Popular movies that you hate

I will defend The Godfather, and to a lesser extent LOTR, until the day I die.

Also love V for Vendetta.

But I hate Bring It On.

Can't stand the following

Fight Club
Batman 89
Batman Returns
Batman Forever
Batman & Robin
Anything by Will Ferral
Anything by Adam Sandler
Anything directed by Michael Bay
All of the 2000's horror movies
Electra
Fantastic Four
Ghost Rider
Blade Runner
BrokeBack Mountain
Chicago

-Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones: attack on my patience as a fan, is more like it.
-Norbit: sweet baby Jesus, please incinerate all the copies of this film.
-Happy Feet: no, sad feet- that was me shuffling my way out of this travesty.
-The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement: I was hoping by the 30 minute mark that it was over. I was wrong.
-Blades of Glory: the sad part was that no one was killed on set, as this film may have been halted.
-Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy: Will Ferrell drops another bomb on the bunker that is my sanity.
-Spider-Man 3: one of the most severe disappointments in my cinematic experience.
-Not Another Teen Movie: a movie worth shooting the screenwriter for.
-Epic Movie: the product of too much alcohol and not enough weed.
-Scary Movie 3 and 4: the product of too much weed and not enough alcohol.
-Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest: when a giant vagina spewing mucus is the highlight, something is terribly wrong.
-Titanic: your heart won't go on if you call this a good film in my general vicinity.
-Anything Adam Sandler has ever made.
-Anything Ben Stiller has ever made.
-Die Another Day: Brosnan's swansong of infinite pain.
-I, Robot: the missing footage from this film is Will Smith urinating on Issac Asimov's grave.
-X-Men 3: The Last Stand: the last stand Avi Arad hit before cashing in his dignity at the bank for more cash.
-Alien vs. Predator: a film so child-friendly I would feel comfortable bringing my kids to it.
-The Resident Evil films: someone needs to take Anderson out of the picture and call Romero.

But the all-time worst for me? Has to be Perfect Blue. Ghost in the Shell was a good film. Perfect Blue is what happens when people on drugs try to make a cerebral thriller after watching it. Perfect Blue was such a waste of my time I felt like watching Titanic to get the bad taste it left out of my mouth.

Sucky movies suck. :down

I'm not the biggest Titanic fan,but I do admire it,it is a good film.I agree with everything else though.

Two 'popular' titles that come to mind are the Lord of the Rings movies and the Star Wars movies. Regardless of how much $$$ these movies have made and how beloved they are by their faithful fans, I have heard numerous people state that they hate these movies. I am not surprised though since they are in the sci-fi and fantasy genres.

For me, personally, I don't like the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I only saw part of the first one and it left me with no desire to see the rest of it or either of the sequels. I found Johnny Depp's character extremely annoying and foolish.

The Spiderman movies are nothing special in my opinion. I don't hate them but I definitely think they have been unjustly hyped.

There is actually a healthy amount of people around these parts who not only like them but are fans of Anderson's rape of the storyline. :csad:

potc

the departed - what the hell did i just watch there? one long scene of "i think theres a rat in my group/the force."

I thought all the ones in black were not popular...

Yep adam sandler truely sucks major anus.

Adam Sandler only went downhill after Little Nicky...all his latter films suck and are for some reason popular. I hate Halloween and all the old slasher flicks...they are just so boring and are the same thing every single time.

Amen!!!

Also Matrix 2+3
Harry Potter
The Thing
POTC 2+3

May I ask why you didn't like The Thing? I'm rather fond of it. In a medium where things like Hostel 2, H2O, Jason X, the Chucky sequels and Freddy vs. Jason are considered good cinema The Thing stood out as something original...at least, to me.

Ugh. I almost forgot about the last two...Jason X and Freddy vs. Jason: the ultimate trash offered by horror films as a genre. Just when I was on the road to recovery.

Freddy vs. Jason is a fantastic film made by fans for the fans. It never takes itself as a serious horror film.

All this hate on good movies makes me wonder what films you do like.

I love plenty of good films...but Freddy vs. Jason is not one of them. Next thing you'll tell me is that I need to be nice to Jason X...and then you'd be speaking crazy.

...

I still can't believe you wrote down "Freddy vs. Jason" and "fantastic film" in the same sentence. I'm more afraid of what your tastes are like.

All Superman Films
Napoleon Dynamite
Harry Potter
Lord of the Rings
Shrek
Incredibles
Wedding Crashers
All Adam Sandler Movies

Most kubrik movies, especially a Clockwork Orange and the Shining. I do like Full Metal Jacket though.
Scary Movie films - can't stand them...
Scream 2,3 - the first was a decent thriller in the guise of a horror movie thought it was a good stand alone film, adding to it ruined the whole idea (imo)
Disney movies from (and including) the Little Mermaid on. (with a few exceptions..like Lilo and Stitch)
there's more...i know it, just can't think right now.

No, Jason X sucked hard.

FvsJ is a fantastic film if you're a guy who loves Freddy or Jason. It's just cool to see them battling it out.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I just lose intrest halfway through.

Into the first film, or the trilogy itself?

I can sort of understand...it's really hard to keep interest at times due to the fact that they can become so cerebral and character-driven for long tracks of time. But hate?

The "Frat Pack" movies

Knocked Up (since when did having an un-expected pregnancy with a fugly stranger become means for comedy? Go get 'knocked up' yourself, then we'll see how funny you think it is.)

CFE
Dude, seriously, did you watch this movie? Because I honestly think you didn't. The "knocked up" part wasn't supposed to be funny. The situations that developed were (and some where not, and that is where the movie scored. It was relatable to everyone that's been in a relationship.) I know I won't change your mind, I'm just wondering and gave my two cents.

"The Girl Next Door", and only saw it because an ex-girlfriend guilt-tripped me into it. Never seen it again, and have absolutely no desire to.........ever.
