Pacific Rim

It's hard to say because it could be just a demo of one of artists from del Toro's new company.

looks a little small considering the size they are said to be in this one.

This one looks like the drones from Iron Man 2. The design is too regular for Guillermo del Torro. I expect much much more from the movie.

if it is a jaegar its test footage. it looks way to fake for 2012.

Most likely it's not from him but from his new company.

Those might've been an early take on the Jaegers or maybe those are Jaeger prototypes. But based on what we've seen so far, the Jaegers look a lot different. They have done' dome type of heads. And their bodies are a bit more chunky.

I felt so. It looked too fake and for what we've been hearing about the movie, too small.

The footage is absolutely not related to Pacific Rim AT ALL. Not even remotely. There is no footage of Pacific Rim to be released before December.

Lmao@ the guys posting the same information. This excludes Parker and Doom, since they were being sarcastic.

There are new informations about the jaeger:
The Jaegers were based on existing Robotic / DARPA* Jet-fighter neural links. The very first engines used to create the "muscle strands" on the Jaeger limbs were Husqvarna** engines and the first assembly line was an amalgam between Germany and US. Those were the MARK I".
The technologies are explained.

You see, this is why I love Guillermo del Toro. He puts so much thought into the worldbuilding and how everything needs to work. It gives it a "real world" kind of feel.

Also, browsing through that site, I couldn't help but notice one other interesting bit of info:

Ellen MacLain (GlaDOS in Portal) will be the voice of Jager's AI.

Yeah, Del Toro definitely knows his audience. :woot:

The voice of GlaDOS will be playing a Jarvis-type role in Pacific Rim? Just one of the many things that make this movie awesome.

Apparently kaiju have been spotted in San Fran according to that viral site. Damn eco-friendly hippies attracting giant reptiles and ****. :cmad:

Japanese kaiju love destroying Tokyo, but in US, they love destroying San Fran. How many time the Golden Gate Bridge has been destroyed?

Trailer in December, attached to the hobbit.

Too far away. I don't want to wait that long! :cmad:

I expect to have my mind blown by this.

Did they talk about weaponry? Do the mechs have giant guns or is it fists and melee?

I wonder if the Great Britain Air Command thing means Hunnam and Idris Elba are going to use their own accents

I would laugh my ass off if Charlie Hunnam spoke geordie like his Byker Grove days in this movie "wae'aye man, wee nowt hoose"

Yes...some heavy weapons like plasma canon (there is a pic from CCNY on the blog linked before) and melee weapons like sword and knives.

I'm so psyched for the trailer. This movie has sick potential.
