"One Universe" RPG SEASON IV SIGN-UP FORM

Screen Name: Karem-Knight

Character you would like to play: President Lex Luthor

Powers: Lex does not have any superpowers, but has been regarded as one of the smartest men on the planet (if not THE smartest). Not to mention that Luthor also used to own LexCorps a multi billion dollar industry that he had built from his own money and ran most of Metropolis, now however he has won the election of President of the United States of America.

Brief biography of the character's history: Lex Luthor used to grow up in the damp and dreary areas of Metropolis' infamous "Suicide Slums" abused by his father Luthor reacted and made it his goal to become the most powerful man on Earth. With near genius intellect he set Lex Corp and in a matter of years what was once a small room in the Daily Planet building was now the fourth largest co-operation in America. Lex was Metropolis' saviour and hero, that all changed the day a man in a cape came flying through the streets of his city taking the public away from him, they now worshipped an alien. This drove Luthor mad with jealousy as he attempted to destroy Superman, even having the Golden Age World War II hero, Captain America under his pocket but soon that other American icon slipped through his fingers.

After a few quiet months, Lex announced his candidacy for President of the United States. Winning, by a narrow slope, Luthor now had the entire United States under his control; S.H.E.I.L.D. Commander in Chief Nick Fury resigned and Luthor appointed Amanda Waller as head of the new organization. Afterwards, the newly elected President had a disdain for the Olympic like qualities of the new Justice League and so decided to set up his own counter group; the Avengers Initiative. Now with a select group of heroes, former super villains as well as the military, S.H.E.I.L.D. and the entire country; Lex intends to save the world, his way.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character:
Luthor seems to be a key players in some events that are currently being placed in the current RPG, and as no other player has seemed to pick him up I thought I might give this another go. Also I've always loved the character of Lex Luthor, the original super villain, and his run as President in the comics was one of my favourite arcs of the DC Universe.

What can you bring to this game?: A devoted and loyal player, and hopefully add a bit more to the current arc.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Franking Gothic Medium, Bold. Colour Purple.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as needed.

The Oval Office, White House, Washington D.C.:

Lex Luthor, President of the United States of America.
I still can't help but feel incredibly joyful when I come into this office, the Oval Office and the White House. Headquarters of the United States Government, and me as it's Commander in Chief. Incredible in it's prospects and philosophy, but still not only is this an honour or a privilege for me, it is also my duty as an American, but also my sworn duty now. The world is changing but for the better? I do not know, but every time I have doubts I merely remember one thing in my mind:

The Alien.

And when he comes back to haunt my dreams, I can look around this office and see it be destroyed by him, his brainwashing gain the trusts of all the human beings who don't see his true intentions, what ever they may be. But I do not plan on finding them out, instead I have set up this country to be prepared to fight back for the forces of good, the greater good, and sometimes good people have to do bad things to stop even worse things from happening. Luckily, the Avengers have become my counter force against the new Justice League but the good Captain did not come to lead my new group; despite everything I had done for the man. As I sit down in the office chair and stair at the view the Presidential phone rings; "Mr.President? Amanda Waller wishes to speak with you, I have her on the first line." I put my hand on my head in frustration and talk into it. "Excellent, put her on!"

"Hello, Mr. President."

"Miss Waller, I assume that you have some news for me?"

"Yes I do, S.H.E.I.L.D.'s task force has been set up under way for their tasks. Also the Avengers are now at your full co-operation, I would be informing you of any further enquires."

"Very well, thank you Miss Waller."

I hang up the phone, and all my worries about the the gods and their "Mount Olympus" are put at rest, for at least a while. As I stare out in my window it is truly a breathtaking site, the city of Washington, perhaps not as much as Metropolis but this city truly defeats it in historical significance. And then I smile, as I realise it's all mine! Flight, invulnerability, heat vision, super speed and strength? They are merely feeble advantages in this world and now with mutants and other meta humans on the rise, he's not so special. But on the other hand? The most powerful country in the world, the only existing superpower, with an unbeatable military, three million people living in here; now that is true power.

"Truth, Justice and the American Way in deed...."

A strong app. I'd say that you playing as Lex Luthor would depend on you getting in contact with Sensei and BL, and them being okay with your involvement, but for now...
