Best heel in the world, Chael Sonnen, tallks about his strength and conditioning coach Stone Cold Steve Austin. [YT]ytbPB6wRUkk[/YT]
God I love Chael!!!
This is the first time I've seen this clip. Thanks for posting!![]()
I don't know. I found the comment odd. It's possible they found a rythm that they enjoyed working and that was it. I think the difference could be that Steamboat is the kind of guy who was established before Sting so he could tell Flair if he wanted to do something different and push the envelope. Sting was made by Flair and likely had a high degree of respect for Flair to the point that he went with whatever Flair wanted.
He was. Though those monster heels vs. babyface matches are few and far between in today's wrestling, I think any wrestler should look at Sting's matches for an outline of how to put together a match like that.
This is never pointed out, but Sting was incredibly agile for a man his size. When he was in his prime he probably weighed around 250-260 and was flying over the top rope.
I have. It was a very good match. They really made Regal look strong during that match. He dominated with Sting getting the comeback in the end. Regal was completely underutilized in WCW and WWE. It's shame he never was given the chance to have a run at the top.
I really dig the new NXT taping arena on the Full Sail U campus. Might actually watch it now.

I think some of it may have been that Sting's offense he used in other matches didn't suit Flair, so they kept it minimalist. I mean Sting never used his dive, his top rope splash, the German Suplex, the rolling Liger kick etc..when he worked Flair.
Definitely, he was a hell of an athlete, I recall his dive over the top rope at Starrcade 88 when he teamed with Dusty against the Road Warriors, it was incredible for a guy his size.
Once Hogan arrived in WCW there was no upward mobility for guys like Regal, and he had good mid card title pushes in WWE just like he had in WCW, but right when a WWE title push was being lined up he failed a wellness test. Without doubt one of the best to have never been a world champ in the big 2.
Best Buy is selling a lot of their WWE blus for 7.99. I saw Royal Rumble 2012 , WM 25 , WM26 , WM 27 , Best of Smackdown 2009-2010 , Best PPV matches 2009-2010 , and the John Cena Experience!
Going through that made me think about The Genius, which lead me to this on you tube.
That's Lanny Poffo!? Never knew The Genius was the Macho Man's brother!
Just got done watching SmackDown... interesting to see how they are using Daniel Bryan exactly how I said they should post Wrestlemania.
It's great to see he's gotten over his stuttering issue he had a few years back. Guess that's why he went to TNA, so that he could get Bubba to help him overcome his issue. You know, TNA are bunch of idiots. Given Morgan's look and the fact that he's a well spoken guy, he would be the perfect guy to do media appearances. He's one of the most marketable younger guys they have.
You say that like it's a bad thing....I met Lita and Matt Hardy back when they were still together at a signing. Lita was really nice to everyone and if you were shy ,she'd get you talking. Hope she isn't always remembered for being a hoe.
Every time I see Cesaro, I keep thinking it's Jason Statham in the ring.
