Exactly what I said when I saw most of the designs.

I CANNOT believe the people that think that all the designs are ok.

To be honest, I don't see how they can make toys from it. How will they transform? The look overly complicated. Even though Prime looks ok in alt mode, he looks nothing like the truck he transformed from. Look at Bumblebee, you can't tell what the heck he is in alt mode. Was he a car, a yellow toaster?

Oh my god...Starscream. They completely messed him up. I'd take that design (top heavy odd-ball look) for Megatron, but not Starscream. Star is my favorite Decepticon, and to see him look like a GoBot on crack disturbs me.

You don't take a series and completely change it in the movie for the sake of change. Did they do that with TMNT? What about Spider-Man? X-men was the closest to being changed a lot. But damn, they at least have to LOOK something like the cartoon. Prime is a great start, his body structure, color, and face are pretty good. We don't need walking robot apes (Bumblebee, Starscream).

I can't wait to see them transform. Looks like it will take them 30 minutes judging my the complexity of the design. Does Prime strip himself of most of the truck parts when in alt mode? No grill, smoke stacks are gone. That's a huge truck to me transformed and compacked like that. It makes no sense.

Oh yeah, this is my first post. I had to say something about those designs...so I joined.

Anyway, Prime looks ok. Blackout is ok, though too many parts. Scorp looks cool. Bumblebee looks bad. Starscream looks like sh1t on an ugly stick.


Batman used to look pretty odd in his early days also, but he looks and is a cool character even now. Don't use the "we're adults" to justify how messed up some of the designs are. I guess since we are adults, we can accept sh1t for designs of a popular series with highly notable characters...most of which look NOTHING like themselves. Kinda like Captain America being an overweight Cambodian dude. But hell, we are adults. We can accept anything...

thats the thing, they are good designs, thats why i accept them, i like them cuz they ARE good, if they sucked i would say it. u know what sucked.. megatron turning into a handgun, that sucked. a good design is a good design, most of u are just blinded by your childhood. i for on want to see some complexities. u dont need to see all bumblebee's car parts in robot mode, as long u see him turn into that car and it makes sense, and im pretty sure it will.

i guess u wnt to see prime's trailer dissapear into oblivion too?

Spyda-Man, please read that. If you can't tell what or where the eyes are from the design...something is wrong. I'm not going to accept any bullcrap design they throw at the table and love it because it's "called" Transformers. Sorry, but I'm not that simple-minded and gullable.

The top pic that Spark posted would be a lot to ask for in Starscream, but it would be so awesome. Its like they took that model of Starscream, crushed it up, took a crap on it, and reassembled it into what is the bottom pic of the Starscream concept.

If You take just a second glance at the Starsceam movie design, You'll notice that the narrow eyes are made of green translucent plastic, just like the cockpit glass.

Also, the cannons on his hands, have an interesting shape, just like the bones in a finger . . . [some long fingers].

One more excuse I have for this guy: He might be hovering more often, than walking, so he perhaps isn't so "top heavy" . . . think bird.

In that context he does look alot better. Still would like the mouth to actual look like a mouth...

Looking at that meg pic closer... those are only his legs and part of the arms. The head seems to be for scale reference. I doubt that's his head.

I like the way they look, with the autobots looking more smooth and rounded and the decepticons more sharp and rigid which looks kinda cool. I hate the flames on prime,would have been better if they made him look like your everyday truck and starscream looks too top heavy.

The Prime design is fine, because he looks like Prime, you look at that and think "Ok, its a ****ed up prime, but its still prime" Where as Starscream you look at him and go "Thats... Waspinator... I think... only after mating with Donkey Kong.... and... I guess a chicken too..." He's not recognizable. Every incarnation of Starscream has had the same head. His alt mode and colors may have changed, but his head stayed the same. If they aren't recognizable as the characters they're sposed to be, the design is a failure.

starscreams head looks like santa with a mawhawk. I still wish they got rid of the flames on prime, to be honest the whole vehicle looks too pimped. But in robot form he looks awesome.
