The Dark Knight Post Pictures of things that you dont want to see in 'The Dark Knight'

That really was a dodgy pic, and in the middle of the street, the criminals will never take them seriously now.

Batman: "Somtimes you just can't get rid of a bomb"

I don't know if that's right quote from Batman: The Movie (1966)

Yep I heard that a while ago. Can there not be a switch that just takes out large bodies of water in the pipes that arent mixed with blood etc? Easy.

LOL! Amazing! :D
Right. The microwave emitter had an "Easy Button." How'd I miss that?

Well someone else mentioned this and it seems that Batman Returns had a glider similar to Begins and it at least brought the stuntman to the ground it looks like. And even if its a stretch, the naked eye doesnt care, so yes, realism isnt taken, unless someone has studied a field far too much compared to an average person ;) Theyre always figuring out different things anyway, look how small a cellphone is nowadays. This is what sells this illusion.

It's increasingly obvious that you have a very loose grasp on physics.

No, but there are armies of terrorists that punish the degredation of culture.

Which terrorists are they, exactly? Because the only ones I see in the news lash out for religious reasons, not socio-political. They feel they have a god-given right to kill because their victims are of another faith or race, which also serves as the reason for the attack.

Sorry, off-topic.

I didnt know the police hated Gordon. Theres no evidence of that. In fact Loeb talked to him like an equal when he told Gordon "theres nobody left to send in" i felt.

'K, I'll give you that one. I'm reading between the lines, influenced by the cops' attitudes in Batman: Year One, where Flass and his buddies beat the tar out of Gordon, with Loeb's blessing. I guess in the flick they do just treat him like another cop. Be that as it may, it's not realistic for the police to advertise the condoning and utilization of a criminal in their investigations and arrests. That was my point.

Once again I feel these are such petty things that it doesnt constitute a straight up comic. 3 out of 4 of those are simply "what ifs" in a real world, and i really dislike it being always thrown into the bin of nonsense of comic books just because there are these "what ifs". This does not mean to saturate the film with silliness of escaping institutions always. I dont see the correlation.

Yeah i didnt touch that part heh.. i thought that was cool, although beside the point lol

The 'nonsense' of comics is what makes them what they are, what we love. The correlation is that super-hero comic books are the new myths and legends. Many are filled with symbols and metaphor. They're also escapist fantasies, so confining them to what is believable is unnecessary, again, as long as the right tone is kept constant.

So, you see, it wasn't besides the point. But I'm glad you liked it. :)

We really wont get anywhere here sir. I conclude with "if you say so" ;)

You're right. I just felt compelled to respond. It's been a fun debate, but it's over.

-- END!

oh, Batmite, i never want to see him in live action, i heard rumers that he was going to appear in joel schumacher's next film after Batman & Robin.

You know Id actually beleive that.

i'd love to say im making it up but its true, then he realised B & R wasent well recieved so moved onto the idea of 'year one'

so what would be next if ol Batnipples had his way? The Batussi? The BatBomb? Adam West as Bats older persona when he revamps the Dark Knight? While Im not prone to violence I still feel the urge to find Shoelicker and stomp him a new hole. Bat-mit!!? C'mon!!!!!!!

i know watching batman 89 then batman and robin its hard to belive there both part of the same franchise. can u imagine batmite, schumacher is a good director on other films, but he really has no idea about batman. i heard everyday on the set of filming of batman & robin before a take he would tell the actors.
'remember everybody its just a comic book'

it may be a comic book but not to be confused with richie rich or scooby doo, he made the franchise into a laughing stock, if he had his way and made the third, with bat-mite it would have been one more so than it already was, like i said, joel shumacher really had no idea.

lol that style has some potential to do great things, but a sharper edge of terrible things.

Wow. It sounds like you dont really even like comic books at all. Then why should you even care what becomes of a comic book adaptation? The fact is, these are comic book movies and they are made so that comic book fans can see their favorite characters broughht to life. This doesn't mean it has to be like the BAM POW ZIFF comics of the 60s, but it should still resemble the tone and style of comics of today (which Batman Begins did).

Burton's penguin version won't be in Nolan's Batman movies.
