Our "Space Princess": David Corenswet IS Clark Kent/Superman!

So I could be wrong, however I haven't seen one mention yet of David's hair as Superman. I know Superman's hair in live action has always been a point of contention for us. Rarely has it been done right. So what's the overall consensus in regard to his hair in this film, from what we've seen?
I quite like it. It's appropriately wavy, gelled up but not Dracula slicked-back like Cavill's. I'd have liked it a little less shiny, but oh well.

I'm sure folks notice the hair plenty, whether they discuss it or not. It adds to the general look the same way the ears on the Bat-cowl or the lenses on Spider-Man's mask do, and bad hair can make him look lame. I'd bet good money that Brandon Routh's doll-style coiffed hairdo subtracted a few mil from Superman Returns's final haul.

Looks like this interview was shot during the reshoots. :D

Can't wait to see him in Twist3rs

I can't wait to see him in Titty Twisters. The spin off to From Dusk Till Dawn

It's more likely he'd headline that Backdraft redo they're cooking up at Universal than Twister 3, I'd argue.

They’re doing a reboot/sequel to Backdraft?

Hadn’t heard that. But if so, I could see that being a good role for him.

Love Cavill's face for the role more but I think Corenswet is better actor & looks like Superman as well and also taller. I rather have bigger Superman next to Batman & Aquaman , not the reverse like Snyderverse.

It seems to be an upgrade to be honest.

In the comics, Batman and Superman are drawn at roughly the same size, right? Perhaps my most out-of-pocket opinion on this is that Batman’s size is important for his iconography and tactics — he kind of needs to be tall and broad and intimidating, he needs to cast a long shadow and block out your view as he approaches you. But with Superman, his power isn’t in theory related to his physical size.

I think visually it looks better if Superman is a bit bigger than Batman. Batman's costume and aura will always overshadow boyscout in a colorful costume. I think part of why Reeve still look commanding in a silly costume because he was a giant compared to the cast.

I'm not asking for Keaton sized Batman by the way. That would look funny next to 6'4 guy. 6-6'2 is good enough.

dcu_updates IG page has David saying goodbye to his Superman diet by eating brownies on camera. It is not on his own page, so far, but it is cute. Shooting is really over. I guess we know when they shoot the second one, David will show us he is back on his diet.

It must be hellish for actors to be in these shapes is required thing now. Not everbody enjoys training especially into a super human look.

Back in the day only Arnold, Sly and a few actors had such bodies and they were geniunely obsessed with bodybuilding & martial arts.. acting or not.

Maybe one of the reason some actors hate superhero movies or act like it's beneath them. I would much rather to be out of shape drama actor than a next Superman if money is same.

True, but also unlike Batman, Superman doesn't need ninja-style skills, agility, stealth, disappearing into the shadows etc. Batman is a bit of a conflict re size as he needs to be both big and small. :funny:

It's not that rare in the general population to be into (enjoy) working out at the same time, even without any end goal outside health and for some looking better. Young people nowadays even more so. And people who do work out regularly as a matter of course on a regular diet and no drugs wouldn't need much more than a personal trainer to get into superhero shape. I agree though that it would be a bit of a nightmare for someone who just can't get into it and doesn't enjoy it at all.

The Arnold physique is far bigger than typical superhero shape anyway, peak Arnie would be too big for most roles and look wrong physically. The main unusual thing about many modern day superhero physiques is that they are achieved in such a short timeframe and sometimes by people who weren't in notable shape beforehand (sometimes I'm sure with the assistance of drugs). If you were already into working out you have decades to get a base that makes the jumping off point much further advanced and do it all for fun already.

Ok now I'm intrigued enough to check this out because in the only other clip I saw, these two characters were a young happy couple. S*** clearly went down! :funny:

David has some serious range, though. There are no similarities here with his roles in We Own This City, Hollywood, The Politician, Pearl, etc. Like, the mannerisms are totally different.
