Yes, cause Dark Phoenix will be the last CINEMA MOVIE about mutants.

With Disney we will have another standard TV-like movie with no vision/art at all.

(if Kinberg has not decided to lower the movie to MCU level already with DP)

Dark phoenix is last film of x-men cinematic universe.and last time any film with x-men characters will have any darkness or seriouness or any themes
underneath it.

whenever any x related characters are used again it will be in family friendly comedys with none of that.haters of x-men cinematic universe have won.

18000 posts and are they all like this?

We are already getting that with The New Mutants.

Sorry, but you seems to confuse low-budget and media-language.

Practically all the best movies in history are low-budget (at least the best 100 movies ever)

as a low-budget can be a messy, of course.

The first Avengers is a big-budget tv-like: Whedon has nothing to do with cinema-language and works at the big screen with the same eyes, pacing and deep that he use in tv.
(oddly, his fantastic run on Astonishing X-Men is very cinematic. So maybe with higher pressure of the movie he prefers please the audience's will that give them his own will: that is the worst defeat in arts)

This isn’t even gonna happen. So I’m not gonna bother answering.

Theonly tv like in the Avengers is the aspect ratio which is similar to the New Mutants' aspect ratio, but the other than that, it looks more expensive than most of the X-Men movies made by Fox. And at least that one was made for over $200 million...

Again. Be (or looks) expensive has nothing to do with to be cinematic.

MCU has plenty of “Cinematic” movies, people can like them or hate them, but they do have them.

Like Snyder, I don’t like his storytelling overall, but visually the man knows how to frame a movie.

I’ll see all of them as I always do. This deal doesn’t change that.

I remember just a couple of months ago there were a fair few members claiming X-Men would NEVER return to Marvel. Fun times.

Seems as good a place as any for the Fox universe to die. Marvel will inherit a mainline franchise that has retired its original cast already, and can bin off the terrible prequel series. You'd lose McAvoy and Fassbender but I'd sacrifice a recast to focus on other characters at this point. Marvel can continue on with Deadpool (no doubt acknowledging the studio move in dialogue), potentially follow up with New Mutants if it turns out well. Nothing to suggest either of those couldn't be folded in to continuity (however they decide to do it).

I look forward to Dark Phoenix for editing purposes, but Apocalypse was Fox's 2nd chance blown for me. Bring on the new.

Yeah there has to be a lot of crow to go around.

"We'll never see sentinels in X-Men, they don't fit in with the serious tones"

"We'll never see aliens with X-Men, it's too ridiculous"

"Deadpool is a niche characters that the GA won't get"

"An R rated Wolverine will never happen, stop asking for it"

"We'll never have an X-Men tv show, cause Marvel won't allow it"

"Disney will never have X-Men"

Lol. Not going to happen.

Are you talking about that $60B deal that MSNBC said could be announced as early as next week? Sorry, but the Murdochs ain't putting the toothpaste back in the tube. They're making out like bandits in the deal.

It's totally happening.:mnm:

I plan on seeing Deadpool 2. I plan on skipping New Mutants and Dark Phoenix. That was true before the sale (assuming it happens), and it will be true after.
