"One Universe" RPG SEASON III SIGN-UP FORM

Screen Name: Master Bruce

Character you would like to play: Bullseye

Powers: Aside from a high intellect and a slew of brutal martial arts, Bullseye's only true superhuman ability seems to be that of a keen, penpoint accuracy, able to turn any everyday object into a deadly weapon on a simple whim.

Brief biography of the character's history: Bullseye's identity and past are about as conflicting as the number of his high bodycount. If asked, the assassin would tell one person one story, while telling a completely different one to another. In part, that anonymity has aided his profession in spades, as many of the 'Most Wanted' lists he tops may never see the day that he is found or captured by authorities.

However, the most common backstory is that the boy who would become Bullseye came from an abusive childhood home. He, along with his brother, would often be the target of physical and verbal assault from their father, who's shame and frustration over the end of his marraige would turn him bitter towards his two sons. Years of contemplating his dad's murder would fuel the boy to become a master strategist, an expert shot, and the psychopathic killer that he is today.

Only one thing about him is certain: When you're in his sights, he never misses.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: After two seasons of playing The Joker in UDCU, I've developed a strong liking of playing more villainous, and maybe even psychotic roles. Bullseye fits that bill to a tee, even rivaling that aforementioned character in his love for murder. I also get to play an assassin-for-hire, which is something I've wanted to really commit to for awhile, as it provides the perfect plot device for interaction with virtually anyone who wants to.

What can you bring to this game?: *****, please. Whatever the game brings to me, I bring to the game. You hear? Word. :cmad:

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Navy, unbolded Verdana.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: Depends on how fast the game moves, to be perfectly honest.

Please provide a sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 5 paragraphs long and contain at least 3 line of dialogue):

It could only go up from here, right?

Weeks after losing the trail cold of his target - that annoying Spider-brat in Queens, the man simply known as Bullseye had given his employers for that specific job a short term notice that he was moving on. Naturally, their initial reaction had been to hire a hitman to kill him off in order to keep their status discreet... but after sending them their own man's dismembered head in a nicely wrapped UPS package, those employers calmly backed off. Bullseye chuckled to himself, at the thought, as his current mission began to unravel right infront of him. He was in London, right now, perched atop a flat's roof. His current partner, a fellow assassin from the states called 'Merlyn', looked back at him in a combination of curiosity and annoyance.

"Would you kindly be quiet?", The archer hissed, lining up his bow. "We're never going to make the shot if you keep carrying on like some child."

Bullseye smirked to himself, placing an Ace card over his 2 of clubs, effectively completing his fifth solitaire.

"Aw, lighten up, Robin Hood.", He shot back. "At the rate he's been goin', th' caffler won't be makin' a piss before dawn. We got plenty a' time."

Merlyn stared, blankly. "A... caffler? What in heaven's name does that mean?"

Bullseye sneered. Sometimes, being more Irish than American seemed like a source of annoyance more than pride.

"Just keep a' ****in' watch."

Merlyn sighed to himself, before turning around once more. Frankly, he was annoyed with the guy he was assigned with. When originally offered this bounty, Merlyn had been told that he would be partnered with the best. And the best is what he would need, considering it was London's Prime Minister that they were gunning for. Security would be ridiculously tight, but up until now, Merlyn hadn't been worried, with all of the good word put in about his partner.

But Bullseye, he was something else. Didn't wear a gun holster. Didn't bring any visible knives. The sharpest, deadliest thing Merlyn had seen him carry was a wooden toothpick, and he had tossed that into the river on the ride up. And this guy was supposed to be the best? The sheer thought annoyed Merlyn, as he cocked his bow, waiting for even the smallest sign of their target. But as he focused, Merlyn's eyes suddenly widened.

"Well, well. Speak of the devil...", He smiled to himself, gripping his finger to his bowstring. "It seems as if you were wrong. There's our man now. Let's just do this and get out of-"

Merlyn stopped, as he suddenly realized something. The Prime Minister was being led out by close to six tall guards, all of which were blocking the way. And cliched enough, it was one of those damned hats one would always see them wearing that was making it hard for him to aim. Merlyn moved his bow around, slowly, trying to place a shot in... but nothing sufficed. They were too far away. And unsurprisngly enough, it was Bullseye that had picked the spot.

"Damn it!", Merlyn shouted, lifting his bow and sliding the arrow back into his quiver, before turning on his smiling partner. "You imbeciled moron! His car is half a block away and I can't even get a clean shot in before he 'rounds the corner!"

Bullseye calmly placed his cards down, before standing up, stretching, and cracking his neck. "Settle it. We'll belt 'im long before that. Ya got a pen?"

"To hell with you!", Merlyn argued. "All of this talk about you being some sort of professional, and for what?! So you can sit around and act like we still have a chance? The man's almost completely out of range!"

"Do. You. Got. A. Pen?", Bullseye anxiously continued, holding out his hand in an almost mocking manner.

Throwing his hands into the air in anger, Merlyn furiously dug into his pocket, and threw a ballpoint pen onto the ground, making it land right next to Bullseye's foot. Why he needed the damn thing, he didn't know. Infact, the request seemed to be quite odd, given the circumstances. But the archer didn't care. All Merlyn was sure of was that he was beginning to piss him off. Stepping on the pen's tip, launching it into the air, Bullseye caught it and tipped his head, obliged. Holding the instrument up for a second, examining it, the assassin made his way to the edge of the roof, as Merlyn took a step back, curiously. As far as the bowman was concerned, it was all over. The target was out of range, soon to be out of complete sight in general. It wasn't as if they were going to get some lucky break in the next few seconds.

And then, Bullseye pulled out a rubber band. Merlyn would've laughed at the absurdity if he wasn't already angered beyond all comprehension at the man. But even so, he quietly observed as his partner placed two fingers into the rubber band, pulled the middle of it backwards, and lined the pen within it, creating a makeshift slingshot. Merlyn didn't even have time to blink before Bullseye launched it, and let fly. Staring in awe, the archer kept his eye trained to the instrument as it rocketed across the way, shooting in a downwards slant. And then...

Nothing.

Merlyn gritted his teeth together, turning towards Bullseye with a burning hatred fuming just beneath the surface. Bullseye looked back, with a proud look on his face. Whether it was because he had annoyed Merlyn, or it was some sort of private joke, he didn't know. But it was just adding to a long list of peculiar things the assassin had done in the past few hours that had toyed with Merlyn's very last nerve.

"Well, good for you. You successfully tossed my only pen into the streets. I'm sure you must be very proud of yourself,", Merlyn ranted, grabbing his gear and preparing to leave. "I swear, if I'm blamed for this, I'm going to take you down so hard that-"

"Ya might wanna take another look there, 'Hood.", Bullseye simply stated, with a wider grin plastered across his face.

Merlyn paused, but complied, putting down his bag and pulling the binoculars from the first unzipped pocket. Coming to the edge with him, Merlyn peered in, expected to see nothing more than a shattered pen lying on the pavement.

Instead, what he saw almost horrified him. The guards were scattered, fratically coming to the Prime Minister's aide, as blood was gushing out of his neck at an alarming rate. The Prime Minister struggled, gurgling out more of the crimson liquid, before he finally dropped to the ground, still and silent. Many of the guards looked alarm, as they checked his pulse. How?, Merlyn thought to himself, as he zoomed in for a closer look. And there, right in the deep gash of a wound in the dead man's throat, stood the bottom edge of the pen, protruding outwards in plain sight.

Merlyn lowered the binoculars, jaw dropped. He looked to Bullseye, utterly speechless, as the assassin laughed, and pointed to the indentment on his mask's forehead with glee. He had only one word to counter Merlyn's utterly priceless expression.

I haven't even spoken with them.

.......It was Johnny, and he gave me twin goats. I've always wanted twins. :csad:

Must...resist urge...to...pick up...Deadshot...

Man, I'm not even kidding. Imagine, the two most deadly and skilled marksmen of all time together...
....
:ninja::twisted:

We'd be like Bonnie and Clyde. Laverne and Shirley. Beavis and Butthead. Batman and Robin!

...

Or, we could just kill wieg and GL for that last part.

In all honesty, though, it'd be awesome. This RPG is lacking a heavy amount of villains, and in a world with twice the possibilities as the DC or Marvel RPG's, that's pretty sad. That was my biggest motivator to pick up Bullseye, by far. If I hadn't picked him, it would've been another baddie.

MB. Daredevil has fought The Joker, Deadshot, and, now, Scarecrow.

Is there any chance, whatsoever, at all, possibly, that I might, perhaps, get a chance to develop his character?

Daredevil's?

I had no intention of going after him for awhile, truthfully. Maybe not even for this season at all. There are just too many DC characters I'd want Bullseye to face.

Ugh! I'm so sorry guys, everything just hit me this week.

School started on Tuesday, the company decided to cut off our internet permanently for no good reason on Wednesday, didn't send anyone out with the equipment and told us to set it up ourselves, and we only just managed to get it done. I've also been having these weird heart palpatations which are probably just nothing, but have been slowing me down a lot.

However, I'm in all of tomorrow so I can finally relax and POST!

Apologies once again!

It's cool. Life takes priority, after all.

And you're approved as Bullseye, MB.

Sweet. Won't be able to post until Sunday night at the earliest, though.

Screen Name: Shlee

Character you would like to play: Elektra Natchios

Powers: None; she is highly trained in all forms of martial arts and weaponry.

Brief biography of the character's history: Elektra Natchios was born to Hugo and Christina Natchios on an island in Greece. She has an older brother named Orestez, but as Elektra's father was gaining status as an ambassador for Greece, her mother was having affairs. Hugo was sure Elektra was not his, but a paternity test later proved she was.

Orestez, on information from his father, decided to have his mother murdered, but almost killed Hugo at the same time. Elektra was born premature in the hospital and Christina died. But Orestez ran away from home, horrified at the unintentional almost-patricide.

Hugo hired senseis to teach Elektra skills in martial arts, and when she was a teenager she was sent to train under stick, where she met Matt Murdock and Bruce Wayne.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: I think she's interesting, she's a Marvel character, so I get to submerge myself in that side of the comic book line, and I think she'll be interesting to play.

What can you bring to this game?: Good writing and a va- feminine touch.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Georgia, size 2, dark red/Georgia bold, size 2, dark red.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as necessary.

Please provide a sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 5 paragraphs long and contain at least 3 line of dialogue):

Home. It always smelled like grape leaves and olive oil, and a faint smell of junipers as well. I smiled as I walked through the door, dropping my duffel bag on the floor and closing my eyes.

"Hello?" his rich voice called from the other room. Dad. I let the word settle on my heart, a smile crossing my features. It was always so comforting to hear him.

"Hello, Daddy," I called softly, knowing he'd hear me. And like clockwork, her peered out from the kitchen, drying a bowl with a towel. He hadn't changed at all; and yet I knew I had changed so much. I hoped he'd recognize me.

"Elektra," he breathed, hastily setting down the bowl and rushing to pick me up in his arms. He twirled me around and I hugged back tightly, taking in all the comforting smells. He pushed me back finally, hands gripping a little too tightly to my shoulders. "Oh honey, I'm so glad to see you. Are you hungry? You look tired..." His eyes searched mine, and I tried so hard to hide the hurt and the worry in my expression, but I knew he'd see it; he knew me too well.

"Come come, let's get you something to eat, and I'll have Demetria set up your room with fresh linens and things. Come along."

I knew I could count on him; it felt so good to be home.
