"One Universe" Marvel & DC Crossover RPG!

As I told you in PM, he is welcome back with open arms as long as he obeys the rules. Hope to see him post soon.

LibrarianThorne was a credit to this RPG, and an exceptional player. I, for one, would definatley not mind his return.

I got the PM seconds after posting.

I'd be cool with it. I was never involved with any of the fights he was involved in(except my hilarious commentary on his and sparta's fight). He's a really good poster but I'd suggest dropping Darkseid for the time being. Right now we should be having more character driven stories, not huge invasions. I did like his Green Arrow though.

Well, I can't turn down all this gushing praise, can I? MB's and Keyser's recommendations were amazing, and I thank OC for letting me back in. First, though, I'd like to get the non-fun stuff out of the way. I've had time to ponder what was said, and I've come to the conclusion that in a lot of ways what happened was my fault. I should have held my tongue and followed my own advice, PMing OC and Creed about the matter.

So, to OC, Sparta, and Victor Creed and others who were offended, I want to apologize for how I acted. It was rude, and I should have known better.

Ok, now that that's all out of the way, on to the fun stuff:

"One Universe" RPG SIGN-UP FORM

Screen Name: Librarian Thorne

Character you would like to play and a brief description of his/her powers and Bio: Thor, Norse god of Thunder and Lightning. He can fly, and while he wears the Belt of Thor has tremendous strength. He wields the mystical hammer Mjolnir, forged by the Dwarves in ages gone by from the heart of a sun. The hammer has incerdible mystical power, and can be used to, among other things, channel immense mystical power and call down lightning and storms.

Thor is the god of Thunder, half-brother to Loki the trickster God and son of Odin One-Eye, lord of the Asgardians. He is also a warrior god, and traveled the world in ages gone by; recounting the tales of glorious battles with the vikings was one of his favorite pastimes. However, time passed and Thor was seen less and less until eventually he lived in Asgard, as did all the other Norse. He returned to Earth recently to combat Darkseid, and there fell in battle. After the battle, he returned to Asgard.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. He's a freakin' god, to quote George Perez.

2. I've got some amazing storylines cooked up for Thor, not the least of which will be him dealing with the fact that he is literally a god on Earth.

3. Ol' Goldilocks represents a really cool challenge for me to RP as, and he has great rapport with several Marvel characters. I'd love to see what relationships he develops with DC characters as well.

What can you bring to this game?

What can't I bring would seem to be the better question at this point. :) Seriously though, I can bring the sort of epic scale storytelling that really befits a character of Thor's stature.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: At least once, though hopefully more if I get involved in a storyline.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards:

Very true to the character. I liked the interaction with Loki, not to many people even using him as an NPC in the other RPG's.

Hey everyone! I've just realised we're past the 1000 post mark. Congratulations to you all for making the RPG last this long!

Now, in the Marvel and DC RPGs, we have a little tradition. Every 1000 posts, we have RPG Awards. Here are the categories we usually have:

BEST STORYLINE
BEST HERO
BEST VILLAIN
BEST DEVELOPED CHARACTER
BEST FIGHT
BEST POST

So, maybe we should all post up our nominations. It's a good opportunity to engage in some mutual back-slapping, and look back on all the great stuff that's happened in the RPG. Mine's will be up later tonight. Have fun!

BEST STORYLINE: DARKSEID'S INVASION

I really don't want to toot my own horn, especially since everyone else does it better than me, but I loved Darkseid's invasion. Every second of it. It was amazing, to me, to see how everyone reacted to it. The panic on the part of Tony and Dinah, the confidence of Cap and Superman, the determination of Lex; everyone involved handled it with great aplomb. I'm not voting for it because I thought my posts were anything special, I'm voting for it because of what everyone else did and how it brought everyone together for one massive battle at the end.

BEST HERO: THE FLASH, JAY GARRICK

No doubt about it, I've loved weig's take on Jay. The interactions he's had with everyone, and the way that wieg writes Jay is simply dead-on. I'd love to do a story arc with wieg in the future.

BEST VILLAIN: LEX LUTHOR

Keyser's Lex has been great. I've been reading none-too-little Luthor in the comics, and KS's rendition of the character has been nothing short of spot on. The hatred that Lex has for Superman and the other heroes, how Lex has twisted Cap to his whim, and the assault on New York by Lex's robot was just excellent. You do a really, really good bad guy, Keyser!

BEST DEVELOPED CHARACTER: SUPERMAN

The back to basics approach was a really interesting way to start out the RPG, and Master Bruce's Man of Steel is the example that I look to. MB has fleshed out Superman, and each of his posts show more and more about Superman in this world. I look forward to every post, and they just keep on getting better!

BEST FIGHT: ALL OF 'EM!

There are seriously too many great fights for me to pick just one. I loved the desperate fight between Darksied and Superman/Thor. Darkseid/Juggernaught had a lot of action and I really felt bad for Broadway. Hulk vs. everyone was really cool too, and gah! How am I supposed to choose just one?!

BEST POST:

This is where I don't vote. There are just too many good posts from good players for me to choose just one. The RPG is fantastic, everybody! Keep it up!

Can do!

BEST STORYLINE: The Star City Smackdown
So much s**t happened there--we practically got to meet everyone, and we all got to take a shot at The Hulk. It was just some good character interaction.
(NOTE: I might have done the Apokoypis stuff, but I wasn't there for it, so I can't say anything)

BEST HERO: Tie: Spider-Man (The Question) & Superman (Master Bruce)
Both characters were brilliant rendictions, perfectly in tune with their characters, while still adapting with the other characters.
Spidey--great humor, I honestly think that's how Stan and them would write him if he was starting now and in this universe. I can't wait to team-up with ya!
Supes--You write both the "Super" and the "Man" very well. It's as though someone mixed Timm with Donner and squeezed all the good within. Like Spidey, I can't wait to have a full-fledged World's Finest team-up with Supes. :D

BEST VILLIAN: Tie: Lex Luthor (Keyser Soze) & The Joker (The Question)
Soze, brother, you write a cunning, evil bastard frighteningly well, and Lex is no exception. You make a good foil not just for Superman, but for the entire universe of characters as well. I can't wait to see us lock horns at some point.
Q, my brotha' from another motha', our stuff together with Joker and Bats, though different in times and interpetations, are just as good as the DC RPG stuff with Soze as Joker, and that's saying something. Like Walken said: I have a FEVER, and the only prescription, is more Question's Joker, or something like that.

BEST DEVELOPED CHARACTER: Dinah Lance / Black Canary (Twylight)
Gotta give props to my baby's momma somewhere! ;) Seriously, your Dinah's very good, very real. In fact, the only problem I have is that she's settlin' for Tony's drunken ass, when she could come live with a real man. :o :batman: :p

BEST FIGHT: The Hulk vs. All-comers
Not only because I was in it (that's just icing on the cake ;)), but because it was a great fight, mixed with good action and good character interaction.

Hey guys, if you like this RPG than maybe you'll like the new one I concocted. After a lot request, even from people in this RPG, I finaly decided to go ahead and make.........The "Amalgam Universe" RPG! Check it out.

HERE!

I'm glad you decided to come back LibrarianThorne

OC the roster needs an update when you get a chance.

BEST STORYLINE – Ollie Queens party
It might feel odd picking an arc that was very dialog heavy. But the character interaction was perfect, wither it was Lex/Dinah, Tony/Reed ect they were just great to read.

BEST HERO- Superman ( Master Bruce)
For me it just is Superman. It’s very reminiscent of STAS, but it feels like MB have given him even greater depth.

BEST VILLAIN – Lex Luthor (Keyser Soze)
To me Luthors one of the best fictional villains ever and Keyser perfectly portrays him. They way he uses ever incident to his advantage his manipulation of Captain America is spot on on.

BEST DEVELOPED CHARACTER - Black Canary (Twylight)
A great rendition of a character close to twy’s heart. Her romance with Tony feels natural and human and I can’t wait to see it develop further

BEST FIGHT – The Hulk smackdown
The first fight to include the heroes (against a lone villain) and it didn’t disappoint. They all tried but no one could take down big green.

VERY glad to see you back LT, I've heard from Soze you're an excellent Rper

I'd hope you read my posts and judge for yourself. ;)

Seriously though, read some of the older posts in the RPG thread. A lot of people seem to have liked my Darkseid, and I know I had a blast RPing him. So go read those posts, or you can read my two Thor posts so far and judge those, though Thor's story is just beginning.

Hey quick question: How is my Cap? I know I haven't had a lot of character developement yet or anything, but is it ok so far? I don't usually ask how I am doing, I just want to make sure I am doing the character justice. If I am not, let me know, and I am open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance. :xmen:

I'm really liking your Captain America, Ice. I love the new direction you're taking with the character, having him fall under Lex Luthor's influence. It wil be interesting to see how you develop him!

BEST STORYLINE – The Party
Even though I had nothing to do with it was great to read all of the awesome character interactions

Best Hero-The Flash
I believe this has been a great take on the character and everyone of his post are great reads

BEST VILLAIN – Lex Luthor
I always enjoy a good Luthor and Keyser does a great job with... "What how dare you don't pick me the great and powerful Mysterio"

Well you haven't really done anything yet

"Fool...."

"He's right you really haven't done thing"

"Wait why are you here?"

"How the hell should I know he's the poster"

I wanted to write for you

"Well then why didn't you pick me up in Ultimate before JRK did"

Well I was waiting for USM 91 but then it was too late

"Anyway I'm out of here I'm going to Arbys...Up, Up, and Away" Deadpool jumps out a window and all you can hear is a crash and car alarm.

Moving on

BEST DEVELOPED CHARACTER-Tie Iron Man/Black Canary
I liked the great character intereactions between these and all were great reads as their relationship grows

BEST FIGHT- HULK SMASH
After a great fight it was then broken up by a great fight

I'm still undercided about how to write Magneto. The way I write Daredevil is a lot of fun with that character, but with Magneto, I feel it prevents me from pushing him to his full potential somehow.

Any thoughts?

Oh and Midnight, loving your Cap, keep it up

Yeah i like him, he seems a bit more forceful than 616 Cap and simular to ulitmate.

I'm about to get rid of my first 2 posts, LT has informed me Magneto has a history in this RPG so I'm starting over.
