Phoenix Fire Bird

still I agree with the phoenix flame issue... we saw it in x2...it has to be in x3... otherwise... this blows.

yeah, well....so what?

I like what I see. Jean died. Came back. Without Firebird but badass black eyes. I like those black eyes better. In a whole I think from what I saw the film will be great in spite of all these 'mistakes' I mentioned in some other thread.

If he dies and comes back, he could also have blue furr all over? Dont you think?

it is not just black eyes.. her entire face goes black!

but seriously...go watch the scene after magento yells "ENOUGH"... I see a red/yellow/orangy tint in her eyes before they go back to normal...... it almost looks...like fire...

I didn't notice it before... but seriously, there is something there...its scary even more now.

I've not seen that movie. Do you mean she goes kind of pale/grey?

At least when she's killing everyone at the end, is there a shot where they could ADD the Phoenix fire bird effect?

by saying the grudge, i mean scary ass ghostish...

And yes, i do mean her whole face goes BLACK, not just her eyeys..

and yes, there is time for them to add the fire effect.. where she is flying i was expecting her to fly infront of the fire so she would look like the real comic phonix with all the flames.. sadly tho, she did not do this in the movie.. but i guess they could change it..

Thats one of my major gripes with this movie. The rush - Why rush it guys? At least give the post production people a chance to make the best effects possible.

It sounds like they went with this black effect because it was easier and cheaper.

Like a Minstrel?

Yeah it really does seem easy and cheap, unlike what the real Phoenix effects should be.

Can they be that late in putting special effetcs like that? I mean, we're a fews weeks from the world release and can they still be woring it somehow?
Ice Age: The Meltdown 30 days before release was yet in work, but animations are too different to make a comparison.

There's more fishy things out there than I could imagine if that's so...

On a 200 million dollar budget too.

Hopefully that was just for the press screenings though and since this is a movie "for the fans" we'll get to see the Phoenix effect in all it's glory May 26th.

Come to think of it - watch that clip again. DOD was right about her eyes, they do go black but there is a fire in them. Also there is a noticable change in the color in her face - it tints a dark red, moreso than a black.

The films budget excluding marketing was definitely 150.
