Okay, just making sure. I didn't want to reply or not reply to RR unless I knew what was going on.

And me as Jay Garrick.

Where's that roster ***** at? :cmad:

With the amount of roster changes this RPG has a habit of having? I think you're better off with the listed, typed roster. The picture roster isn't hard, but the reason I didn't update this RPG as often was because frankly it was annoying how many people drop and pick up a new character in such a short amount of time. It doesn't take long to edit the picture roster, unless you have 304374987979 edits to make. And this RPG had 304374987978 edits. That's almost there!

The percentage difference between those two numbers is so small, you might as well do it. :word:

Let me know if you want me to edit, EB. I figured it would go along with some of our plans to get some people together.

No problem. I'll just shoot you a quick PM to let you know what's going on here.

I agree with trusty. A plain list roster is easier to maintain and update, and means us GMs can actually do the job ourselves. It's unfair expecting roster updates to be the sole responsibility of trusty when he isn't a GM here, or even an active player in the game at the moment.

"We wear masks for a reason, you know?!"

How funny since Batman called him "Parker" :p

Lazy Mexican! :cmad:

Screen Name: Johnny Blaze

Character you would like to play: Scott Summers, aka Cyclops

Powers: Mutant with the ability to loose powerful blasts of energy from his eyes. Due to a head injury suffered while young, Scott is unable to control this power and has to rely on glasses and a visor made out of ruby-quartz to contain it. With the visor, Scott is able to focus his beam from fine degrees (welding, pin-point bursts, etc) to the extreme (mountain-leveling blasts).

Brief biography of the character's history: Scott grew up in a harsh orphanage in Omaha until he was found and rescued by Charles Xavier and became one of the the Professor's first students at his new academy at Westchester. Scott did not seem to fit in at first, often doubting himself when it came to his training. But Cyclops quickly proved his worth to Xavier's Dream during the Mutant Uprising, and was promoted to field leader of the X-Men after the dust settled from the war.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: Cyclops is one of my favorite X-Men. He's a major player in the mutant world, so I figured he'd be a good one to go with. I'm very familiar with the character and believe I can do him justice.

What can you bring to this game?: Experience in role-playing, both tabletop and in the RPGs here.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Blue, Bold, Tahoma

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as need be, life permiting.

Please provide a small sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 5 paragraphs long and contain at least 3 line of dialogue):

His boot heels made the faintest of sounds as he walked down the cold corridor. He was inside the underbelly of the mansion, where the real fight for peace took place. It was these winding corridors, and the many rooms filled with amazing technology, that Scott and the X-Men had come to know like the back of their hand.

Well, at least what was left of the X-Men. The war had taken it's toll. Tensions were on the rise, and some friends have even left the team. The Dream was still alive, but it had definitely taken a hit. Which was why Scott made his way down to the hanger bay.
As the door gently slid open, Scott couldn't help but smile as he saw her.

"Took you long enough", Jean teased as Cyclops entered the room.
Jean Grey, mutant telepath and telekinetic extraordinaire, stood confidently at the ramp of the Blackbird.

"Sorry", Scott stammered, "I was going over the plans again, and-"

"Relax, Scott", Jean chided, "I'm only messing with you."

"Now", she spoke with a more serious tone as she gracefully walked towards him. Reaching out, she straightened his suit's collar, "You ready to go?"

"Let's do this", Scott nodded as he exhaled deeply, as though releasing all negativity from his being.

The jet's engines slowly came to life, and, within seconds, the Blackbird was patiently awaiting takeoff.
Cyclops looked to Jean, who merely smiled.

"One of the perks of being a telekinetic", she said with a shrug.

"After you", Scott said as he motioned for Jean to enter first. As Jean went up the ramp, Scott followed close behind, the ramp sliding shut as he entered the ship.

I predict X-Men epicness to ensue.

Right on. Cats and Carnage, if you're ever on MSN, get in touch with me so we can do some planning.

Screen Name: Ol'Canucklehead

Character you would like to play: Wolverine

Powers: Regenerative healing factor, adimantium laced skeleton and 6 razor sharp claws, animal keen senses, peak human athletic ability, extensive martial arts and espionage training, and a near unstoppable feral rage.

Brief biography of the character's history: Wolverine served as the original leader of the team known as the X-Men. He was one of the first mutants discovered by Charles Xavier and he trained this new team to be ready for all that they would have to encounter in this world once the existence of mutants was made public. After a short stint helping the hero Known as Batman take down the criminal underworld, Wolverine has gone on his own to recover some of his long forgotten past.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: First and foremost, no matter how hard I try.....I AM a Wolverine ****e. There, I said it. He is and always will be my favorite of all comic characters because he is the one that I can relate to the most and playing as him just feels to damn natural.

What can you bring to this game?: A whole list of epic storylines filled to the brim with baddies that all want a piece of the Ol'Canucklehead!......an hash brownies if anyone is interested.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Bold Orange Verdana

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: Multiple, as many as need or as flows with others interaction.

Thirteen hours......that's how long I've been trekin along this godforsaken stretch of road. Thirteen hours and I aint stopped but once to fill up my tank, where in the hell am I goin anyway? I know what I told myself, I told myself that I was goin to find the answers, that I was gonna get to the route of it all, figure out why my life aint nothin but pieces, but is that what I'm really doin or am I just runnin away again?

I pull the bike over to the side of the road and just stop wishin for silence. I try to clear my head, but I can hear every movin thing around me. The deer wanderin scared in the woods next to me, the cars five miles down the road, its like I'll never know silence. I can smell everything too, the burnin brush a few miles west, the pies cookin down the street in the diner, and......perfume? My head snaps to the right and I can hear runnin, panickin. Someone's outa breath, pantin hard, its a girl, fairly young.....and shes beein chased.

"HELP! SOMEBODY HELP ME!"

Her cries echo through my ears, I'm willin to bet we're far enough out that not to many people would have heard it, but I did and I got a job to do. I take off runin into the woods, I can hear her pantin for air, screamin for help and then finally......

*BANG!*

She falls to the ground with a hard thud, and as I can finally see her I drop down quietly into the brush. Shes been shot, I can't tell where but I can smell the blood. Two men come out from behind her, sick smiles twisted upon their lips.

"Well DAMN girl! Your little dark ass sure gave us a run huh?"

"Well she ain't gona be runnin no more Clyde, that bullet went right through her leg."

Thank god, she aint dead.

"Please....please don't hurt me....I'll....I'll d-do what-whatever you want....just don't kill me."

The two of them look at each other, proud of what they have done, and smile to one another.

"Well we already knew that, you and your kind are just nothin but sex crazed monkeys!"

"Ain't nothin but a bunch o' perverted animals!"

"Looks like were just gonna have to punish you for that!"

Hillbilly, racist, rapists! Do I need any more reason to cut these guys into tiny pieces? No....I don't think so.

"Please....please god."

"God ain't with you b****, he's with us! He don't help your kind!"

"NOW COME HERE! We got somethin for ya!"

That's it, unzip, be a stereotypical rapist and put your pants around yer knees so you won't be able to have free range of movement. That's it...

I move like a shadow, comin from behind I catch the other creep while he's laughing. I do it so fast aint no one could of seen me.

"Hahahahaha....haagahgahgahlllllllchchc....chlhchlh........"

"Damn it Billy! What the hell are you chokin on?"

He turns around to see his friend clinchin his neck, tryin to stop the blood from pourin out his throat.

"DEAR GOD!"

"God ain't with you bub! He don't help your kind!"

"HOLY ****!"

He trips and falls, his pants catching him behind the knees.

"WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU!"

"Me?.....Well seein as how I'm holdin yer ticket to hell, you can consider me the Devil!"

He screams, but I don't care, I dive into his stomach rippin and tearin watchin his vitals fly out all around him. My rage takes hold and I don't stop tearin until my claws are digin at the dirt underneath him. Finaly I stop, fall back onto my knees, catch my breath and stand up. The girl is still on the ground, shocked and confused, she looks up at me and says....

"I wana go home now.....Please....will you take me home now."

I don't quite know what to say, but somehow I muster,

"I think we better get you to the hospital darlin."

"Oh....Okay.", She says with a cold blank expression.

I extend my hand and help her to her feet. She looks at me and says,

"Thanks.....Thank you mist...."

*BANG!"

Her eyes and mine jut open at the same moment, the state of shock is written clearly on both of our faces, but finally as fate would have it, her eyes started to close as she fell to the ground........lifeless. I turn behind me to see the sickening smile outstretched upon the face of the first hillbilly I cut from ear to ear, apparently he held back enough blood to use the six shooter in his pant leg one more time. His smile fades and he falls back down dropping the revolver from his hand.

There I stand, covered in blood again, standing alone in the woods again......without any answers, all for no reason.....again.
