Screen Name: Optikal

Character you would like to play: The Green Lantern - Kyle Rayner

Powers: As a Green Lantern, Kyle is semi-invulnerable, capable of projecting hard light constructions, flight, and utilizing various other abilities through his power ring which are only limited by his imagination and willpower.

Brief biography of the character's history: Kyle Rayner was a struggling-but-gifted freelance graphic artist. He lived and worked in Los Angeles initially, but recently moved to New York City. After the destruction of the Green Lanterns homeworld, OA, at the hands of the mighty Galactus, Kyle is one of the last few remaining Lanterns in the universe.

Far way, Ganthet, one of the last Guardians of the Universe has finished rebuilding the power battery... the beating heart of the Green Lantern Corps. Kyle himself, has found himself working alongside many other superheroes as part of the Avengers Initiative, recently finding themselves victorious over the being known as The Void.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character:

Kyle floated down to the surface of Attilan and landed alongside the last remaining Guardian. Ganthet didn't glance at him, but merely nodded to indicate his greeting.

"So, what's the score, Ganthet?" Kyle asked, looking down at the little blue man.

Ganthet smiled then, his ancient face wrinkling as he did do. "There is a chance to restore our world. It is a slim chance, but a chance nonetheless".

Kyle was taken aback, not sure what to think. The central power battery had been restored somewhat, but there were no other Guardians, no Corps, no OA. He turned back to the Guardian. "If we can restore OA, we can bring back the Corps! What do we need to do?"

Ganthet floated up into the air and turned, meeting Kyle at eye level. "I want to tell you about an entity that is known as ION..."

Character you would like to play: Hank Pym aka Giant Man

Powers: Pym has used his genius level intellect to use, discovering and developing a phenomenon he called Pym Particles. These particles are what allow him to grow and shrink in size, on will. The larger he grows the more strain it puts on his movements, but also boosts his strength, ie the bigger he is the stronger he gets. As of now, the maximum height he is able to reach is around 75 feet.

Brief biography of the character's history:

Hank Pym had always been called a genius, but it wasn't until he discovered Pym Particles that he caught the attention of SHIELD. Then-Director of the secret agency, Nick Fury, saw the military potential of the man´s invention and recruited Pym. Under Fury Pym was given free reign to develop Pym Particles.

Sometime during his ongoing tenure at SHIELD Pym was given a high-profile, high-investment project that failed miserably. Since then he had been barely scraping by at SHIELD, getting less and less work. Until Amanda Waller took over,however. Pym made a deal; He would develop Pym Particles further, going so far as using them himself and calling himself Giant Man, be put on Waller´s high profile team of superheroes, the Avengers, and answer directly to her. For this, he wanted full control over the Vision project; an android built from the blueprints of a WW2-era android and put on the Avengers team as well. Waller agreed, albeit with great hesitation. Pym is now on thin ice with SHIELD, and sees the Vision as a means to redeem himself for his past failures.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: I think the leader of the Avengers should be PCed, as well as actually developed instead of just being a placeholder. So that, along with me wanting to explore the toll Pym´s responsibilities will take on him, leads to this app.

What can you bring to this game?: Dedicated player, frequent posting, and penis enlargement.

"And the Vision?" Waller asked, eyeing the android. The Vision stood a few feet behind Pym, unmoving and imposing.

"A few minor bugs that need to be sorted out. Nothing too bad." Hank assured Waller, taking a look back to make sure the Vision was not currently active and listening. He was wrong.

"Good. You're lucky you even got the Vision project after the mess you made with your first little toy-man. Make sure that does not happen again." Waller made no attempt to hide the fact that she was threatening Pym.

With a silent nod, Pym strode past Amanda and followed Janet. "Just make sure your men don't scratch him."

Giant Man would make my fourth character, which isn't allowed of course. I forgot to mention that I'm dropping the Flash. For now at least. If anyone wants to apply for him, please do so, as I think it's a shame if Wally would go unplayed.

Powers: Wally has the power of superspeed and can vibrate his molecules through objects.

Brief biography of the character's history: As a child, Wally West was the Fastest Kid Alive, standing alongside his Uncle Barry as the Kid Flash. For many years the two worked together as a skillful team. But soon enough the two argued and Wally gave up being a hero. However, when his Uncle perished saving millions of people, only one man could take up the mantle. Wally.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: I'm a Flash Addict, and Wally is my favourite, as he's the one I've grown up with. He's fun, quick-witted and he just felt right compared to the others.

What can you bring to this game?: A large knowledge of the Flash, somebody who posts as much as he can and somebody who loves RPGs.

I'm a blur. Citizens stop and stare as their hero passes by for a split second before he's gone, to protect their City. His City. I am that Hero. Before I was never ready but now...it feels right. I feel like now, I really am The Flash.

A 30 seconds ago a bullet was fired in the local bank. 15 seconds later I hear the screaming people and I finally get somebody to explain to me what's going on. Now I'm sprinting off to the bank hoping that nobody's died in the time it's taken for me to learn of the shot. I haven't been this slow in months.

I skid to a halt outside the bank before gathering my surroundings. No wounded. No dead. Must have been a warning shot. Police perimter with news reporters on the otherside. In front of my are the familiar rotating doors. Behind them I can make out the figures of large men. This'll be too easy.

I pelt through one of the rotating doors, making it spin for minutes afterwards as I stand at the front of the room, by the glassed off cashiers.

"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, I'm The Flash and I'll be your host for this evening!"

"I told you guys..." one of them mutters.

"Shut up!" another says angrily. He seems to be the leader by the way the others look at him.

The bank robbers swing around, pistols at the ready. Six of them. No doubt more somewhere else in the bank. I wave towards the criminals friendily. They fire rapidly towards me, sending bullets hurtling towards me. They try so hard, you start to feel sorry for them. I grab each bullet quickly and before you know it I've got a pile of bullets in my hand.

"So, bullets don't work against the guy with superspeed. Shocker, huh? Let's get this over with..."
