You guys act like they changed the look. They didn't change a thing. Check out the original Comic Con teaser poster. He has WHITE EYES, lol. That was always going to happen.

Also Apocalypse was never purple. Bad lighting can make a reflective blue, look purple, and theres a big difference concerning a BTS photo, a magazine cover and an actual still from the film. Almost every time an X-men character appears on a magazine cover, or BTS photo is not representative of their final look/feel on film. Though the design may be the same, the context in which it appears matters the most.

Also the Magazine cover shows him at at least 7 ft. If you look closely his hands are on Magneto and Psylockes shoulders. Must have missed that all these months?

Well, the facial features are much, much smoother, which tells me this is an incomplete CGI rendering. But yes, about the only things that it really adds are the lines to the lips, which are physically present in the makeup.

and he appears tall-ish on the cover, but that could just be for placement.. plus he's still a bit slender for my taste

Again, shape shifter. The cover could just easily be his recruiting form. The image could be from when he is using his powers. Sort of like Storm's eyes.

but clearly the new image has had slight alterations the early pic and cover did not have

oh and hopefully the white eyes aren't only when he's using his powers

The lips could entirely be a CGI thing, becuase we know they are there physically in the makeup. Which would be a mistake about not adding them to the cover.

The eyes are either a result of the CGI being incomplete, or just when he is using his powers. I highly doubt he is going to have pupiless eyes for the majority of the movie.

Because Colossus looked like in movie, or Iceman/Sunspot powers looked like in movie, and that covers were much later than July, it was December or even January 2014.

Photos in magazine or posters in magazine has nothing to movie version.
Different people makes special effects for movie in X-Men: Apocalypse crew and different people (EW) works with photoshop for magazine.

Huh? You do realize that these magazine shoots happen months before they hit the stands and up to a year before the movie even hits the theaters, correct?

To say that a photoshoot for a movie should be 100% accurate or be the final product is completely unreasonable for any film. They're still in the middle of production, not wasting time polishing some pictures for Entertainment Weekly of all publications.

His eyes are white in the original comic con poster. I pointed that out already, that was always going to be apart of the design. I have a feeling that his eyes will whiten out when using his power. Knowing Singer he won't want to rob Oscar of his eyes when acting out emotion or quiet scenes. His eyes being white the whole time doesn't make any sense cinematically. It's just another fanboy nitpick thing.

As for the features on his face, they aren't "much much " smoother at all. There is barely a difference, if any. His forehead is the only area of the face with any intricate detailing, and since he is facing upward, we do not see the forehead clearly. Maybe making one think its smoother? Otherwise it's just his lip lines. All of these details look exactly the same.

He appears "tall-ish" on the cover? He IS tall on the cover. Notice the hands on the shoulders. Those would not exists if the photo were just a higher placement in the group.

That said, Magazine covers are never accurate.

^ well, we didn't have much else to go on other than some set photos and unedited footage. we've been criticizing and speculating non-stop, waiting for the trailer.

But we all know it'll be here next month. And it will be super!

Probably yes. The trailer of DOFP came out in October so Apocalypse should have the trailer now. Both DOFP and Apocalypse had the same filming schedule

The Martian came out early October of 2015 while DOFP's trailer came out late October of 2014... so no surprise here that Apocalypse's trailer wasn't attached to The martian.

Maybe it would be attached to Spectre, Mockingjay part 2 or Victor Frankenstein.
