Anyone else worried after the success of Jurassic World(which grossed 500 mill world wide in 3 days) that they'll begin to make more monster/dinosaur films in addition to the ones coming out.

Godzilla 2016, Godzilla 2, Godzilla 3, Pacific Rim 2, Pacific Rim 3, Attack On Titan

And that Superhero films will slowly loose traction and burn out before Spider-Man thus making Spider-Man 2017 do poorly with the public and effectively kill the MCU before it can get to Infinity War as well as any other future Superhero films?

Nope

Well alot of people are beginning to think so.

Hey if they can get but and success of jw on opening we be in good place. I doubt jw will cause more dino films and less heroes. Didn't do it back in day. And we know heroes are around to 2020 with many films out.

Even so, it's a valid point.

Not really. Godzilla was successful because it was good. Jurassic world relied alot on nostalgia, and turned out to be good. And Didn't pacific rim not perform well? All that said we are really saturated with cbm's but as long as we got diverse, popular and original characters with good stories, people will watch em. It's all technically sci-fi action blockbusters at the end of the day

Do try to be a bit more optimistic, mate. Even if a new monster movie trend eats a chunk of the superhero mainstream audience, it will take time. And Marvel would be the last one standing, for obvious reasons.

They may make more Monster movies but that will be IN ADDITION to more Superhero films .

The Infinity Wars movies are going to make over 3 billion dollars combined.

Totally as long as films are good. And folks want to see them. I doubt hero films will die any time soon. This isn't like westerns dying out for scifi back in the day.

Why would anyone be worried about the future of comic book movies?
I'm not worried, I say keep the awesome going.

At the end of the day, they're all big budget blockbusters. Until the GA decides they hate blockbuster movies, cbm's wont be out of business

The superhero genre is here to stay. The thing is Marvel, Sony and the other studios will have to learn how to announce these things. You don't buy issue #700 of Spider-Man knowing what will happen in #715. Marvel and DC will be fine, but they'll have to learn how to promote their films and cast a shadow of secrecy over them.

Off topic but for anyone that thinks that E3 isn't sucking all the geek dosage of news today for the general public, take a look at Bethesda's E3 show from yesterday:

And they are just getting started. The real treat comes today.

Spider-mans 1st solo film WILL BE A DINO MOVIE! :D

SM will be in savage Land with the film about the Time Gem. Hulk makes an appearance etc. Kraven is the villan, I'm sure you saw the rumors.

lol they wont do savage land. Do we even know if marvel has the rights to that area/characters. And what would a dino film do for the hs/coming of age story we know marvel wants.

It should be available for Marvel, they used Ka-Zar in USM animated series.
And it's not like Ka-Zar is attached to the X-Men, to them he is like Kingpin is to Spider-Man.

ya but animated vs live action is different. As we see marvel can use certain xmen/ff characters in animation but not in live action.

Battlefront looks fantastic. So many games I need...
