Transformers Pictures Discussion Thread

I have no problems with all types of animation styles. I disliked Batman The Animated Series (mainly because of the body proportions... not scenery) and Teen Titans styles at first, but both grew on me. Having said that, Transformers looks really really really really bad for Transformers. The style makes zero sense for Transformers.

Lol yea i could say that about those shows too... but yea they really owned Transformers... and the fans prob more ... this is why i never had a problem with Bay's movie and the way it seems to have turned out

And I read somewhere that you won't even see the transformations on the new cartoon. It will appear like they are a spinning mini-tornado with a couple flashes of color/parts and then they are whatever mode. Everything about this animation is just cop-out laziness, no talent and no art.

I mean it was bad enough with the Unicron trilogy with the lame anime style and crappy voices.

I am 100% serious. I will look for the article now. I remember it, because the person who wrote it mentioned it would look like Taz.

Are you suprised at this? Look at the animation, and then compare it to the typical lazy ass animation nowadays. Picture Optimus prime in that vehicle form, a few quick spins, and he is standing there with his arms crossed.

It's gonna happen.

But in the cartoon, apparently they're not in disguise.

As in they've been working with humans for years.

I can see with this animation that a group of YOUNGSTERS, named like.......Clyde or Rush or Spanky......with wild hair and neon clothes mind you.....will lead the Autobots into ZANY and WILD fights at first, but they will end up being to protect the World. I am sure a mean dog will appear at sometime and scare the "oafish decepticon".

Lame ass.

You know what's really sad....they do this style of art and animation and say it's just like anime...when it's nothing LIKE anime. This, unfortunetly is what the uneducated are going to think anime is like.

This isn't anime or anything LIKE anime. It's just crap made from studios too cheap to put quality animation into a product. They should do themselves a favor and check out some REAL anime and see what good animation really is.

I hope some new animators come along some day and do something good as the g1 cartoon. And it was not as if the g1 cartoon has amazing stories or anything, it was great because the characters were so rich and had so much personality. The animation helped push that appeal even more.

When you're that bada$$ you don't need no stinkin gun...he almost appears the type to rip limbs off like pulling legs off a bug.

Although yeah, a huge arm cannon would of been pretty sweet...

Then again, would it really be fair if he did? They've made him so severely over powering compared to the others...To me, in the cartoon it always seemed as if prime could just slap megatron into submission...here prime seems like the underdog. I'll have to see prime fight.

When I was a kid, I watched 3 Stooges, Transformers, G.I. Joe's, Centurions: Power Extreme, Mighty Orbots, Tranzor Z, and anything else involving blowing crap up.

These shows, while violent at the core, taught me about team work and always standing up for what is right and doing the smart thing. (Not so much the 3 Stooges. they beat the **** out of eachother, but they always stuck together).

Shows today do NOT have that anymore. No more team work, always focusing on the "plight" or "pain" of one member, usually the emo guy or the goth ****e or the little guy who can't get respect (even though he can turn into a ass **** TIGER GORILLA and stomp your ****!). There is no sense to cartoons today, and they do not teach ANYTHING to young kids.

Take DragonBall Z.......You think I would let my kid sit there for a conversation about HOW ANGRY THEY ARE that lasts for over THREE episodes. THREE! No Way. I kick his fat chubby ass outside and tell him to do something and make something of himself.

These shows are a joke, and they never last long at all. They are garbage, and this Transformers is the same ****. The animation alone speaks volumes, as well as this article: Info about Trans Anim. . A nice little shout out to Shinobi Rendar from the site also.


So basically, since I don't feel like typing anymore, this show sucks and I have no hope for it. I may be too hard on it since it is not out yet, but I already got this feeling.

Damn, Cosmic! Hey, I loved Teen Titans a lot... I thought it was all about team work. One of the few "action" shows I allowed my daughter to watch. And, Avatar is also a great cartoon way way way better than even the stuff I grew up with... including (pains me to say) Transformers.

God?!? and the transformations are Tazmanian-Devil-style-mini-tornado-bursts? The "flames" were nothing!! One of the big draws of Transformers are the transformations themselves, 'tis too sad

Can you imagine a movie-inspired Transformers cartoon mini-series, a la Clone Wars, which is shown like say Lost or any other television series? Weekly with epic animation, like say something on Adult Swim like Witch Hunter Robin or the like.

How would they do something like that? Make it just like Clone Wars and have it lead up directly into the sequel? I would like it.
