On Reading Reviews: A Different Vision for Us?

Agreed. Perhaps if Jimmy didn't have Superman he could have been given more to do, but you never know...

I think the most we can hope for is a brief return near the end of the battle to reunite with Jean one last time, or a secret scene revealing he's alive.

Possible scenarios for a secret scene with Scott:

1. Scott waking up in a hospital bed.
2. Exterior of hospital, hear him call out for Jean, blasts through the roof.
3. Cyclops found by campers along Alkali Lake passed out on the shore
4. Cyclops waking up in a lab, strapped down to a bed
5. Scott standing over Xavier and Jean's graves, arm in a sling, bandaged up, then looks back at the school, sees Storm with the kids, smiles, and walks away

It would be cool but i'm almost certain that won't happen, was never scripted or shot.

Well of course it wouldn't be scripted because it's big spoiler. As for the shooting part...you don't know.

Still in denial? :p

I feel that Marsden should have spoke up about his role in this film. Plus he shouldn't have went along with Singer to do superman. While I think if he didn't leave to do superman, he may or may not have the role he should have in x3, but if I were Marsden, I would have spoken up or talk things out with Ratner... so i think marsden is partly to blame. Im not saying all of it is his fault. He's a great actor and I love Cyclops, but still he should have spoke up. He's Cyclops for godsakes. Who cares what Fox thinks about the character, Cyclops's role should have been more important in the Phoenix storyline.

I opt for scenario number 6:

They are fighting and it looks like they are going to loose, blah blah blah, then...off screen.. BLAST!! Scottie comes is blasting the s_hit right outta everyone saving the day! They all rejoice, Logan dies, Jean and scott make love and Kitty remains cooler than rogue (imo).
One can dream huh?

Funny.

I think you guys give Jimmy more power than he has. It seems to me that Fox wasn't thrilled with how Cyclops turned out in the movies (ie Jimmy). So if he argued or was as we call "high maintenance" we would have gotten a recast and still had him die.

In the end, an actor is just an employee, they have no real power unless they are HUGE award winning celebrities, or producing the movie themselves...
hint, hint...

Plus, Jimmy signed on to Superman, before it was even clear what was going to happen with X3. And considering he got shafted in the first two movies, we may have gotten the same treatment, even if he was totally free.

Well again, he should have said something... but Its Fox to blame all the more.

Exactly, I'm sick of the Marsden bashing that I have seen on numerous forums. I mean, he doesn't make as much as the other stars to just sit on his butt and twiddle his thumbs until Fox called him for X3.

Well, I noticed that alot of people are worried about the running time of this movie so, next Tuesday night I will post the exact running time since I am going too a pre-screening of the movie. And I am positive that I will be seeing the real version of this movie since it is so close to actual release date. But, I am also planning on going too see X3 on friday as well so, if there are different versions of the movie then I will know for sure and put these rumors too rest.

Good idea. :D
P.S. I like your screen name! :)

As I am watching X2, Ian McKellen talked about Angel...said he is the definition of a killing machine? That he would be very useful in the X-Men arsenal? Interesting, very interesting.

yea i found this intresting aswell... they didnt show any NEW FOOTAGE of him either... which is oddd, due to the fact everyone else had new footage...

OK so Jean is wearing that HUGE Phoenix necklace in X2 and they're not gonna have the firebird effect in X3...yeah right.
