Done.No, they actually f***ing shouldn't.
Yeah! All it takes is to show people what they're not getting! Because what we get is never ever good enough.that manip is a huuuuge improvement, with such small tweaks
see, doesn't take much to make people happy
Perhaps, in the same way if someone showed me this without speech bubbles:Really? You wouldn't pick up on the fact that this character is in a blue costume that is ancient Egyptian inspired while being futuristic with tubes and cables, and not think it's Apocalypse? I would.
This particular discussion? Absolutely. It was a silly premise to begin with; ask someone what exactly is different, and then when provided with clarification, retort with various answers of why it's different. You've a talent for circular arguments.Careful with the unicolor assumptions. He may well have differently shaded lips. I don't think the makeup people ignored that his lips will need to be visible in the film.
1. The younger Apocalypse is standing IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT. His light blue skin is being bombarded with light. Of course he's going to look paler blue in that environment.
2. We've seen Apocalypse in the shadows, in darker settings, and in a photoshopped magazine cover. His skin is going to look darker. It's still very much light blue.
3. Even if it is darker...this character evolves. Who is to say he didn't evolve slightly darker skin for some reason?
This is a non issue.

And then a whole new set of fans will start complaining. There is no "we".well, since fixing that mess would take a bare minimum amount of effort and CGI, there's no reason that that can't be what we get
If they slapped dark lips on Apoc with the look he has now... we would only be hearing "why does he look so much like"...
Not really the same thing. To me that's as valid as the people who lump in Thanos, Apocalypse and Darkseid together and say they're the same.

Such "complaints" would be severely offset by the fact we have the source material to point to such design choices. Of course there will always be naysayers.Sorry, I should have clarified what I meant. I simply mean that there is no pleasing everyone, if they did the lines dark people would say ronan, if he was purple people would say thanos.
Honestly, he looks horrible, IMO. He looks like a guy who is painted blue and wearing clothes that are too big for him. It is underwhelming, IMO.
I was always fearful about Singer directing this, because he lacks imagination as a director. If you want a down to earth, character piece, Singer is your guy. If you want a sci-fi/fantasy epic (which is the stage needed to do a villain like Apocalypse justice), you need someone else. His unimaginative and underwhelming use of Sentinels underlines his lack of a vision on this level, IMO. I hope he proves me wrong, but the early shots do nothing to reassure me.
The only real addition is that instead of generic "tights and armor" visually, he has been given an ornate techno-organic "Egyptian" look, which absolutely fits the character.
The whining about the relative faithfulness of this design is absurd. To suggest theres no comic influence here is absurd.
