Our "Space Princess": David Corenswet IS Clark Kent/Superman!

It seems a bit all too easy that Corenswet is the main man for the job, you think this film would have had every dude and his dog auditioning and none of them were good enough except for fan fav Corenswet? Like he is the onlllly one in Hollyweird to pull it off. Just seems odd.

Eh Im down for Corenswet but wouldn't cry if he didn't get it, I'm just burnt out of from fan casting and want to know already... And I really just wanna see the god damn suit!

Corenswet would be fine, probably great under Gunn’s direction, who won’t make it feel like Cavill all over again.

But I would have liked a more Frank Quietly style, more oafish, less model type. Like a Winston Duke type.

Personally I think Lex should be the one to have that “handsome and he knows it” quality, not Clark.

Danny Ramirez is 5"9, so I could definitely buy that Coronswet is 6"4.

Regardless of the specifics, the main thing is he looks tall in every picture I've seen him in - and in group shots he's usually the tallest one in the picture. That's how I want Superman to look.

Given how many people want David Corenswet as the next Superman, I can only imagine the chaos should Gunn announce someone else for the role later this year.

In the Man of Steel casting days, I was 100% settled on and hoping for Cavill. To me, he was the perfect choice. This time around I don't have that enthusiasm for any of the choices, including Corenswet. I like Corenswet more than most, but I feel like deep down I secretly hope the big decision will be revealed and I'll be swept off my feet by the person they present. Like, "Holy ****! where did this guy come from? He looks perfect!" Then Gunn and Safran will be like, "Hey, I know you guys aren't familiar with this guy, but trust us, we went through a billion auditions and a million screen tests and this guy nailed it!"

Genuinely curious, where do you get the exact heights of celebs from?

Celebrity Heights - How tall are Celebrities? (celebheights.com)

…seems to be fairly reliable. Turns out there’s a nerd community for everything. :nerdy: So just as we might argue about the proper shade of red for Superman’s cape, these guys bicker over whether so-and-so is 5’11¼” or 5’11½“.

BTW, if Corenswet is cast, he’d be the tallest Superman — a tad taller than Christopher Reeve.

I'm right there with you. I don't have a favorite for supes either.
I'm more invested in the Lex casting this time around.

No offense but it seems kinda silly to me that we've spent three pages arguing over a difference of two inches. Even if you assume Corenswet is 6'2", once he's put in a pair of boots he clears 6'4" easily.

Just seems like much ado about nothing. :funny:

Look let me tell you something, I'd be an entirely different man with an extra two inches.

Wait, what?

Height is aggressively irrelevant and no one ever quite seems to internalize in superhero fandom that it could not matter less.

Suddenly I don't feel like I'm wasting my time online quite as much when I see that place. :funny:

You know damn well that this is the stuff we do when the hunger has really started setting in.

We need at least a morsel of news before we start going full cannibal (starting petitions).

might as well throw in the night agent lead Gabriel basso. Just got cast in Clint's new Warner movie. Hes 28 I think. Kinda fits a farm boy look(?)

I like his look, but he doesn’t really seem to have the demeanor.

Or voice. I genuinely can’t imagine Superman sounding like that lol.

I do kinda like his look, but I watched all of the Night Agent and just wasn’t impressed with him at all.

Connor Swindells performance in Sex Education is quite good. If he is cast, he must wear the Superman suit with a tank top form so we can see his chest hair. A Superman with visible chest hair. My only demand

I watched Pearl over the weekend. Corenswet might be too much like Henry Cavill. I think he is a combination of Cavill and Brandon Routh looks wise.

Between all the terrible suggestions (not counting Corn Sweat, of course) and Succession references, I'm surprised that you bastahs haven't mentioned this guy yet. So, allow me to be the first. :o
