And hopfully "pick up soon" means Dean Ambrose.

How much longer are they going to keep Dean from debuting?

July 23rd is my guess. Ambrose would definitely make the shows more interesting for me, but I don't know about everyone else.

I am interested in Ambrose.

Also interested in the newly revamped NXT. I wonder what happens to Maxine though.

Wrestling in general has always had filler and so not sure why it's some of you are acting like current WWE is just filler,Plus the ppv itself is a big-time filler ppv and MITB will be the same until Summerslam and from there until it gets to Survivor Series then Rumble&Mania!!

I hear rumors that Frank Mir might be interested in WWE. I don't see that happening. He's an excellent color commentator and I think that's where his future is in MMA. It would not surprise me if he replaces Frank Shamrock in Strikeforce.

Likewise, I don't see Tito Ortiz or Rampage Jackson in WWE either. It would not surprise me entirely though to see them do the Bellator/TNA thing if they want to continue to fight in MMA.

I give you last year's MITB, 2002-2004 SD, and all of 2000 and 2001 in the WWF as to why you are so wrong about that.

Filler = matches where they are not announced until the PPV already has started and usually the crowd doesn't give a flying flip.

Last year MITB wasn't a filler PPV. If they expect people to pay a ton of money for their PPVs they could act like they care.

I wonder if Punk will be able to headline just one PPV this year as champ.
.

If he wrestles John Cena.

I just want the midcard to matter more. Do you remember when those midcard titles actually meant something? Do you remember when WWE usually announced something like a number 1 contendership tag match BEFORE the PPV?

The WWE is like Adam Sandler movies: they get worse every time.

Updated standing in the PPV Prediction thread. AND!! Five perfect cards!!

If he wrestles John Cena.

I'm a bit worried that Money in the Bank will have Punk vs Cena once more and with Cena walking out with the title since Punk/Bryan could be dead and Cena really has nothing to do with Johnny Ace anymore. I doubt Show will just go after Cena for no reason now.

Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler....my picks to win Money in the Bank.

We've got 5 guys in WWE right now who are on undefeated streaks. They come out and sqaush people every week. Why can't the WWE put Brodus, Sin Cara, Ryback, Cesaro, and Sandow in feuds or something? That's what I mean by filler. It's not 1993 anymore and WWE has 5 hours now, so sqaush matches aren't going to cut it.

I agree I'm tired of the squash matches. It would be fine if it was like 1 or maybe 2,but now it's overkill.

Exactly. I would be okay with 1 or 2 guys being built like this at the same time, but 5 is too much.

Punk/Bryan/Kane was awesome as to be expected.

The Divas match between Layla and Beth wasn't awful which is surprising as its a WWE divas match. Atleast those tow can actually wrestle.

WWE number one contender tag team match was fun. So are the WWE finally giving us a proper tag division? I for one hope so.

Everything else was meh.

Squash matches are getting a little repetitive.

Shame Cena has gone back to the doo doo head routine after his feud with Brock.

Um Right Roode just can't get a clean win in his current title reign which is just sad.

At least Robert Roode is winning and IN the main event. At least he's got the excuse of being a heel and there was a time when they more often the not won with dirty tricks. Christ they got Sheamus jerkin the curtain like he was the Light Heavyweight champion. I take that back: Even Taka didn't go on first as much.

Punk can barely get a main event slot when he doesn't have Big Quadsy wasting his time or The Nose of Noses wanted to go over him.

He beat AJ and Anderson clean.

Didn't he beat RVD in a LADDER MATCH of all things? Not even Roodes forte.

They've got the talent. Thats the frustrating part.

The WWE will probably have squash matches from now until Wrestlemania 29, where the main squash match will be Ryback vs. 29 jobbers. He will then spend the next three years doing nothing by squashing jobbers.

The WWE is just going through a period of creative paralysis right now, one that hopefully will pass soon. The situation with Cena (him main eventing every event without a title, his feud with Laurinaitis) wasn't really thought out, and yesterday's match results was a way of cold-booting the Cena plotline. Guys like Ryback, Clay and Sandow are kind of in a holding pattern; these guys are good, each in their own way, but right now creative just has them treading water until they figure out what to do with them.

Some positive signs though, that this stagnant period will turn itself around soon:

- The tag team contenders match last night. A great sign of mid- and lower-card renewal.
- Cody Rhodes vs. Christian: great to see a young, motivated heel going after the IC title; if you didn't know any better, you'd think the IC title was more prestigious than the World title
- Daniel Bryan. This guy is the real money man in the WWE right now. If they wanted to turn Cena heel, they can now, because Bryan can easily take his place.
