Pixar's The Good Dinosaur

2015 will supposedly be the first year that we get two Pixar films. Then again, they've told us that before...

Someone at Slashfilm thought the poster reminded them of this...

Matt Bomer's playing Cooper Anderson from Glee. He was in a fake ad. I don't watch the show, though.

I had a feeling your avy had to be from some sort of parody.

I remember arguing with my sister about which one of those covers we would buy, i believe i was successful in getting the little ant, the 2nd one of those covers

Pixar's "Good Dinosaur" Gets Re-Tooled

By Garth Franklin Monday August 18th 2014 10:29PM
This marks the first year in nearly a decade that hasn't seen the release of a Pixar animated feature. A big reason for that was due to the eighteen month delay of their proposed 2014 film "The Good Dinosaur".
At the time of the delay, the film's director Bob Peterson left the project and since then things have been dead quiet regarding the film. That is until today.
Actor John Lithgow did some voice work on the film a while back. In a new interview with Collider he confirms that due to the project being completely retooled, he will go in to record new dialogue some time in the next few weeks:
"I recorded the entire role in Good Dinosaur. They have now dismantled it and completely reimagined it, and it is a fantastic new story. So I'm gonna record again on it within the next month. Don't worry. It's coming and it's gonna be better than I ever imagined... But me and Frannie McDormand, we're still playing Momma and Poppa dinosaur"
It's unknown how many of the other previously-confirmed voice cast such as Judy Greer, Neil Patrick Harris, Bill Hader and John Ratzenberger will return to re-record their dialogue.

I bet they decided to gowith the dinosaurs in modern day angle after the backlash some fans gave. Which frankly is a much cooler concept.

I've lost track on this. Did the fanboys actually have legitimate concerns, or was it just the typical b****ing?

The original plot was having the saurs be intellectual while humans were all unga bunga.

Nice that they're keeping John Lithgow.

A little bit of trivia: He originally recorded the dialogue for Hades in Hercules but was replaced by James Woods.

Sohn Takes Charge Of Pixar's "Good Dinosaur"

By Garth Franklin Wednesday November 19th 2014 08:06AM
First-time feature director Peter Sohn has officially been announced as the director of Pixar's 2015 animated feature "The Good Dinosaur".
Sohn, an artist at the studio, unofficially took over the film a few months after the original director Bob Peterson was taken off the project amid creative concerns.
For much of the past year, Sohn has been quietly streamlining the story and making changes to what's been described as a "buddy comedy about a teenage dinosaur and a human boy".
As in the earlier incarnation, an asteroid never hit the Earth and the dinosaurs never went extinct. Cut to today when a teenage Apatosaurus named Arlo takes a wild, young human boy named Spot as a pet.
Sohn has jettisoned some of Peterson's ideas and added new elements, such as nature being the film's antagonist. Sohn tells The Los Angeles Times: "The heart of the story remains the same. It's always been about this young dinosaur growing up. But the world itself has changed a lot. Nature has become a character."
'Dinosaur' marks the fourth of the studio's last eight films to see a directorial swap, though this one took a major toll. A rather large eighteen month release delay left Pixar without a film to open this year, and pushed its other films like "Finding Dory" back.
"The Good Dinosaur" is slated to open next November.

Sohn is a cool guy, he voiced Squishy and Emile.

Oh god, the feels from those descriptions...

Can't wait for this one.

I love me some dinosaurs.

Looks pretty cute. It looks more like up than the latest batch of Pixar films which is promising

I'm even more excited for this than I am for Inside Out. I've always wanted to see a dinosaur movie from Pixar.

Even though this is a completely different type of movie, i love how they are cashing in on the Dinosaur attention that Jurassic World's premiere is creating. Clever.
