"One Universe" Marvel & DC Crossover RPG!

The Two week limit is the rule...IF you don't mention any special circumstances which I did in the OC thread! People in this RPG, the Marvel and Ultimate RPG's have not posted for longer then me, WITHOUT mentioning anything, and people have been refused the opportunity to take their character. EVEN if their characters were wanted, they were PM'd and asked to start posting BEFORE their character is just tossed away! Never in the history of the RPG have I seen something this uncalled for.

Never in the history of the last two weeks have I seen something this crudely handled either.

Have you ever thought of just replying like a normal human being?

As it is you've sent everyone on the defensive and in turn shut them down altogether.

I, for one would have been on your side, however your behavior concerning this was uncalled for and could have been handled better.

Please, calm down and take a deep breath. Red X thought that LT contacted you. Normally I'd have said that the GM should have contacted the other party before approving. However, Red X has been the only recent GM precense here so cut him some slack.

Sorry, I just got flustered because I came here and BOOM there is an application with my character and I didn't know how to react. I pm'd RED X and hopefully we can work something out...but the remainder of this convo will take place over PM's. I did post a few times in the OC thread saying that I wouldn't be able to post as Doom for a while, but now finals are wrapping up and I can continue with him where I left off.

Good, keep that in Pm's and everything should be fine. Everyone just needs to relax. Remember that the majority of us are college students and have finals this month, so posting is sparatic at best, everyone just take a deep breath until Summer and I gauante things will heat up again.

On another note, did you get my PM ideas for Reed and Sentry Sparta*?

We are all relaxed, and I don't see how finals relate to anything, since his last post as Doom was in December.

Either way it's 'over PM's' which is this RPG's code word for "keep walking...nothing to look at."

Don't worry OC, you just stay relaxed and I'il continue running your RPG...

Yeah, I got them and they are pretty great  I will PM you back some ideas later tonight because I gotta go to work here pretty quick.

Hey, I help with the roster :p

Is it wrong for me to only post as Punisher when I feel like doing something incredibly violent?

...Yes. Yes it is.

But in a good way.

"One Universe" RPG SIGN-UP FORM

Screen Name:
Andy C.

Character you would like to play and a brief description of his/her powers and Bio: General Zod

(NOTE: Depending on what's been going on in the RPG, some parts of the bio may conflict with the in-game story. Feel free to point any conflicts out so I can correct it)

Many years ago, Dru-Zod was the driving force of Krypton's armed forces, a forceful and charismatic commander who led the Kryptonian military to victory time and time again over adversaries both alien and domestic. However, his tactical brilliance and domineering presence were matched only by his paranoia for the "inferior" alien races, and his contempt for the Kryptonian Council for negotiating peace with the aliens rather than allowing him to use force.

Zod preached his radical agenda to his soldiers, many of whom took to his message with an almost fanatical devotion. A rift began to form in the Kryptonian military between Zod's followers, and those who remained loyal to the Council. When Zod ordered that all of the alien citizens be forced to live in the ghetto city of Kandor, violence erupted, and Zod's faction saw the opportunity to stage a military coup and declare martial law.

However, the coup failed, and Dru-Zod was brought before the Council to stand trial. He was unanimously found guilty, though many of Zod's faction threatened civil war if their leader were executed. The solution presented by Jor-El was for Zod to be exiled to the Phantom Zone, an alternate dimension in which inmates could observe the regular world clearly and be affected by it, but could not directly affect the regular world in return. This way, Zod would still exist, but only in a corporeal form.

Jor-El's device that held Zod captive in the alternate dimension could only do so for a limited amount of time, however, so it was decided that the device be launched into deep space, disguised as a scientific probe to keep Zod's followers from going after it.

When Krypton was destroyed, the ship carrying Kal-El broadcasted a distress beacon containing the coordinates of the ship and its destination. The signal's waves traveled for years through empty space until being intercepted by the probe carrying the Phantom Zone portal. An unfortunate oversight on the Council's part was that a Kryptonian ship's computers would re-route it to respond to distress signals. The probe recalibrated its systems and set a course for the Sol system.

When Kal-El's ship landed on Earth, it stopped transmitting the distress signal. Therefore, when the probe carrying the portal entered the Solar system, it could not determine the planet where Kal-El's ship had landed. Instead, it set itself in an orbit around the sun, where solar radiation filtered through the Phantom Zone portal for years and years.

Zod has been growing more powerful in his prison...and the portal device cannot hold him much longer...

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1.
I've always thought that all the various incarnations of Zod were fairly interesting, particularly the Silver Age version which seemed to contain influences of Nazism rather than the generic evil-tyrant archetype.

2. Not a whole lot of supervillains would have such a deep-rooted vendetta against Superman (because of Jor-El), and Zod is one of the few that could go toe-to-toe with Big Blue in a fight.

3. A villain with so many different origins and backstories and alternate versions of himself can open up a lot of opportunities to flex my creative muscle.

What can you bring to this game?

I've had lots of experience with forum-based RPGs (though this is my first one involving superheroes), I have nearly impeccable spelling and grammar (so you'll never have to worry about my posts being hard to read), and can make for quite the creative story-teller.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG:

At least once or twice if it's a slow day. As many times as it takes if there's a battle going on.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards:

Approved  I look forward to reading your Zod.

I've thought this over all night and I am going to let LT have Doctor Doom. I don't really feel like this RPG is a place for me anymore so I am going to be dropping Reed Richards, Doctor Doom, my "mod" position, and quitting the RPG. Sorry Keyser, Midnight Ice, and Canuckle...I really was looking forward to working on the storylines we discussed now that I have time (Especially Keyser...what we had planned for Doom and Luthor was exceptional ) Anyway, I'll be posting in the Ultimate RPG because things are a lot more laid back around there, and I am going to try to get back into the Marvel RPG as Archangel. I had a great time posting as Reed Richards in the beginning of the RPG...I hadn't had that much fun RP'ing since Season II of the Marvel RPG, and thats saying something

So have fun everybody, and keep up the great storylines. I will keep on reading and maybe stop by here once in a while! Enjoy Doctor Doom LT, you are a talented writer and I know you will make some great stories with him.

Come on Sparta, quitings the easy answer. Whatever problems you have i'm sure they can be resolved.

I'm not doing this because it's the easy answer, i'm doing it because it feels right to me. I've had too many conflicts in this RPG...I feel like i've gotten detached from it, and i'm sure some people around here won't be sad to see me go. If things go well in the Ultimate and Marvel RPG, and I get back into the swing of regular RP'ing, i'll rejoin as Iceman or something

Thanks for working hard to resolve the Doctor Doom situation Red X  You are a really great mod. At least now you don't have to worry about it anymore because I don't think there would have been a happy ending to that situation :p

Ok, there is no x-men storyline going on here! why are none of you guys posting?

I have to admit it's getting tiresome and posting seems kinda pointless as no one is interacting :down :(

well I can't do much of anything until Scott can see, and Canuckle told me he hasent been on regularly because hes' waiting for his internet connection to be hooked up in his house.

Edit: Posted this before I read Sparta's posts while also feeling rather depressed. Ignore what was here before.

Also, thank you to Sparta for letting me have the good Doctor.

edited because I like things to make sense.......can't wait for some Doom!

I know you'll do a great job  If you are interested in doing some storylines with Reed and Doom down the road I might stick around for a while as Mister Fantastic :ff:

I hope you stick around as Reed. Gonna be hard to invite him into the new League otherwise ;)

Can someone give me an update of whats been going on lately in the RPG?

Sparta, I hope you don't drop out of the RPG. Even if you are letting LibrarianThorne take over as Dr Doom, I'd like to see you stay on as Mr Fantastic, as you have been a fantastic Reed Richards.

LibrarianThorne, if you are now Dr. Doom, I may be contacting you soon. Sparta and myself had worked out a big epic story arc with Doom and Luthor, and if you're interested, perhaps we could still do it.

There's still the cases of Cap having his ass kicked around by Bullseye to see to though :p

And an escaping Deadpool...

Oh yes, I know that. But this is Lex Luthor we're talking about. He's all about long-term planning...

Well, you are a Flames fan...so of course I won't be sad to see you go. Good riddance I say. :p

Seriously though, hope you return to us after taking a break from the OU.
