There's no need to alter Ivy so dramatically. Ivy as an ecoterrorist is perfectly reasonable in Nolan's world.

You don't have to have giant plant monsters, but some variation on the venus fly trap as being somewhat deadly to humans as a new genus she creates would be plausible.

Rachel Nichols is so hoooooooooooot... :heart: She gets my vote as Ivy.

As for Ivy's portrayal in the film, she should be a university botanist turned eco-terrorist. Given how many environmental loonies are out there in this day and age, the concept wouldn't be all that far removed from reality. She could have an affinity for poisoning people using plant poisons and have an acute knowledge of deadly plants, however I think she'd translate pretty well even if she doesn't have any kind of actual plant powers (or at least none that are confirmed within the movie). She could just be a hot, psycho tree hugger who wants to return to nature.

How about this idea. Just to give a little nod to the comic Ivy. Big monster plants are unrealistic, but what if they have some new sort of fear toxin that makes the plants look like they're moving, really big, and deadly?

That could be interesting. Maybe they could haven go so far as to have her cultivating her own hybrid of the blue flowers from Batman Begins?

Oh yeah, and perhaps to add a little bit of a double meaning to Ivy's name, perhaps at one point she could kill someone by disguising herself as a nurse, and then injecting one of her poisons into their IV drip while they're in a hospital bed. "Poison IV."

LOL! Its a little too much like the other Nolan Bat films though. Well, then again, so is the fear toxin idea.

It could be a bit different in that her variety of the flowers grow larger, and they naturally emit some of their toxin into the air under certain circumstances. She could have been so frequently exposed to it though that she's built up a natural inoculation to the toxin in its natural state.

Oh yeah, and just for a bit of fanservice, maybe there could be a scene where she walks around her garden in the buff. Nothing more than what a PG-13 rating would allow, but hey, why not?

I personally don't think she is a good enough of an actress for a Nolan movie, but she has the look, though.
