Ozy's Accent

He talked about working out for the role.

He may have worked out but he doesn't look anywhere near big enough to throw the Comedian around a room. Fortunately I don't care that much about his physique. It'll just involve some minor suspension of disbelief for me, that's all.

Size has very little to do with throwing people, especially if you're already of average size and weight. It's about skill and speed and technique.

Just call it the miracles of the Veidt Method.

In any case I sort of see Adrian as a slim, compact, martial arts type of fighter. More of a smart fighter than a strong one. (The smartest in the world, as it were.) Even so, he's also the type of character who, through sheer force of will and determination, can probably pull off greater feats of strength than his frame would imply, like catching a bullet. After Rorschach he's got the strongest willpower of any of them, I'd say.

You don't have to have massive biceps to be strong, having muscles does not make you strong....I have been a boxer and a wrestler and I cant even begin to tell you how many times I've floored other men with so called (master physiques). The strength is in your conditioning and technique, you can be as strong a a bear but if you cant move fast enough or connect with your punches..guess what your going to lose. I'm not saying that this is true in every scenario, but it is possible that a thin man can hurt a much bigger opponent if he knows what he is doing.

Besides watchmen is surreal anyways, even a strong muscled guy most likely could not pick up another person and throw them out of a window in the manner that Veidt did Blake.

Exactly. Blake wasn't a small dude, you would have to have someone who was huge to throw a man like that. Probably someone more the size of the guys who do the strongman competitions.

Veidt never had the appearance of one of those guys though, even in the graphic novel. In the real world even a strongman most likely could not throw somebody out of a window in that manner if said person is similar to their own size. So their has to be some suspension of belief their.

Exactly, I was agreeing with you. And I cited Strongman because they would be even bigger than Blake. I'm talking about the guys on Mr. Universe competitions, the one's that have to pull planes and such. Someone like them might be able to throw someone like Blake out the window the way Ozzie did.

So yes, I agree that you definitely need suspension of belief for that scene.

oh ok sorry I misread u I worked 12 hours today so Im a little tired.... and yes suspension of belief is key

And this is exactly what you see in the movie. When he throws Blake out the window he throws him as if he was doing it with a technique, him having leverage over comedian and what happens prior im sure makes it easier.

When you see adrian fighting everything is different from the rest. Quicker, more intelligent, and even the camera changes to show this.

Lovely accent, absolutely appropriate demeanor and body language...
As Ozymandias, Goode is very Good...

I hope Nolan adopts Ozys fighting style into Batman's move set for Batman 3
Both compensate for lack of superpowers by keeping their body near super-human levels of physical fitness...

Scratch that, Bats is a brawler... the acro stuff is more Nightwing's thing...
