Pixar's The Good Dinosaur

It's almost too predictable, as they always have these kind of easter eggs. They have to twist it somehow. Perhaps Rex will still be a toy dinosaur... for dinosaurs. :D Maybe Rex is the Buzz Lightyear of the Intelligent Dinosaur world?

It sounds like it could be tremendous fun. Dinosaurs don't usually do well. Neither do mute robots, so...

Pixar Announce Their 2014 & 2015 Films

By Garth Franklin Wednesday April 25th 2012 08:15AM
Disney•Pixar have issued a press release about their upcoming projects after "Brave" this year and "Monsters University" next year. In the process came a few new tidbits of information.
First up the previously untitled Bob Peterson-helmed dinosaur film now has a name, "The Good Dinosaur", and a release date of May 30th 2014. The premise is based on the idea that the cataclysmic asteroid that wiped out the giant dinosaurs didn't arrive - as a result they never became extinct.
Then there's first word on a new project from "Toy Story 3" director Lee Unkrich which is being described as a "wholly original Pixar Animation Studios film that delves into the vibrant holiday of Día de los Muertos". It currently has a "Dia de los Muertos" working title and rough 2015 date, however both could well change.
Finally the untitled Pete Docter-direct film has been pushed back a year to June 19th 2015. The only detail of the story is the same log line we've been hearing for some time - that the action will be set in the world inside the human mind.

I'm looking forward to this dinosaur movie from Pixar, and I've generally enjoyed all their movies (yes, even Cars), so as a movie studio they haven't done anything egregious yet. I also like the fact that both Pixar and Marvel have been able to churn out good movies even after their acquisition by Disney, which shows that Disney can really be hands-off and let these companies be themselves.

That Dinosaur movie sounds interesting but I'm really excited for that movie set inside the human mind.

Those upcoming Pixar movies look pretty promising.

Awesome. They sounds wonderful. Love the art styles of pixar

During a recent event at Le Moyne and Syracuse University, Thomas Newman revealed that he will provide the musical score for Disney/Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, says The Dolphin. This will mark Newman’s third collaboration with the studio, having provided Oscar-nominated scores for Finding Nemo and WALL-E. Directed by Bob Peterson, The Good Dinosaur tells of one boy’s friendship with his Apatosaurus pal in a modern world where dinosaurs never went extinct. The film will hit theaters May 30, 2014.

An all-star voice cast is set for Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur. Revealed this morning at Disney’s D23 animation panel, they are Raising Hope’s Lucas Neff as star dino Arlo, John Lithgow as Poppa and Frances McDormand as Momma. Arlo’s siblings will be voiced by Hader, Judy Greer and Neil Patrick Harris. John Lasseter also announced that a new Monsters University short film, Party Central, will premiere ahead of Good Dinosaur when it’s released next summer. Fans at today’s panel got a sneak peak at the short, about what happens when the monsters try to throw a frat party.
HIMYM father and son reunited.

Oh god I hope it's not like a frat party like the videos I've seen online. Very unPixarish!
