Apocalypse Oscar Isaac IS Apocalypse

Here's the thing about his size. We have only seen him in recruiting mode. I don't think towering over those you are trying to win over is the best idea. Let's wait to see him in battle before we start creating minipocgate.

:hmm:

I wonder when we can expect the Power Rangers trolling to stop?

The closeup looks better to me, you can see he has the lip thing (at least a version of it).

His eyes look sleepy tho

Probably when the movie comes out.

I like the armor but I can't put my finger on what I like about it exactly though. It just looks really cool. This a nice close-up and I really like his look a lot. The lighting isn't doing him any favors.

I like the armor, the practical effects, the overall design, to be honest

Not a fan of his physical size, or the emotion on his face in that still. He looks great, but he doesn't look intimidating. But its just one pic, so I'm not going to judge too harshly.

"At first"?

There are still a ton of people complaining about Leto's tattoos.

You know what...the close up does look better. Maybe it's the lighting in that picture screwing it up for me.

Who here is arguing the villain motivation?? You guys dont need to remind me of the one note Marvel villains. X2 Stryker is still one of the best Marvel villains IMO. But that's no excuse for this. I'm a huge Singerverse fan, I want it to keep going. But I'm not blind either.
I know what you're saying. I'm just using the examples that the superficial stuff like looks aren't what's important at the end of the day. And we are only seeing that right now. You know what a great villain is. And that overall the character side ends up being the most important part to the story and their motivations. Bringing up what Marvel do right is fine but we all know how badly they handle these villains too. Really they both have what the other lack. Fox need to be better at the look but get the character perfect and they are not just a bad guy. And Marvel get the looks done but they just make their villains boring and one dimensional so the good guy looks even better when they win.

I like that Apocalypse is looking like an old man almost. His age is showing. I have a feeling the characters look will change throughout the movie. He will become more younger and rejuvenated as he goes. I honestly think right now we are only seeing one look.

I think it's the lighting too. Storm's cape even looked a little purple in that picture. That is a very strong light.

Are you bringing this up because of my avatar?
I've loved that **** from the beginning, son

Oh I liked it from the beginning too, I was the only person out of all my friends that try to defend it.

The reason I bring it up is that Apocalypse is in the same situation that Joker, Lex Luthor, and Bane were in.

I still remember when people weren't too fond of Chris Evans when he was announced as Captain America at first.

I must be devastating enduring hours of makeup and have such a negative feedback. Poor Isaac. =/

The lighting really does not help because you can see the lines that are near his mouth and it looks like it is supposed to be darker than what the picture is showing.

I wouldn't be surprised if Charles is the reason that he will become bigger and more powerful.

Indeed, but at worst it will just have been a creative decision that backfired but doesn't hinder the quality of the film. I guess my question is, did they think it wouldn't be divisive?

I see.:yay:

I'm hoping my opinion changes on this honestly.
I was so psyched about him appearing in a movie and I'm just severely disappointed with the way he looks.
I wasn't too fond of Quicksilver's look at first either but it grew on me a lot and I really liked it in the movie,so who knows?

I'm open to being proven wrong.
And I hope it happens.heh
