Iron Man 2 and Thor the Dark World are really a tie for me

Agree with this, it doesn't matter how bad Vanko was, he was still much better than Malekith. Iron man 2 is just a better movie all around if you ask me.
I would say Iron Man 2 did more for the MCU as well, yes those elements were in the movie too much in the end, but it was awesome seeing Black Widow and Nick Fury properly introduced, not to mention a debut for War Machine. Thor 2 didnt really give us anything new, it was just really disappointing, IMO of course..

I agree about Iron Man 2, I don't think it's that bad, better than the 3rd IMO, I didn't think much of TDW though.
Malekith sucked, but across three films TDW had the best performances out of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.
I must say I didnt think TDW would be winning this, I thought IM2 was more well thought of and with TASM2 being the newest I thought that had a shot as well.

Thor Dark World is alot of fun, and I thought the script wasn't close to being a cluttered mess like ASM2 or IM2. It's narrative flowed much better, and had more focus. It's disappointing with the Main villain (as was IM2 and ASM2 imo) and end battle gags. But otherwise, I don't see the upperhand the others have on it. My biggest disappointment with the Thor Franchise is the extreme lack of Enchantress.
Personally I find TDW, IM2 and ASM2 enjoyable. Flawed but still fun.
Yeah I was just talking about Malekith. Loki was awesome in TDW. Hiddleson owned the flick. Thought he was great in Avengers as well.
Hiddleston was great, but I didn't think he was written all that well. He does some stupid things like talk back to Hulk, is duped on more than one occasion by the likes of Natasha and Coulson, and his big plan was very lacking. Loki should be more intelligent that that, two steps in front of everybody else, like he is in the two Thor movies.
But anyways the point is that TDW does some things very well. Malekith hurts the movie, but it doesn't break it.

Vanko is my favorite villain of the MCU. I wanted more of him, and that's one of my critiques of Iron Man 2: leaving Vanko's development on the cuttingroom floor. Thor II I enjoyed least. It didn't feel like a whole story, but instead a stepping stone made because it had to be made, rather than because there was...a story worth telling.
