"One Universe" Marvel & DC Crossover RPG!

So what about my idea of the boom tube letting everyone out at Xavier's?

I'd rather if it was like Time Square or something close to home for Tony and Dinah. We have a league to form. :p

Also, I don't want to be in an arc with Creed and OC anymore than I have to be.

They might pee on me. :(

:p ;)

Soze you can shoot me if you like. Then Luthor can act all smug and Wade will just get up and kick his ass.

Might not be good for Lex to shoot Wade in cold blod with all those reporters around. Unless they've left of course, and Cap doesn't see it. ;)

We'll say the reporters scattered once Deadpool arrived on the scene and began killing people. But still, Lex wouldn't shoot to kill in front of Captain America. I'll give a "warning" shot...

And there goes the arc. :down

Rather lack luster I think. Ruins any and all character interaction I planned on.

I'd like to put in my two very late cents, even if I will get yelled at for reinstating the argument. :o

That was a disgusting post and very immature. I have to admit I've see the portrayal of characters in this RPG that I'm not at all happy with, yet I figured I'd get into my own arc away from those chracters and all would be good.

Now I make the request. I do not..I DO NOT want to have Victor or OC in ANY Arc I, myself am in. I have lost any and all lingering respect I had for them in the way they RPed their characters.

I appreciate X for all he's done, he's done a much better job as a GM than I've seen anyone else do.

Ok I will comment on this in just a moment but for now I want to say...............I dont always use paragraphs because im in a rush :(

OK now back on topic. As far as the last posts bewtween Creed and myself we tried to come up with an action that would be fitting of his character. First of all hes not a hero, hes not respectfull, hes not a gentelman, and he could give a damn about propriaty. Keep in mind that Sabretooth has molested and raped many women through out comic book history, so if you would prefer those kind of story arcs wich are very much more acurate in terms of that character than why dont you tell him that you prefer that and I'm sure he'll get right on it. We tried to come up with something that carried with it a similar level of disgust and disrepect on par with Sabretooths personality. He could have done many more things that would be subject to a long list of rants, but would have been much more accurate in terms of his character.

On the subject of LT leaving, I nor anyone else aked for him to leave, I recieved several complaints about his actions from a number of players and GMs. I steped in the middle and sent out a group PM to resolve the matter. Within it I realy didnt ask for much, just that certain things be edited for the sake of the RPG. I in no way asked him to leave, just to respect my wishes and the wishes of those who complained. I did not want for this to turn in to a mutanist fiasko, hence the reason I attempted a settlement in PMs. Rather than PMing me back with any questions on the matter, LT proceded to post the same thing he sent to me in a PM. He could have handeled it outside of the OOC thread, asked me questions, come up with a solution that he could live with better, did he do that? NO! I didnt ask him to leave, and TWY I'll show you, I will PM you vey soon.

As far as your comment on not wanting to interact with Vic or myself, I'm am truely sorry to hear that. You have been an exceptional help with this RPG, your ideas for even the smallest of things have been met with the greatest of apreciation. If that is what you decide to do, I can not stop you, I only hope that in time you change your mind. I have done my best to mediate without direct confrontation in the OOC thread. But I could not ignore the complaints of others.

This has not been the first time I recieved complaints about LT. If I had ignored the THIRD set of complaints, how could I view myself as a good GM? I did what was necisary without being to confrontational. I kept it simple and did not ask for much. I could have, as many people aked me to do, BAN him from the RPG. But I didnt. I have tried to make that the furthest thought from my mind. But I can not ignore the constant recuring beligerance. Several players have come to me feeling insulted by the aragonce of certain posts in the OOC thread, along with several GMs. I did my ver best to mediate the situation.

I think that for a great majority the focus of the argument was on mine and Vics posts instead of the rude, crass, arogant, and beligerant nature of LTs comments. But were we once asked to edit our posts? Did we recieve a single PM about them? NO! And if we had I could gaurantee that we would have edited them. If anyone in this RPG feels uncomfortable of offended I do my very best to take care of them, I always have. Inclusive of LTs posts, of which I HAVE recieved a number of complaints. If ANYONE wishes that we edit our posts let me know, keep in mind however that Sabretooth is a disrepectfull, evil, bastard of a character, and is in NO way a hero, so that type of behavior is to say the least the tip of the ice burg. He could have posted Sabretooth ding much more sadistic or twisted things much worse than pissing off of a tower. (i.e. his origonal post where he individualy plucked out the teeth of a soilder with his bowie knife) But if anyone still has problem with the post and wishes that we edit, than tell us. So far no one has.

I think there has been a great misunderstanding of the situation here and I hope it can be resolved without dividing the RPG. Thank you.

I don't speak for LT, but I felt that the urination post was out-of-context, not out-of-character. Sure, Sabretooth is a crude jackass, but he isn't stupid. He would know that the situation on Apokolips is a deadly serious one, and that taking the time to reveal himself and urinate like that would leave him open to an attack from any nearby Parademons, or whatnot.

And I have to say that this whole thing between OC and Creed and LT was handled terribly by the GMs involved. I am fully aware of the fact that both OC and Creed are GMs, but if a GM is involved in a player conflict, then he should step out of his GM role and allow another GM to step in and mediate, not use his GM status to “validate” his point in the dispute. This is childish, and anyone who does it should either seriously change their attitude about the "authority" they have as GM, or step down.

Also, there are too many GMs. Truthfully, a game like this only needs one GM. The whole AGM thing started in the BnK RPG's because BnK wasn't doing his job. He'd disappear for some time, or complain about his social life, so help was brought in. As of right now, each of the "big 2" games are being run by one GM each: Midnight Ice in Marvel, twylight in DC. And both are doing a great job of it. (Sure, some others are accepting applications, but those two seem to do most of the hard work.)

Just my two cents on this.

There wasnt a thing between us THREE. It was between Creed and LT, and the I recieved a number of complaint from others. I did what I could to mediate the problem in ways that would apease all of those involved. I as a GM cant ignore the complaints, and its not the first time I have recieved them. I have done my BEST to mediate here. As far as the RPG only needing one GM I have recruted the rest so that no one believes that my decisions are biased or conroling, I wanted to have multiple says in the matter, but as far as any major decisions I do have the control and authority to step up and make the final decision.

On the note of Creed pising. No one asked for an edit? If anyone wants an edit, ask for one, I have already stated that. We cant psychicly know when you want us to edit. Every time that I have been asked to edit a post for one reason or the other I have, havent I? If you would like it changed dont biker about the post, just ask for an edit, youll find that I'm a very understnding guy. :)

Ok, sorry for the misunderstanding there. It just seemed to me that there was a bit of tension (to put it nicely) between you and LT, which kind of lead to most of your "moderation" posts to seem heavy-handed and like you were talking down to him.

That's a very difficult thing to avoid at times, especially when there's player-GM tension involved. Believe me, I know, it's hard. I've lost games that way, and almost lost friends too. But, the bottom line is, the most important thing about being a GM is impartiality, and it's also the hardest aspect to master.

I sent LT a pm after he said he was quitting to tell him that I had no problem in changing the post. All he had to do was PM me to ask instead of bringing up his distaste in this thread. It all could have been avoided if he had taken his own advice and PMed me. If anyone wants me to go back and just cut the pissing part out and stick with the sliding down the side I'm cool with that, I've never had a problem. It was the attack on me and my character as he stated "It was crude and unfunny but I guess I shouldn't expect anything else from you" that pissed me off.

Well, the precedence set forward by the other, older RPGs for editing is this: Once someone complains about a post (no matter how rudely they do so) the person who posted the "offending" post, usually asks if they should edit, or (more likely) they be proactive and go ahead and edit the post.

Which is what I asked, instead of anyone suggesting, hey why don't you edit that post, it's disgusting, all that happened was attempts at degrading myself and my characterization and complaining.

Twylight said:
Ask yourself honestly, would they have done the same to anyone else playing Darkseid?

I beg to differ that no, they wouldn't. They did it because they knew it would get a rise out of LT, and it did.
Because of his past experience on the RPG he's touchy, who wouldn't be?
I LEFT the Marvel RPG a few seasons ago because of this exact reason.

Give him the benefit of the doubt, he acted fairly well when they refused to change it, he didn't call them names or curse or use crude language.
Your conspiracy theories against LT are complete bull. I only had a problem with LT because of the complaining about how someone's character wasn't being played correctly.

Actually this post right here:

It was still really, really crass and unfunny. Yet, I shouldn't really expect much more, should I?

is the start of the argument and if I am mistaken that is a degrading statement. I did not refuse to change it, nor did he ask me to. He simply BEGAN the attack, and I was not going to take it sitting down. I have nothing against him, I simply was mad at the time because of that statement and both LT and I are guilty of acting immaturely and PMed him with an apology after I calmed down.

Twylight said:
But you know what? Red X told them to stop and LT did. Guess who didn’t? Creed.
As for the post made after Red X asked us to stop, I had been writing it at the time of his post, so I did not see Red X's post until after I had posted my own.

Everyone probably thinks it was me who complained about LT to Canuckle, but in all honesty I never did. Sure we had our discrepancies, but I thought he was a good poster, and had no problem rp'ing with him as long as we stayed out of eachothers faces which we did. I'm not the kind of person who will run and cry to the GM...but now i'm wondering who actually did complain about him

Screen Name: Spider-Man9x17

Character you would like to play and a brief description of his/her powers and Bio: Gambit
The Prince of the Guild of Thieves, he has the abilities to transform the potential energy of any object into kinetic energy, thus turning it into a high power explosive. His weapon of choice is playing cards

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. Gambit is my all time favorite X-Man, and possibly one of the best of all time.

2. He's a badass who plays by his own rules, but he's also a good guy. Killer combo.

3. It's a chance to tweak the character to a new universe.

What can you bring to this game?
Fun stories with a lot of heart

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: At least once

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards:

OC and creed are on my block list.
I love this RPG to death, and I don't want to leave, if the GM's need to tell me anything Red X can tell me. He's the only one I trust.

Creed has insulted me and said I had a conspiracy, which isn't true. I was only pointing out something.

Trying to point something out to them is like trying to explain the sky to the ceiling of a bunker.

Woah.

*sits down, makes popcorn, and gets soda*

This s**t's better than Jerry Springer.

Here's the definition of Conspiracy Theory.

A theory seeking to explain a disputed case or matter as a plot by a secret group or alliance rather than an individual or isolated act.

I could really care less as to what Twylight thinks, but if she thinks I have insulted her it is her own deal and what she was suggesting was in fact as I stated in my last post a conspiracy theory. There have been no Anti-LT meetings or anything of the like. Obviously I have no problem stating how I feel so if there had been some kind of thing like that about LT or anything I'd let it be known rather than sit here wasting my time on thickheaded people who'd rather get involved in something and decide to block someone to avoid seeing it through than actually seeing it through.

If Twylight didn't want to catch any heat from me she shoulda kept her mouth shut rather than stirring me back up. She has acted just as immaturely as the rest of us involved and she has chosen to block OC and I as her "mature" decision. Good Job.
