So did anyone watch "Clash of the Red ranger's" over the weekend?

I watched it yesterday. I thought it turned out to be a decent episode, some better acting out of the samurai cast. And if it was eka or a sound alike they did put in the effort to get him to sound the same. Yes it sucked it was only red and he was morphed the whole time. But i did like they at least had a semi logical reason for him being in suit the whole time, plus giving a placement for rpm within the rest of the power rangers universe as a whole.

I actually was just able to pick up Shinken Gold today for the discounted price. Totally awesome. These figures are awesome and they come with tons of show accurate accessories. Fantastic sculpting and paint apps too.

Here is what is confusing to me. What happened to Antonio in this episode? Was Steven Skyler fired?

Also the explanation why Scott couldn't de-morph didn't make any sense. If he and other humans have to live in domes in his world, why is he worried about breathing air in the Samurai dimension? While we do have some pollution, clearly he could see humans here are able to breathe the air. A better way to fix this is to say in our world are physiology is different and the air here might be toxic to me.

no he was not fired according to folks over at RB the special was shot at the end of the series production or a short time after things were wrapped up for regular production. Which finished around june or so. It was stated that skyler/antonio wasnt apart of filming and he was busy recording a album and that is why he wasnt there.

As for the show reason for scott morphed the whole time. I didnt think it was to bad. The best way I can explain it is this:

Did you ever see the scifi show sliders. When they picked up the character maggie who came from a different dimension. When they slide into the original's group original dimension. She had problems being able to breath in that dimension. It wasnt to after a few more slides and a couple more months of sliding where she was able to breath. Then also on same flipside when they brought in the characters mallory and diana in the final season. We learned there brains functions were flipped from ours. Which lead to problems with diana when she got electro shock theapy. So i Just take it different biological systems between scott's dimension humans and prime power rangers dimension humans.

webhead2006, as I said, he should've simply stated that such and such device stated that our physiology is different so the air in this atmosphere might be toxic to me or are lung organs are more sensitive in our dimension, yada yada yada. It wasn't a very good or sensical explanation.

And it's probably because they do all this union rules so they couldn't get the other actors from RPM who are probably union now or so I've been reading.

They should've had the whole RPM team to make it really worth watching.

That said, I think the special did have some good direction and storytelling that was above the usual in terms of PR: Samurai. And I actually liked the villain henchmen in these episodes. They seemed like a step above the rather innocuous Nyloks from the earlier episodes that would constantly rhyme BS out. The new bad guys like General Gut et al actually seem kind of cool and their voices don't grate on my ears like Octoroo and the earlier Nylok who were all highlighted in the Halloween special.

well we do have to remember first and firstmost the show is geared towards kids. So a simplifed reason like cant breath gets away with it for the little kiddies. Where us older 20somethings/30somethings can get into more debates about thats stuff.

As for the other rpm rangers most likely reasons yes probably was union but there was also reports saban folks contacted some and others where not contacted. So the ones they contacted could have declined for all we know. Which lead to reworking the vs footage with more footage to fill time up since others were not used.

As for voices actually pretty much all the guys we have heard voicing monsters have been pretty much the nz stable of voice talents who have worked on power ranger series since the NZ move with NZ. Which is good and bad. There has been some good ones and some bad ones.

Well my point is I like these new monsters that it looks like Xandred has added to his stable. Now it's pretty obvious that this special was sort of shown out of order and we were seeing characters that have yet to formally been introduced. Dekker is "gone" and Ayu has seemingly left Xandred's employ. He now has new henchmen and generals hanging out with him on his boat. These characters have IMHO more interesting designs and I think their voice work and dialogue is considerably better than the monsters we've seen and heard in Samurai so far.

I was sort of getting tired of just Xandred, Ayu, and Octoroo oh and those annoying little things that pop down from the ceiling.

I know this show is geared at kids, but some of the things the monsters would say is freaking mind-numbingly bad and doesn't make any sense. Not to mention that they talk in rhymes! We get it dude, you guys are monsters and want to make the senzu river rise. You don't need to rhyme **** out. It doesn't make you sound more evil.

Well the problem with samurai is they had problems with casting stage and early into production. So just cause samurai isn't the best. Doesn't really show how future seasons will be like. Each series are totally different beasts. Another thing I hope future series don't get spilt into two tv seasons. And aired as one full block like they are shot as and consistant airings.

All White and Pink Gokai Changes!

The pink change has sort of been a theory/want list ever since Gokaiger's concept was revealed.

We'll probably never see this in Power Ranger's.
