I originally thought that, but when watching the scene again, when looking through the same window the people in the building are, Prime reaches behind his back and actually pulls something from it.

This is why i believe his cannon is strapped to his back and not built into him.

^Yeah, when the humans are taking out Blackout, you can see in the background that Prime is actually getting on top in the fight, getting some hits in and so forth.

It used to be on Youtube, but they deleted a load of TF clips.

That's because the only way they could have possibly uploaded those scenes onto YouTube is because they illegially downloaded the movie. It's called copyright infringement and pirating and they're both illegal.

Nice interview, but who ever wrote it up needs to learn to proofread his/her stuff before posting or s/he needs a beta. That thing was riddled with mistakes and it was very distracting.

Yup. It is on his back. I watched the movie again for the fourth time last night and that part was pretty evident.

Peter cullen made this movie returning to his role. Optimus is the coolest looking Transformer, that voice is just awesome, I don't think the movie would've been as good without Peter, that touch really does something for this film.

It was definitely a huge factor to The Movie's mega success . And It was both a Homage to G1 & a huge shout to all of us Die-Hard Transformers fans .

I can't wait for him to return in The Sequels .

I hope Optimus Prime is somehow reconfigured to be able to fly in the sequel.
I would also love to see more flying Autobots & Decepticons in the sequel & actually see some Transformer on Transformer air battles.

Now, this poses an interesting question.

I thought that Autobots could only transform into things that roll, cars, trucks...the like, and that Decepticons can transform into flying objects.

I don't remember where I read that, but I remember it quite well.

However, this doesn't work for Barricade and Brawl, so I guess that theory's out the window.

Question...could anyone name all of the Autobots in this pic? I could only name a few: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Jazz, Prowl, Ratchet and Wheeljack...I'm almost certain on the last two, lol.

I know in the G1 cartoon the Autobots could fly in their robot form, but when in their alt modes, they were usually things like cars.

In the prequel novel, Ghosts of the Past, the Autobots were able to take off and fly in their robot modes so they could at least get off the planet.

They were on a planet that had an Earth like atmosphere and I assume an Earth like gravity, but good point that they were in their protoforms.
