Well, since RM's app has yet to be approved, I've got to throw my name into the hat as well. Since the Hulk's origin hasn't been explored minus a few mentions in Red X's posts, least far as I know, I took the liberty and fleshed it out a bit...

Character you would like to play: Bruce Banner/The Hulk

Powers:
Bruce Banner: None

The Hulk: Immense super-human strength fueled by rage (the madder Hulk get, the stronger Hulk get) with no known limit. His great strength also allows Hulk to leap miles in distance; Super-human Durability: The Hulk is extremely durable able to be impervious to some attack such as bullets, to surviving even a nuclear blast; Regeneration: The Hulk can regenerate from injury in mere seconds, to the point of almost instantly when enraged; Super-Human Reflexes: Has speed and agility enough to match the likes of Thor, and increases as his rage mounts; Astral Sight: Hulk has the ability to see and interact with astral forms; Psychic Resistance: The Hulk's pure emotional fury cannot be held at bay for long. He has shown numerous times to be able to fight off any kind of mind control and even repel psychic attacks outright

Brief biography of the character's history: Bruce Banner grew up with a fascination for science and technology, and it did not take long for him to become one of the leading minds on the planet, as well as the foremost expert on gamma radiation. To this end, Bruce Banner and a small team of scientist, including the love of his life, Betty Ross, set out to find a way to harness gamma radiation to cure cancer and other diseases.
But, the reality was nothing of the sort. The project was secretly funded by the government to use the potent gamma radiation as a weapon.

Growing impatient from the results and the pressure from investors, Banner pushed his experiment into human testing too soon. Using himself as the guinea pig, Banner's experiment went horribly wrong. The gamma radiation that coursed through Bruce created a monster (or rather did it unleash a sleeping beast?). A sheer Hulking monstrosity of rage.
The creature destroyed the lab and fled the scene.

The government kept a close eye on their investment, and, when the incident was reported, they quickly moved to capture Banner so that they could use the creature as a weapon. General Wade Eiling leads a force of highly trained and well-fitted soldiers on the hunt for the Doctor.

Meanwhile, Bruce awakens in Star City and crashes millionaire Oliver Queen's party to seek the aid of Tony Stark. As fate would have it, Bruce transforms into the Hulk and the beast goes on a rampage. Several heroes at the party, including Green Arrow, Iron Man, and Black Canary, band together to defeat the monster. But, not before the Hulk laid waste to much of the area as well as accidentally kill the parents of Dick Grayson.

Banner disappeared, guilt-stricken of what he had done and did his best to be left alone. But the military would not give him peace, as Eiling would not rest until Banner and the Hulk belonged to him.

The Hulk resurfaced a few times since the Star City incident, including to help defend the planet against the likes of Galactus and Doctor Doom. But Bruce has managed to do an excellent job of hiding from society, becoming an expert at living on the run.
Now Bruce Banner resides in the jungles of Brazil, working with a lone scientist, a Dr. Emil Blonsky, on working on a cure...

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: The fact that the Hulk has been a bit player in this RPG since the Star City Incident is sickening. I've always had a soft spot for Hulk, and figure here's my best shot at giving it a go with him.

What can you bring to this game?: My lovable self, and many years of RPing experience.

"Are you sure this will work", Bruce asked as he sat in the cold metal chair, beads of sweat gathering on his head. He hadn't slept in the past thirty-six hours, and he had barely eaten a thing. He and Blonsky had worked straight on through as the prepared the final touches for their machine.
A machine that would finally free him from the Hulk.

Or so he hoped.

"Relax, Banner", Emil chuckled.
"We've been over this a thousand times already. Each and every variable is accounted for. Every number was checked and re-checked several times."

With a cotton swab, Emil Blonsky gently wiped the arm of Bruce. Banner remained still as his colleague carefully stuck the syringe into his arm and extracted a blood sample.
Banner could feel his heart rate speeding up, ever-so-slightly. Closing his eyes, he focused on his breathing.
Deep breaths.

Rhythmic breaths.

Calming breaths.

"You okay", Blonsky asked as he cocked an eyebrow.

"Yeah", Bruce said as he opened his eyes.
"I'm fine."

"Well, let's see what we get when we mix it, eh", smiled Blonsky excitedly as he held up the blood sample like a trophy.
Rising from the chair, Bruce moved to stand next to Emil as the doctor sat at the lab station.
"All right, blood sample of Bruce Banner now being mixed with sample of toxin."

"Fingers crossed", said Blonsky as he stuck the sample under the microscope. Banner just closed his eyes and sighed, hoping against hope...

Character you would like to play: Kl'rt, the Super-Skrull

Powers: The Super-Skrull has all the abilities of the original Fantastic Four, Mr. Fantastic's elasticity, Invisible Woman's invisibility and force fields, Human Torch's flight and pyrokinetics and the Thing's strength and rocky hide. All of these abilities are amplified. Kl’rt also retains his Skrull shape-shifting abilities and also has naturally strong hypnotic skills and a healing factor.

Brief biography of the character's history: Kl'rt is a Skrull who, through advanced Skrull technology, was imbued with the powers and abilities of the Fantastic Four from Earth. Recently he went on a rampage on the homeworld of the Kree, a race with which the Skrulls have a long history of conflict with, but suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Green Lantern Kyle Rayner.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: I have an arc planned with some people, and I've always wanted to do some cosmic stuff in one of these games.

What can you bring to this game?: A frequent poster, dedicated player, and Skrullian pie.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Arial Black, Dark Green.

The behemoth slammed it´s fist down; the pavement exploded as it´s rocky hand slammed down into concrete. From his other hand a torrent of fire bathed nearby cars in flames.

"Where is he?!?" Kl'rt snarled, screaming at the people that fled terrified from him. "Where is your Green Lantern?!" he roared.

His defeat at the hands of the obnoxious sewer rat, Rayner, had been humiliating. A Skrullian God brought to his knees by a mere child with a toy ring. But now he was back. And he was stronger. Kl'rt, the Super-Skrull, had laid waste to the Kree scum that had imprisoned him and he was now fully intending to fulfill his promise to the Lantern.

"Face me, scum! You will suffer a fate worse than death a thousand times over, Earth-Rat! And then, your world will be crushed under my heel!"

Character you would like to play: Norrin Radd, the Silver Surfer

Powers: Norrin wields the Power Cosmic, a force of cosmic nature that pretty much allows hims a wide array of abilities from near indestructibility, super-human strength comparable to the likes of Superman and the Hulk, can travel at light speeds, manipulate all forms of energy and matter on a large scale, fire cosmic blasts, uses a cosmic surf board to travel the spaceways and it can be controlled mentally by Norrin, etc.


Brief biography of the character's history: Norrin Radd was once a normal humanoid being from the planet of Zenn-La until the day Galactus came. To save his planet from being destroyed, Norrin gave himself to the World Devourer and became his Herald, who's sole purpose is to scout a head and find suitable worlds for his master to consume.

Norrin, normally pacifistic in nature, performed his task admirably with no small part to to mental tampering by Galactus. Despite this tampering his service to the Planet Eater ended on the ravaged planet of Oa. Unable to stop the destruction of the planet that was home to the Guardians and their Green Lantern Corps, the Surfer renounced his master.

After rescuing the Green Lantern Hal Jordan and returning him to Earth, Norrin Radd set out towards the stars to formally resign from Galactus' service. After a confrontation with the Devourer, Norrin was freed from his servitude as Herald. Setting out amongst the stars to atone for his part in the death of billions, the Surfer saved a group of refugee slaves and discovered about the planetoid, Warworld. Along with the help of the Kree hero, Captain Mar-Vell, Norrin Radd freed the populace from the despot, Mongul.
But Norron could not rest as the Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, arrived and asked for help in facing a dire crisis: The Coming of Galactus.

Hal's homeworld of Earth was threatened by The Devourer and his new herald, Lobo, but the Earth's heroes along with Norrin Radd turned the tide and drove off Galactus. After goodbyes, Norrin returned to space but soon ran into the annoyance known as the Impossible Man. After a brief but violent encounter, Norrin was able to rid himself of the Poppupian. But trouble once again found the wayward Surfer. Trouble in the form of the infernal creatures Mephisto and Neron. The demons both tried there best to get the Surfer's soul, but both failed. In the end, it was Norrin who made out for the best in the encounter as he was finally reunited with his lost love, Shalla Bal.

Now Norrin Radd and Shalla Bal returned to Zenn-La only to find it in ruins. Among the carnage, Norrin sensed something familiar: the cosmic essence of Galactus. Enraged by his former Master's petty cruelty, the Surfer departs to hunt Galactus down and make him fix what he has done. But, not before leaving a portion of his power with his beloved, Shalla-Bal. Shalla-Bal remained on Zenn-La, using her gift of the Power Cosmic to help their world as best she can.

Norrin's first leg of the journey took him to the planet, Rann. Arriving to see a massive Kree armada orbiting the world, Surfer decided to aid the Rannians in their struggle, and, in doing so, met the Rannian hero, Adam Strange. Fighting together, Adam Strange and Norrin were able to defeat the Kree's leader, Ronin the Accuser, and force the Kree forces to leave the planet and depart the system.

Norrin exchanged his goodbyes with Adam Strange and his family and returned to the stars, continuing his Odyssey across the cosmos...

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: He's easily one of my favorite heroes in all of comics. His pacifistic nature coupled with his raw power is a fun balance to play.
What can you bring to this game?: Experience in RPing and excellent character to help flesh out the OU's cosmic side.

"It is over", spoke the Surfer through gritted teeth as he clamped his vice-like grip around Ronan's wrists. cosmic energy surging around the pair as they struggled against the might of the other.

"YIELD!"

"Never!"

And then in a blast that could be seen all across Rann's northern hemisphere, the mighty ship exploded. Any craft that was within range of the blast died with the flag ship.

Minutes passed in the silent blackness of space as the dust from the explosion began to disperse.
And then, like a beam of radiance shining through the dark clouds, floated the Silver Surfer, Universal Weapon in his hand.
And, resting across his board, was the unconscious form of Ronan.

The people of Rann breathed a collective sigh of relief as the final Kree warship departed the sector.
It had been an hour since the Silver Surfer returned with his prisoner, Ronan. And when Norrin arrived at the base, Sardath quickly contacted the Kree and bargained with the life of the infamous Accuser hanging in the balance.
After terse discussions, Sardath agreed to release Ronan to his Kree compatriots in return for the Kree leaving Rann.

Thus, Ronan was returned to his people as they departed, a humiliated and angry man.

"Do not doubt", he told the Surfer over the comm channel before the final ship left orbit, "that we will meet again, Silver Surfer. And, on that day, I will crush the life from body with my bear hands."

Threats aside, this was a time of joy. And the people of Rann celebrated long into the night, their victory.
And though Norrin was happy to see their joy, he could not join them. It was time for him to return to space in search of his former master, and demand justice for what Galactus did to Zenn-La.

"Do you truly have to go", asked Alanna, Adam Strange's wife.

Norrin stood outside on a balcony under the starry night sky, his board hovering next to him. Joining him in the cool night air was Adam Strange, his wife, Alanna, and child, Aleea.

"Yes. My quest is still unfinished. I must continue my search for Galactus, and gain retribution for what he did to my homeworld."

"I understand. Take care, Norrin Radd, and thank you for everything."

"Thanks, Silver Man", smiled Aleea before running up to Norrin and hugging him.

"You are welcome, little one", smiled Norrin as he returned the child's embrace.

"Come on, Aleea. Let's go back to the party", Alanna said as he took her daughter by the hand and led her back inside.

"I can't thank you enough, Norrin. I was hesitant about you helping at first, but you proved yourself a true hero. All of Rann is in your debt."

"It is all right, Adam Strange. I simply could not sit by and watch the Kree butcher a world."

"And you risked your life to save a planet and a people you never knew. For that, I thank you", Adam says as he extends his hand to the Surfer.

"It is nothing you would not have done", Norrin Radd replies as he accepts Adam's handshake.

The Surfer turned and climbed up onto his board.

"Goodbye, Norrin. If you ever need help, you know where to find me."

"Thank you, Adam. Until we meet again."

And then the Surfer quickly departed into the heavens, once again taking up his quest.

Reaching orbit, Norrin Radd's cosmic senses quickly picked up the faint energy trail that marked the passing of his former master.

And like a streaking comet, the Silver Surfer, the Shining Sentinel of the Spaceways, took off into the Black.

Screen Name: Hubert Wolfgang Byrdman III Esquire

Character you would like to play: Matthew Murdock/Daredevil

Powers: Though blind, Matt Murdock's other senses are heightened to a peak level, allowing him to perform superhuman feats no other person would be able to accomplish. Daredevil is also trained in various forms of street fighting, boxing, and other martial arts.

Brief biography of the character's history:

Blinded by radioactive waste after seeing his father commit an unspeakable act, Matt Murdock found that all his other senses had taken on superhuman levels of acutness.

After his Father was gunned down for not taking a dive, Matt Murdock swore to protect the innocent and weak as Daredevil, the man without fear!

One month ago, Matt dissapeared in a blinding white light as an emerald ring slipped on to his finger.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: Daredevil is one of my favorite Marvel characters, the chance to mingle with DC characters is something I can't pass up. Plus, with the GL aspect now.

What can you bring to this game?: Decent RPer with a couple of year's experience.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Trebuchet MS and dark red for Matt Bolded for DD

Tonight, I sit on the ledge of a three story apartment, listening and waiting. I ponder on my old friend some more even as I sit here

There hasn't been a sign of Two-Face since he killed Gotham's mob lords, but I know he's out there waiting.

The smell of cordite and the bang of a revolver send the throughts of Two-Face out of my and send me flying down to the crime in progress.

It takes me all of a minute to take the gun from the mugger and break his arm in three places.

On my way back up to the rooftops, I hear a strange noise from a far. It gets closer and closer as I start to run towards it. Suddenly, I can hear something fast cutting through the air like a bullet.

Leaping off the rooftop and swinging with my billy club, I hear the object slow and dip down towards me.

I let go of the club and fall twenty feet to the ground in an effort to escape the missle with a brain.

My body rolls on the pavement, but I can still hear the object whizzing through the air and slowing down as it finally finds me.

Even through my gloves, I can feel the cold, metallic object slip on to my right ring finger and a robotic voice rings out.

Matt Murdock, you have the ability to overcome great fear.

I do this with a heavy heart, but for now at least, I'm going to have to drop Two-Face.

I'm just not feeling him this season. I think last season was such a definitive ending for my story, that continuing it this season has just felt awkward. Maybe down the line I'll be able to pick him up again with a fresh perspective. I've had a wonderful time playing him over Seasons 2 & 3, and I think the storyline I played out over those two seasons is some of the RP writing I'm most proud of. Harvey Dent will always have a special place in my heart, it was a pleasure to play him.
