Only in comic book movies

Adam West doesn't need powers, he's Batman Damn It!

Only in a comic book movie can geeky superheroes get the good looking chicks!!!

Only in comic book movies does law enforcement/security shoot a person wearing a bulletproof vest-IN the bulletproof vest, when the head is a perfectly clear target-then marvel at the ineffectiveness of this tactic. (Blade, Superman Returns)

Only in a comic book movie can the hero walk through fire, go through an explosion etc. and still come out fully clothed, or if his/her clothes are affected there is still strategic placing of the remnants

That's Spider-Man; no matter how thoroughly his costume gets trashed, the chest is still intact.

Only in comic book movies can you get thrown out of a building on fire and hit a car before crashing to the street, while your only super power is being rich, and survive.

I had put this in the General movies one, but it really belongs here:
Only in comic book movies does the loved one, who's been kidnapped FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF DRAWING OUT THE HERO-point out that the hero will come to their rescue and/or foil the villain's plan. (Batman Forever, Superman Returns)

In Superman Returns
Lois wasn't kidnapped to draw out Superman. He didn't even know she'd be randomly wandering onto his boat.

Doesn't really matter; the situation was still the same.

Only in comic book movies can you cause millions in property damage & not be held accountable or labeled a terrorist.

Only in comic book movies can the hero/villains cause blocks of destruction and no innocent bystanders get hurt.

only in comic book movies will the studio sacrifice story, acting, and plot so they can make money and lots of it.

That was inaccurate & uncalled for. Stay on point!

Only in Comic book movies can the hero do his regular day job all day and spend all night patrolling or stopping crime and never be tired. (Superman, Batman, DD etc.)

"Bats are nocturnal!"
"You always appear...exhausted."

Well in the BB it wasn't that bad, especially since Bats slept a good portion of the day but in other versions, not so much.

It's funny cause it happens with the majority of heroes at least Spidey keeps losing his day jobs because of it and the photography thing at least it's freelance.

He keeps getting fired from that, too.
But anyways, that's one of many reasons why I'm a Spidey fan. I mean, I WISH I could just walk out on a meeting w/my boss w/o even excusing myself, (Superman) come back from an assignment empty-handed (Superman II) & go MIA for FIVE years (Superman Returns) & still keep my job.

I know that would be awesome, I'd love to be able to just walk out sometimes.

Torso's a bigger target, and it's not always immediately known if the person has on a bullet-proof vest. In the case of Blade, going for the head shot would have been a bit malicious. Blade only had his sword out and he was a good few yards away from the cops, so they weren't really in danger. The next time they shot at him, he was running away. Again, no danger to them and no need to take a deliberate killshot.

Okay-but again, they see the vest, shoot it, then wonder why it didn't work. And for that matter, they had no reason to shoot him at all,. They told him to freeze. He stood up. They fired.

only in comic book movies can a man or woman aquire maertial arts skills tha would take 10-15 years to learn by having his teacher put a hand on his /her head [bulletproof monk]for the record i wish that could happen to me

Or better yet, dramatically improve their skills by exercising in a montage sequence with hard rock music playing in the background.

Only in a comic book movie can the richest person return to his city after a seven year absence, a new masked vigilante reveals himself, and no one can put the two together.

While utilizing equipment designed by his own employees, no less.

But in all fairness, the man who trained him did figure it out.
