Power Rangers 3.0

Well...this is how i solved the issue of the Turbo Rangers, MMPR, Zeo Rangers:

T.J., last time we saw him, was back to being Red Turbo Ranger. Justin also as has access to a Turbo Morpher thanks to Mountain Blaster (PRiS episode); I'd assume the cars or "someone" has duplicates (Let's not forget the Turbo Robots). I'd would've had T.J. and Justin recruit new members to be Green, Yellow and Pink. A new Turbo team for the teamup.

For Zeo I'd have Rocky, Tanya, and Kat assume those powers once again. Adam would re-assume the Green Zeo Rangers identity. I'd recast David Trueheart (Tommy's brother) and have him be the new Red Zeo Ranger.

Jason would be Power Red and Zach would assume Power Black. Depending on whether Amy Jo and David did or didn't come back, I'd have new characters assume Blue, Yellow and Pink as well.

I doubt, Saban could payroll all those past Rangers to make multiple cameos and guest appearances. I'd like to see him try though.

Ya it would be nice if he can get at least one or two people from each seasons. The if they do the war thing and use the pre power rangers powers just a bunch of extra/bit actors. Then we see the powers used by pirate rangers and go from there.

Wow, so many great pics from the movie. I have to say this is shaping up to be quite possibly the greatest VS movie ever made, and just might surpass my new favorite, Goseiger vs Shinkenger, when it is released. I esp. love the appearances of senshis like Deka Master, Deka Swan, Magi Mother, and female ShinkenRed. The appearance of Abaranger (along with Abarekiller!) is also a very pleasant surprise.

Oh yeah. Abarekiller never died in this universe.

This is the teamup verse.

I believe that Abarekiller (along with other dead senshis) really did die in their respective series, but probably got resurrected by AkaRed and brought in through space & time continuum to help them win the war against the Empire. It hasn't been fully explained yet but I think it is the most plausible explaintation.

Well no. Abarekiller was in the Aba/Deka teamup.

In sentai, the teamup universe is a separate universe from the shows itself. Gokaiger is the first series to exclusively take place there. AkaRed exists in this teamup verse too.

In sentai, each series is it's own universe (like Kamen Rider), but there's also a separate teamup universe where all the teams exist (with different histories of course).....hence why all the 'dead' heroes are alive again.

Well, if you have seen Abaranger vs Dekaranger movie, you'd know that Abarekiller was indeed dead, but got resurrected accidentally. His spirit faded away at the end of the movie, so he did stay dead. While it may be true that Gokaiger exists within this movie universe, that doesn't mean it automatically disown any continuity from other series in their universe.

So I have to say, there is a lot of hate for PR: Samurai right now, but I watched the two newer episodes, Here Comes the Brides and whatever the one where Blue gets turned evil and I think despite a few changes, they were excellent adaptions of the Shinkenger counterparts. The acting was an improvment too as well. I'm really surprised what they have kept. Despite the stupid puns some of the monsters make, they left Dayu as Dayu, and although Deker is renamed, he actually has the sword named Uramasa and it almost carbon copy Juuzou from Shinkenger. Really hoping they tie him into Cole instead of keeping him a new character, but if they don't, its ok because I never would have realized that was Richard Medina.

Even old Power Rangers had similar traps and conventions. I feel the show has opened up in the past couple of episodes and I've liked them more.

I'm still surprised Deker has Juuzo's trait of finding the ultimate warrior.

I like Sentai and appreciate Power Ranger's but even I think they're literally taking Shinkenger word for word/character trait for character trait.

It wasn't this bad during Time Force and Wildforce. Cole wasn't a veterinarian
and Jen's parent's weren't killed by a monster.

Maybe Saban was able to mask the similarities better or maybe it's because i've seen Shinkenger already.

Times have changed. We are older now and we have access to all these things at the drop of a hat. It takes like 5 seconds to watch Japanese sentai versions subtitled now if you have an internet connection.

A lot of us have watched Shinkenger and it's fresher in our minds.

I think the problem with PR Samurai is that while they have changed the personality of the rangers, such as Jayden (who's not a lord and is alot less of a lone wolf than Takeru was), but they adapt Shinkenger so closely that those characters are shoehorn into the storyline of their sentai counterparts. That's why some episode feels weird and out-of-place. Mike isn't as much a rebel as Chiaki was (and he doesn't have reason to be), but they made him into one anyway; and Mia took Mako's dreams about becoming a bride and maternal instincts and went a bit overboard with those traits. Kevin is like Ryunnosuke but without any self-depreciation nor have any particular reason for his loyalty toward Jayden (unlike Ryunnosuke who believed in the fealty he sworn to Takeru). Emily is a bit like Kotoha, but whereas Kotoha had self-doubt and self esteem issues, she has none of these problems. Anyway, personally I still don't really like PR Samurai, but hopefully the show will improve esp. after the introduction of the Gold Samurai.

I can't wait to see 199 heroes movie. Also, I got my Ranger Key Set 01 in the mail yesterday.

These keys are really neat. I'm not sure I wanna collect them all though but I'd like a good chunk of the keys by the time Gokaiger ends. My next purchase might be GokaiOh if I can get some more money.

Ranger Key set 02 was up for preorders but it quickly went to "Order Stop"

I know people are already wondering how Saban could adapt Gokaiger, but I'm also wondering how Saban will approach the Dice-O card gimmick of Goseiger if and/or when they decide to adapt Goseiger. Would we see similar card game machines in arcades and malls in America like how it was done in Japan?

Do they really need to include that stuff for gosei adaption?

I think Bandai of America would be foolish to not capitalize on a card-based Power Rangers game. I would imagine it to be like Pokemon cards all over again

I ordered Gokaioh and Magi Dragon DX from HlJ. They have been on backorder for a few weeks now, put in the order for it about two weeks ago. Really hoping to see it come in soon, but with everything going on in Japan, I doubt it will be. Really looking forward to getting these though. Hope that the Pirate Ship turns out as cool as it is in the show. Holding off on the changers and such, but really wish I could get a japanese sushi changer from Shinkenger. Genta was the best on that show, and I loved his specialized changer.

I just paid for my GokaiOh from AmiAmi today. I was also able to get a Sushi Changer off of Ebay a few months ago for a pretty damn good price. I'm not sure if that seller still has his extra Sushi Changers up for sale though.

EDIT:
I found a bunch of listings of Sushi Changers on Ebay. I bought the one from hkricky2002

I'm still thinking about buying a ShinkenRed Figurart, and I heard that they are available from AmiAmi. But I'm also wary of its fragile parts and the tendency to break apart, so I'm taking a wait-and-see approach for now.

I bought one and for me it wasn't fragile.

I snagged Shinken Gold from HLJ before they ran out of stock. AmiAmi should have some too.

That's good to know, but I'll take another look at the prices and decide if I should buy it. I'm in a process of selling some of my toy collections and that would give me the money once they are sold.
