Its a slow process but Disney acts more brave with those topics, see Beauty and the Beast.

That is bull**** PR. There is nothing in the movie to indicate it. Similar to how in TROS, not only do they "no homo" Poe, they have a background gay kiss easily edited out for China. I fully look forward to see how much Disney makes Feige a liar with Eternals.

Came in here excited to say how great this looks but um... well. We get tons of movies with boys crushing on girls and vice versa and no one bats an eye but the mere speculation of two male leads in a movie being gay is sexualising? Get a grip, man.

Anyway, this looks way cuter than the past few Pixar projects. The animation and the designs are gorgeous. The story looks a lot of fun too. Can’t wait.

I'm surprised they've gone with two characters as sea creature, I would have gone with one human / 1 sea creature so you have that 'Fox & Hound' separation after the friendship is formed and dependency, bond is formed. Appreciate there's a female child in the gang too but we'll see how it all pans out.

Come on, Luca is a 13 year old kid. Can we not sexualise everything, especially children?!

First of all, relationships are more than just sex. Second of all humans begin having relationships and develop attraction to others before and during their teens. During their teens they can spend years in a single relationship or have multiple relationships without having sex even once.

There's not a thing wrong with a teenage character being gay in a film.

I kind of hate you Disney.

At the same time, Disney said its summer Pixar movie Luca will stream exclusively into Disney+ homes worldwide on June 18, which is what the studio did with Pixar’s Soul over Christmas. In international markets where Disney+ is not yet available, Luca will be released theatrically, with premiere dates to be announced.

Would have liked to see this in theaters as well as Soul but at least they're going to Disney+ for free and Luca is one that I'm okay with just watching at home.

It is interesting that they seem to see Pixar as a better draw to Disney+, rather than theatrical...

Darn, I did want to see this on the big screen. That said it will be free so I’m not gonna complain. Perhaps one day they’ll let AMC and Cinemark put it as a cheap summer re-release like they do with other animated movies. Also wondering if this means no physical dvd/blu ray/4K release.

Me too, but Soul just got a physical release today so I'm sure Luca will get one as well.
