I'm not sure of that but it could.

Promotional images. I thought they could have been a little more creative with Gosei instead of just a giant version of the morpher on a wall

Notice the ranger key's on each side of the first picture! As you know, they play a very important role in "Gokaiger"

Also the amount of names ported over from "Goseiger" is staggering IMO

-Their mentor is called "Gosei"

-Their morpher is the Gosei Morpher

-The robotic aid who will come later is called "Tensou". In Goseiger it was Datas

-Megazord is called "Gosei Great Megazord" Megaforce just added Megazord to the end

-Roboknights megazord is the "Gosei Grand Megazord"

-Gosei Great + Gosei Grand = Gosei Great Grand Megazord

-Final zord is called "Gosei Ultimate" megazord

-Villain group is still the "Warstar"

-Metal Alice name remains the same
As someone who has seen a number of Goseiger episodes, this looks to have even less changes than Samurai did, and Samruai was the first PR series that really kept the narrative of the original for the most part.
I have to wonder if they'll adapt the Shinkenger/Goseiger crossover film. That was a really awesome movie.

I always thought that dubious honor belonged to Time Force or Wild Force. But it did seem like Samurai stuck to the Sentai plot more than any series before it.

Just a reminder that Megaforce will debut this Saturday on Nickelodeon

A whole blitz of information on Kyoryuger has been revealed these last few days

They will fight the Devoss Army (Devoss Gun in japanese) led by Chaos, the 100-face Priest (Hyakumen Shinkan Chaos). Their goal is to revive Devoss, an entity of which each general of the army seems to a part.

The army is composed of :

Dogold, Knight of Anger
Candelilla, Knight of Joy
Aigaron, Knight of Sadness
Luckyuro, Knight of Fun
Each of these generals will be able to create DevoMonsters to fight the Kyoryuger. The Zori He will also have a giant form called Kyodai Zori He (Giant Zori Soldier).

Torin, the Wise God (Kenshin Torin) is the Kyoryuger’s mentor. They will live in a place made of stones called Spirit Base.

So far no original footage of the Legend War yet. They just cut out the pre-Zyu teams.

Although if you nitpick, you can see FivePink in one scene

the call backs to MMPR are very present. Even moreso than samurai

Very cool.

Oh wow talk about trying to recreate the original. Though could they not just bring in an Alpha? Get an actual talking head, quality action figures, and original head villian that looked decent? Feels like we are just going backwards instead of fowards.

Zordon reference! Though where has this guy been the past 10 years?

Man... Black's and Blue's poses look so fruity...

I was wondering the same thing.

Dead actually. In Space ended with the Red Ranger "killing" Zordon, which released his life force as an energy wave that either destroyed all the villains or purified them, ala Rita and Zedd. Rita even shows up as the goddess of good magic or something later on in one of the Disney seasons.

I wonder if the original MMPR can combine their coins to bring back Zordon like they did before.

Megaforce feels like a reboot of MMPR.I felt like I watched a 2013 Day of The Dumpster. They even had the same joke at the end of the episode.I must say it was fun though.

I know some people weren't crazy about it, but I'm really excited about the prospect of Gokaiger being a carry over, like the MMPR through the seasons and eventually transitioning into Zeo. I've been missing the format since Lost Galaxy ended.

They were talking about Gosei.

I watched the episode and I liked it. Don't really like the looks of Gosei and Tensou, but I think I can get used to it.

The acting was... okay, I guess. The guy playing Troy needs some serious improving however.

Jake is already my favorite character. "HEY, what do you think you're doin'?!" cracked me up :woot:

I liked the references to the previous seasons and especially MMPR, but they could've toned it down a little. If they try to make this MMPR 2.0, they'll fail. Nothing can beat the original for me.

I realized that after I typed the post. Totally read the posts wrong.

Got around to the first episode, not a bad start, but man they were trying to invoke MMPR. Being Season 20 though, this feels about right.

Really disappoints me though that we had basically zero original good guys or bad guys to be introduced to. Dont spend to much money now Saban. And I hate their giant morphers.

I can get used to the morphers, it's Gosei being a gigantic morpher that I don't like.

And where do they store the morphers? Do they appear out of thin air or do they store them behind their back or something? If they appear out of nowhere, they could've at least added a nice effect, like teleportation.

Anyway, I hope to find out more about Gosei's background, I'm intrigued by the whole 'mentor Zordon' thing :yay:

Oh and I really don't like the theme-song. It starts promising, but then that stupid version of 'Go Go Power Rangers' begins. Sigh. "Power Rangers forever, Megaforce all together"? Seriously? Not to mention that the singer sounds as if he has a meatball stuffed down his throat. And get rid of the stupid name-calling. If they want to use 'Go Go Power Rangers', then do it good. Otherwise, stay away from it.

Okay...first off...it's been a while since I've sat down and watched a PR premiere...that being said...

-the homages to MMPR are tolerable but hopefully they were all just for the premiere

-I'm glad that they wrote a connection between Gosei and Zordon, it adds continuity and makes sense (it's funny I had thought up an idea that Gosei, Zordon and Ninjor were three of the Morphin' Masters referenced in an ep MMPR; since Z and Ninjor are gone and inactive, Gosei had to step up; funny that it somewhat played out like that..lol)

-the villains are too basic for me; I miss having original villains (ie. Astronema, Ransik) mixed in with the "Sentai" villains; I also hope we get some background on these and the other villains to come

-these Rangers definitely appeal more to me than PRS; their acting is amateur but better than the PRS cast and they'll get better as they sink into their characters

-I like that not all of the Rangers are martial arts proficient; it leaves room for development and I hope Gia and Troy will help train them throughout the series

-Sentai footage is sentai footage...what's to be said...

Overall, it was a standard, solid beginning to a season I might tune into...this was the series I anticipated PRS to be.

-A couple of side notes: the actress who portrays Emma is almost a dead ringer for Maggie Q; I miss two-part season premieres...I think if it were a two-parter it would establish the characters and villains better and build better tension towards them becoming Rangers...that's it for me! Felt nice to be into PR again...

Of all the post Zordon era villains, Trakeena {from Power Rangers Lost Galaxy} is my favorite.
