I REALLY like this one. With his theatrical experience, he should be able to play Doom as larger than life... without getting goofy.

Thank you, yes the more I think about it the more pleased I am

Id like to see Matthew Vaughn get a chance to redeem himself.

"I wouldn't mind maybe making a Fantastic Four film to apologise to everyone out there that maybe it didn't go very well for them," Vaughn told Cinemablend. "It's brilliant. One of my favourites is the Fantastic Four, so maybe one day I'll try and rectify the mistake."

Interesting. I wonder if he would be interested in adapting the millar and hitch run? I know it’s not considered amongst the best but I quite liked the mentors of doom and the evacuation of earth scene

Vaughn and Marvel/Disney would not get along. At all.

Just a hunch.

No you’re right there would definitely be problems. I mean he walked away from Thor. Sometimes it’s better not to get filmmakers that are as established because they tend to butt heads with the company vision and the FF probably can’t take another hit

I feel like Disney kinda lets you do what you want as director but you have to agree to tie some of that **** into the bigger arc they always have in place.

I wouldn't mind seeing what Alexander Dreymon could do, if given a shot at playing Dr. Doom. I liked what he did as Uhtred in The Last Kingdom. Sorry no pic, but I'm apparently too old/stupid to pull that off.

If you know ahead of time what that might be then it’s fine but it could be a problem if something is sprung in you when you are already in deep.

I think there's a decent chance Peyton Reed would jump over to do it. It's a passion of his, it seems like he and Marvel have a very good relationship, and fans loved his rejected pitch for the original Fantastic Four movie from way back.

How about Lily James as Sue?

She needs to be in the MCU, and as someone heroic rather than a villain. I prefer her to be blonde than brunette. She has the warmth for Sue.

This is a great choice!!

Where’s Carey mulligan these days? She would make a fun Sue

I like his passion, but I want an FF film to feel different from Marvel's other films and unique. That's why i want a different director for it, but I definitely think Peyton Reed should be involved to help guide it a bit, maybe in a producer role. Because he definitely has love for the team and could help make it feel like the FF.

I think she'd be a great Alicia Masters. She has the kind of sensitivity as an actress that could sell the idea of her falling for a sweet guy in the body of a rock monster.

Would it be crazy to cast an actual blind woman for Alicia?

No, if they find a good actress who fits the part in other ways as well. I don't think actual blindness should be a requirement, though. That would seriously limit the list of potential casting choices.

I think so too. I wouldn't be surprised if he talks to Feige about doing Guardians 3 either

i like reed, but not sure if he'd want to replace TWO marvel directors that have their own unique style and fanbase lol

Baby Driver is about the only thing I’ve seen her in and I thought she looked quite a bit like Daisy Ridely of Star Wars fame.

She's not really like Daisy Ridley. She's much prettier. She reminds me of someone else I know though.

She's been in Cinderella and also Mamma Mia Here We Go Again and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. And of course, Downton Abbey.

lily james as sue is pretty great casting

but tbh i don't want a younger sue, i want an older/motherly sue, i know she can grow into it (might take a while because she looks youthful), but i hope it's not another homecoming scenario whey they start at the beginning again

But we don't want a Sue who is 40. That just isn't Sue. What is the age you want her to be?

Lily James is 29.

So blind people can't act now? :word:

29's good. You can do anything when you're 29. Lily may as well join the MCU since she's already in every movie that gets made now anyway.

If they are going young for Fantastic Four then my casting would look like this:

Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic- Andrew Garfield
Ben Grimm/The Thing- Armie Hammer (if he isn't grabbed by DC)
Sue Storm/Invisible Woman- Lily James
Johnny Storm/Human Torch- Colin Ford
Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom- Alexander Dreymon

Armie Hammer has none of the charisma of Ben Grimm. I don't think he could do the humour either.

And I think Garfield looks too boyish for Reed. He'd be too much like the Ultimates Reed.

Colin Ford will play Steve Danvers in Captain Marvel.

NO to Garfield.
