Agree with this, it doesn't matter how bad Vanko was, he was still much better than Malekith. Iron man 2 is just a better movie all around if you ask me.

 I would say Iron Man 2 did more for the MCU as well, yes those elements were in the movie too much in the end, but it was awesome seeing Black Widow and Nick Fury properly introduced, not to mention a debut for War Machine. Thor 2 didnt really give us anything new, it was just really disappointing, IMO of course..

Malekith sucked, but across three films TDW had the best performances out of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.

I think IM 2 is very underrated. Both it and TDW are both solid.

I agree about Iron Man 2, I don't think it's that bad, better than the 3rd IMO, I didn't think much of TDW though.

I would say IM3 is slightly better than IM2, due to better villains, a better score and better action scenes. But I agree that IM2 is better than TDW.

IM2 easily for me. Thor2 then and those are the only 2 on this list that I'd say are still actual good movies. Though I would question Thor2 not being as well received as Thor1 in any sort of "universal" sense. Critically, sure but I've heard plenty of average jane's and joe's say they liked it better because it explored the 9 realms more. It's at least on par with Batman Returns vis-a-vie Batman'89.

Agreed. Especially Hiddleston. He was better as Loki in TtDW than he's ever been so Malekith getting shafted didn't bother me so much because we still had a great villain in the mix.

I though Kick-Ass 2' Sin City 2 and TASM2 were all okay sequels, , certainly not as good as their originals, but okay movies themselves. TASM 2 was better than its original for me so that's why I voted for it.

I must say I didnt think TDW would be winning this, I thought IM2 was more well thought of and with TASM2 being the newest I thought that had a shot as well.

Just as long as the likes of Transformers 4 and TASM 2 are not winning.

Thor Dark World is alot of fun, and I thought the script wasn't close to being a cluttered mess like ASM2 or IM2's were. It's narrative flowed much better, and had more focus. It's disappointing with the Main villain (as was IM2 and ASM2 imo) and end battle gags. But otherwise, I don't see the upperhand the others have on it. My biggest disappointment with the Thor Franchise is the extreme lack of Enchantress.

Personally I find TDW, IM2 and ASM2 enjoyable. Flawed but still fun.

I don't agree that these movies weren't as good as their predecessors, I thought they were better, but here's how I rank them:

1. Thor: The Dark World
2. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
3. Iron Man 2

Vanko is my favorite villain of the MCU. I wanted more of him, and that's one of my critiques of Iron Man 2: leaving Vanko's development on the cuttingroom floor. Thor II I enjoyed least. It didn't feel like a whole story, but instead a stepping stone made because it had to be made, rather than because there was...a story worth telling.

Malekith sucked, but Loki was great. It was far closer to way Loki should be. His biggest attribute is his cleverness. He is the God of Mischief after all. The Avengers made him too dumb, so it was nice to see a return to form.

Yeah I was just talking about Malekith. Loki was awesome in TDW. Hiddleston owned the flick. Thought he was great in Avengers as well.

Hiddleston was great, but I didn't think he was written all that well. He does some stupid things like talk back to Hulk, is duped on more than one occasion by the likes of Natasha and Coulson, and his big plan was very lacking. Loki should be more intelligent that that, two steps in front of everybody else, like he is in the two Thor movies.

But anyways the point is that TDW does some things very well. Malekith hurts the movie, but it doesn't break it.

I actually don't think Natasha outwits him. I think he allows her to THINK she did because she knew she'd eventually bring out the Hulk. Which she did. As for Coulson, he was about to die and got one badass moment in before clocking out. I still call that a win for Loki.

I completely agree with that. Enjoyed it more then the others on the list, and I like most of those as well.

I voted for 300, but there are no great options on that list.

The worst movie on the list is Thor 2. It beats out all of the others by virtue of Erik Selvig running around naked, and the creatives thinking that this constituted comedy.

He is not my favourite but you could tell there was more there that they cut out, it's a real shame we didn't get more if him, i liked Hammer as well.

I just find it really disappointing, and unlike many CBM's it doesnt get better with more re-watches, it actually gets worse. Marvel just didnt seem as interested in making a good movie here as they were for Cap 2, GOTG or even to a much lesser extent IM3. The short run-time cutting out most of the main villains storyline certainly backs this up.

I loved the 1st Thor, its my favourite phase 1 movie, and the sequel had the potential to be as good as Avengers, TWS and GOTG, but I think Marvel's meddling brought the movie down a lot. Its not an awful movie or anything, non of the MCU movies are, but I would say its the least enjoyable and worst out of them for me, despite having some really good moments.

I agree its flawed but enjoyable like IM2 and TASM2, but I found more to enjoy in both of those personally.
