Pixar's SOUL

I’m sure I’ll enjoy it even though a part of me still hates the black lead turned into some thing trope that seems to be present in animated movies. At least Miles is still human in Spiderverse. The animation is beautiful.

Yea everything looks amazing except the “soul” part. I would have liked it better if it was just him trying to find his passion in music without turning into whatever that thing is. The clips of him as an actual person look amazing

Basically they had to appeal to the kids. It didn't count with Coco because the main character was already a kid.

Can’t wait to watch it but I’ll wait for the bluray release in 3 months or so cause it looks like something I’ll actually want to own.

I had high expections on this and it didnt disappointed me. My favorit movie by far and the perfect release date. It touched really me. I love the look of the non-earth stuff.

I hope its coming for multiple Oscar nominations.

This might be one of the best Pixar movies I've seen in a long time, and that's saying something given Coco was released a few years ago. The fact that I couldn't tell where this movie was really going a lot after the first act is a major plus.

With how wretched this year has been, this movie is quite an inspiration to end 2020 on. God bless Pixar.

Definitely wasn’t what I expected. Thought it would be a straightforward “oh he’s a soul trying to get to the next life” story. And was annoyed that their first black lead was only black in the intro. But then it subverted my expectations.

This is such a great, feel good animated film to watch with the whole family. Loved it and man is it beautfully animated. Definitely one of the best Dinsey/Pixar films out there and one of my favortie films of this dismal year, although I do think it was still a pretty solid year for films overall.

That was a good flick!

Didn't love every storytelling decision but the execution was top notch and made most of it work, regardless.

Loved the music and how it was utilized in the storytelling. A LOT of fun ideas in the Great Before and the Zone. Most importantly, Gardner and 22 were well-realized characters.

Probably the best Pixar movie since Ratatouille, or at least Inside Out.

Just wanna know, is this gonna make people cry? I've alreadyw atched a super depressing Midnight Sky today, don't really want to feel like crying over the rest of the X-mas weekend lmao

I didn't cry, but others have. And Pixar has gotten me good before with Inside Out, Onward and Up.

I personally wouldn't call this movie depressing if you are not insecure with how you view success in life.

Should be nominated for Best Picture, but it won't because it's animated.

There’s a chance, but will it be a serious contender? Prolly not for reasons we know...

I didn’t and I can be pretty easy to get lol. I guess there’s a montage late in the film that might get you but idk.

Movie was very good. He was in his human form for a good portion of the movie but once again I’m waiting for the day when Disney and Pixar give me an animated black lead for a full film. Definitely a great film for the season and new year.
