oh really? i shouldn't bother trying to involve Colossus in anything then, should i
do we keep our characters for the next season, or do we have to re-apply?

Didn't MB say he'd be back by now? I can't really do anything til he posts.

[EDIT: Ah, speak of the devil!]

I imagine it's just like the other RPGs in that you'll have to re-apply each season.

Also, something I want to suggest to the GMs is adding the sample post that is required in the app from the DC RPG.
It would help control the quality of the game by making sure that the person who's applying knows their character and plays them correctly.
It would also allow us to help those posters who might need a hand in learning the nuances of the RPG before they post in the IC thread.

The sample post wouldn't have to be huge, just a couple of paragraphs to show that you know the character you want to play.
And, just like in the DC RPG, those applying for the same character they played the previous season could post up one of their IC posts from last season as their sample.

MB and Andy, you don't have to do it, but could you slow down just a bit? I want to get the team out to the fight, if only to watch and clean up the mess you'll be making. Problem is we're a day behind and need a couple of posts to catch up. I'm already planning a post to jump Jay up if need be, but that may end up bunnying the others too much (no dialog, just a some assumptions about Tony, Dinah, and Ollie).

I suppose we could have some dialogue before the fight. Sorry if things are getting jumbled up.

It's not your fault. You don't have to slow down if you don't want, the group could always show up late, give Superman that extra burst of support when he needs it most.

If we're lucky, maybe two. We've got alot of work ahead of us, both storywise and behind the scenes, so I can't really see it finishing within the week unless we commit to it like crazy. But since most of us have other RPG's to worry about aswell, that may not be possible.

What I think we need to get cleared is how exactly we're going to approach the new season, as far as any changes to the thread, rules, application, and roster. Not to mention details within the story, like how much time has passed, the state of the world, ect.

Hopefully all of the GM's can be availible for chat at the same time, before then, so we can decide all of that and forward it to OC for approval.

Are we going to assume Dinah and Tony already had their discussion? Either way works.

Personally, I think we should create a new thread for Season II. Treat it the same as the other RPGs and what not. Not to mention a fresh start with a new thread might help bring people in as well.

Rules...I think the standard RPG rules that are in place for the other major RPGs work fine. Just make sure to post links to Twy's RPG etiquette post and such so that others can check it out if they need to.

I think we should adopt the application template that we are using for the DC RPG this season. It seems to work damn good there and I think it would be great over here. If not, I think we at least should definitely require sample posts from anyone signing up. That way we can find out if they know the character well enough and will treat them properly. Also it would help us help them with spelling, punctuation, and the like if need be.

Roster...with using a universal screen name I don't see how the roster would be a problem. All it would take is for whatever GM is online at the time to edit it properly. Simple stuff.

Them's my two cents...

Oh, I'm sure we will. I only meant the changes we should make to the first post, in making a new thread, as opposed to copy/pasting what's already there.

I mean as far as lining it up, not updating. Like, right now it's split between DC and Marvel. I'm wondering if we should make it Heroes and Villains, or Marvel Heroes/Marvel Villains/DC Heroes/DC Villains, or something. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to alphabetise it... the current roster was done by order of who signed up. And adding fonts, aswell... Basically anything to make it more like the other RPG's, while still keeping it as unique as possible.

Ah, ok. Well, other than the basic info that all RPers should need (rules, roster, links to RPG 101 and etiquette, etc) I can't really think what should be added, personally. All the major stuff seems to be covered.
Only real thing I can think of that would be helpful for players would be a rundown of what happened in the OU world last season and a link to the past IC and OOC threads.

I like the ideas of making it simply heroes and villains, Shows more unification that way, IMO at least.
Alphabetizing it would be cool (by character) and would make it easier for newbies to find out if the character they want to play is taken.
And the fonts would be a nice touch too to make it more like the other RPGs.

BTW, Byrd Man, about what sort of strength ratio would Power Man have? Wikipedia lists him as having Class 25 Strength, but since I don't know Marvel's stats, I'm not sure how that stacks up to Zod (who's physically on par with Superman and has been classified in the same threat-level as Doomsday) Just askin', so I know whether to sell the hit or just have Power Man bounce off harmlessly.

I think Luke would be able to move Zod and knock him back a few feet if he's caught off guard, not thirty feet in the air.

cool, i can't wait until Season II
and unlike the Marvel and DC RPGs, i only missed one season, so i won't feel as confused...

Quick question...

Would Galactus coming to Earth ruin anyone's plans for next season?

I was sort of hoping for it.

Now all we'll need is a Fantastic Four...

Yeah. We used to have a pretty kickass FF, actually. :(

I was thinking of forming a Heroes For Hire team next season and was wondering if anyone has plans for Jessica Jones or The Creeper? I might also use Captain Atom and Black Cat.

we don't have ANY FF?

We used to have a Reed Richards, a Thing, and a Johnny, but none have played for some time. (Thing actually quit, I forget if Johnny and Reed did)

Sue gets no love. :(

I found further info on the Luke Cage question:

Cage is superhumanly strong, able to lift/press approximately 25 tons and punch through barriers as thick as four-inch steel plate. Cage's strenth is currently estimated at around 25 tons. The sheer toughness of his skin allows him to hit harder than most other powered beings of similar strength. His skin is steel-hard and his muscles and bone tissue super-dense; his toughness has been compared to that of the X-Man Colossus in metal form. He can withstand conventional handgun fire at a range of four feet and cannot be cut by the sharpest of blades, although in the event of required surgery his skin can be lacerated by an overpowered medical laser. He can withstand up to one-ton impacts or blasts of 150 pounds of TNT without serious injury, and is impervious to temperature extremes and electrical shocks. His recovery time from injury or trauma is usually one-third that of an ordinary human.
