Yeah that was totally bunk, I mentioned that in my review of the episode. True it "kind of" worked out for him, but that was still a bonehead move for him to make.

Also, shirtless Troy? Really? We need that in a kids show?

Danny Slavin's abs say yes

Is it true that JDF originally auditioned for the role of the Red Ranger in MMPR?

I dont think so. He was originally the VR Troopers main guy before they decided to use him for PR instead.

Frank originally auditioned for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in the pilot as the Red Ranger. He later tried-out again in 1993 when he was 19. He was cast in the role of Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger. His character later became the White Ranger.

Frank was supposed to be the lead character Adam Steele in VR Troopers (originally called "Cybertron") and shot a pilot episode before being called back to Power Rangers. According to both Frank and Brad Hawkins, Hawkins was to replace Frank originally as the White Ranger on Power Rangers. However, due to Frank's popularity with Ranger fans, he was brought back as the White Ranger again. Hawkins would take over on VR Troopers. The character, Adam Steele was renamed Ryan Steele.

I don't think kids could handle that much more awesomeness if Brad Hawkins were the white ranger.

His voice alone was awesome as the gold zeo ranger

no...what sucks is that WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE EPISODES TO RETURN!!! They should've just played Super Megaforce straight through as PENNACE for what they did with Megaforce!

As much as I hate to say it, judging by what's developed since last season, I'm not expecting much. The 20 episode per season standard seems to have really killed any potential story development. :csad:

especially when they break it up with SUCH LONG HIATUSES!!!!

The breaks are beyond ridiculous. Spend more time during the year with the show in reruns than in airing new episodes.

Agreed

P.S I wonder what PR history would have been like if JDF would have gotten the role of the original Red Ranger?

looks like The Rangers are back in comic books

@SHOUT! FACTORY CONFIRMS KYORYU SENTAI ZYURANGER DVD RELEASE!
| July 25, 2014

For the first time ever, Super Sentai will be heading to North American shores. ShoutFactory via Twitter just confirmed they will be bringing Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger to DVD.

We all know Zyuranger as the series that would later be adapted into Mighty Morhpin Power Rangers, the series first aired on February 21st 1992, the series was about five ancient warriors awoken from suspended animation in present time to fight the witch Bandora and her magical creations.

Currently, not much information is known about this release other than it will contain subtitles. Hopefully, we’ll be hearing more news from Shout! Factory as SDCC is currently on going.

Of course, there’s always a possibility that Shout! Factory could release more Sentai state side on DVD, so please let’s all do our part to make sure this release is a success!

I had like the first 10-20 issues of the MMPR comics...

I just started watching Zyuranger on Youtube.I think I'll wait for the DVD release to finish it.

I certainly hope that this is all it should be for Super Sentai fans; reasonable prices and beautifully packaged seasons. If so I am definitely on board.

When is the Legendary War going to air? It's been shot FOREVER ago.

The second half of the season is coming back on the 30th. So if the Legend War is the last episode or two, it would be end of October or November 1st.

Off topic, I think Amy Miller's Trakeena was/is the hottest female villain in PR history.

I used to have such a crush on her when PRLG was on.

Best thing about Trakeena, unlike most female PR villains, she didn't turn good at the end. :palps:
