty pleasure for me. Reminded me of the Princess Bride in a good way) but he has made some odd choices, ie: The design for Beast in First Class was laughably bad.

But he has a flair for action and humour (if somewhat too risqué at times) and I'd imagine if he got a gig with Marvel Feige would rein him in a bit.

Yeah, I was never as thrilled with First Class as some people seem to be, but I blame a lot of that on Fox and the Fox X-Structure he was forced to work with.

Based on some of his other films, he clearly has talent, creativity and story-telling capability. With Marvel providing their guidance and structure, I think he could do something interesting.

While not sold on Vaughn for the FF in totality... I think he would be the guy who could make Reed really interesting and not just some one note stock "nerd". If anything Vaughn's Reed would probably in terms of casting and writing be incredibly cool. I think Vaughn's Doom and Reed dynamic would be electrifying. It's other aspects I would fear.

Vaughn and Marvel/Disney would not get along. At all.

Just a hunch.

I never got the all the criticism for FC Beast

Beast looked perfect when Kelsey Grammer played him, but in FC it seemed as if the makeup team lost the ability to create good character designs. Mystique was notably worse-looking, as well. He looked like a blue werewolf with mange. It would have been better had the design of his face been modeled more closely on what they did with Grammer.

I prefer the FC Beast. The Kelsey Grammer version looks like he rolled around in some paint and put a wig on. Not a whole lot of designing going on there.

I would love a Brad Bird Fantastic Four but I don’t think he’d ever do a Marvel movie.

He never looked "beastly" enough for me. I know fanboys love their makeup and prosthetics and Fox enjoyed gripping the purse strings, but sometimes you gotta bite the bullet and use ****ing mocap.

To be completely honest, I prefer the First Class look. It looks much more animal-esque and mutated. Kelsey in that makeup would have been spectacular.

I hope the Beast we get in the MCU is motion capture

Yeah, I don't really get the idea that either is much better than the other, because they both looked pretty bad to me. And not just the design, but the way they moved in action scenes looked awkward, and unnatural and not close the spectacular acrobatics we should have seen.
