Keyser Soze said:Oh for God's sake. I can't even leave for a weekend in Edinburgh, without coming back to crap like this? I really can't be bothered going into this, as its 2am and I just want to go to sleep, but Sparta and LibrarianThorne, what BOTH of you did was extremely unprofessional. I have held both of you in high regard - as players and as people - so I have to say I'm very disappointed by your immature behaviour in this situation.
I'm glad you seem to be working towards resolving this, but more needs to be done. So much could have been done with the drama of the Ultimate Nullifier storyline. But did either of you play along with it? No, it became a bloody ego-trip, a p!ssing contest to see who could win some petty battle of wills between the two of you. Sparta, by nullifying Darkseid without his approval, you disregarded not only the integrity of your own confrontation, but the storylines of every other player in the RPG. Did you read any of the posts by the characters on the mothership? Don't you think "erasing" them would create some kind of problem? And destroying Darkseid's campaign with the push of a button completely ruins what I was setting up for Lex Luthor. It was lazy writing, plain and simple.
But that doesn't excuse LT's response. "I'm ignoring that post" is just about the most pathetic thing you can say in an RPG. If you are faced with a problem, you talk to the person involved, and DEAL WITH IT. And if you can't do that, you write around it. Just pretending that the problem you're faced with never happened does nothing to help the scenario, and just creates problems for the whole RPG.
Now, I've already taken much more time on this than I wanted to. Both of you - get this sorted. You've been with this RPG from the start. Do you really want to drive it into the ground? Because that's what your doing now. Sorry if I came in and stirred things up just when they were calming down, but I feel that - if I've been appointed as an AGM - I'm not going to stand back and let crap like this go on.
Keyser, I am in complete agreement with you. What I did, I did in anger. I'm sure if someone suddenly and against your wishes erased your character and any and all support your character had from existence, you'd be fairly ticked off too. It doesn't excuse what I did by any means, but I do not think the English language has enough descriptive adjectives to properly convey the amount of anger I had over the weekend.
Regardless, it's resolved now and I did learn a rather valuable lesson.
Like that little:
