I thought we were introducing the characters...then creating our own stories for them? I just think its kinda lame, that if I want to be Mr. Fantastic, I automatically have to have the other members tied to me for some reason. Just because Canuckle is playing Wolverine, it does'nt mean he has to carry all the X-men around with him. I don't mean to be rude or anything, it's just how I feel, ya know? but if I must, i'll have the FF

True. But Wolverine is not as closely tied to the Xmen as Reed is to the FF. Anyway, do what you want. Alls I'm saying is, we should be somewhat reasonable with this. Mabey we should try and get more FF characters.

We're all starting from the beginning, so yeah, we essentially are rewriting the characters.

You think cause Deadpool's got that whole he knows hes in a comic routine that i can just run in with what i got. I was basically just gonna do Deadpool in the DC-verse anyway. No other Marvel Characters.

ic, I was a little confused starting ouot by i get it know. Is it safe to assume most characters are pre existing. If not, it seems like we should have more than one. Like if we start a character we should put an update in a thread. Like if I use Killer Croc, I would update a thread saying I used Killer Croc because I think some confusion will certainly follow. I think I get it now though.

As for now, I'll edit using Batman, if the user with Batman wants to give me the A-Ok. I wasnt planning on going any further with Nightwing in this case anyway. I just needed someone to step in Deadpool's way

Why? Its way funner this way...it gives you the freedom to do what you want with them (unless your mister fantastic lol jj)

Why? If people are going to be getting things mixed up or arent clear on what is going on with a character they need to ask the person whose little world they are going in on (ie. Deadpool).

You can always have an established relationship between another RP character just as Olcanucklehead and I have done. Some backgrounds can't be just discarded afterall, there would be a lot less conflict if Sabretooth and Wolverine didn't have some sort of past conflicts.

I guess it just comes down to people communicating between each other and actually reading every post to stay current. I mean we should be doing that already anyways thats the whole point of an RPG.

But what if I want to use a character as an NPC who isnt picked but down the line someone wants to pick the character. they loose the chance of setting them up the way they want. They have to use them the way I set them up. Is that the understanding. I'll obviously use the character sparingly as said in the rules. I just want to make sure I don't screw up.

Well, they can always make some sort of backstory with them that might fit around your set up. Besides if someone wants to use an NPC that has already made an appearance they should be respectful to the story that another RPer has created.

As for Sparta* not wanting to be in the Fantastic Four, he shouldn't have to be. We as other players should not dictate what he will do as long as he has a believeable explanation.

The problem i see with the some characters not being established is they have no history with their villain and more importantly with Supes there's no JLA.
