That Megatron 'manipulation' looks stupid, really stupid.

I wish people would just learn to except this isn't G1.

You're what? 15? 16? You have no idea what it's like to see something you LOVED in your childhood placed in a movie form that's not to your liking. YOu were what? a TMNT guy? Power Rangers?

TMNT has been treated damn faithfully on screen...Power Rangers...well they change so much it's no wonder kids these days don't understand loyalty to the originals.

Those of us expecting G1 are the ones who grew up with it and held it close to our hearts, and yes, while most of us admit that TOTAL G1 'bots would look foolish, there were MANY little things they could have done to be MORE G1 and keep those of us who hold that time and those characters from our childhood close to our heart.

Short list:
-No lips on Prime. He was fine with only the faceplate before, he could be fine now.
-Megatron transforming into some sort of cannon (like Galvatron)
-Megatron having an arm cannon
-Clear hatred between Starscream and Megatron
-More character personality (which would have made it an even better movie overall)
-Color design (OK Starscream had to be regular jet colors, BUT Ironhide? Rachet? Jazz? They all could have been their original colors of red, white, and white without messing with the plot)
-Flames on Prime??? Geez-la -fr**kin'-weez.


And those are just a few of the TINY things they could have changed to make it a little more G1 and possibly made many of us true fans happier and more accepting of it all, without our complains...but as it is, Bay ignored us for the most part and while we got a very good/decent movie, many of us still have something stuck in our craw of what could have been.

Next time try adding something constructive to the conversation as opposed to ripping our nostalgia and desire to not see our heroes effed with.

People like me huh?? Its a board for sharing our opinions, and my opinon is that it could have been better. I'm just sick of some freakin 10 year old telling me what I should think because THEY thought the movie was great and that I'm some kind of ass for not thinking its the greatest thing in the world.

Yugi has stated he's a young guy before...I'm assuming Superman79 knows that. So I don't think he's really calling him young as in immature. He's saying that G1 wasn't really in his era because of his young age.

regardless whether he knows his age or not...it's still demeaning and to call out a person because of their age. all he said was that people should realize that this isn't g1. it's not like he attacked g1.

Now, Yugi expressed an opinon on him not liking the look of that manip, cos, like me, his opinion is that it looked a bit ****e. Superman79 comes on some "Bay raped my childhood" flex with his response, straight flaming the kid, when, simply, Yugi said he thought that manip was stupid.

So, who's the one not respecting other peoples opinions?

Like I say, this is why I lurk about on this board, checkin out pictures, news, clips, reviews and all that, but try not to post, which I then go and do when I'm stoned and bored. Holla.

Actually, DF, I was genuinely asking his age. Much like nosebleed said in a later post, I was insinuating that he was unfamiliar with the connection we have with the original characters.

As for getting worked up, I apologize, I'm a little on edge these days, and being summarily dismissed because I wished for something a bit more faithful to the G1 Transformers kinda got to me.
