i re-watched AvP2, its been on FX a lot, and I agree that the guy in the pred suit was really getting the hang of it, could of used him in Predators.

Yeah, despite what people think of the movie, I thought Ian Whyte was much improved and in fact pretty damn great in Pred, best since Pred 2 for me, and wasnt bettered in Predators, though non of those guys did bad either.

I like Ian. He was good in AvP even. I never minded him. I just think the Wolf is a ******. But that hs nothing to do with Whyte.

yea i remember that, i compiled a list of myths Preds could be based on, and we talked about it in Egypt and stuff

Plus the Native American legends of the Sasquatch and wendigo (or is it "windego", I always get that one confused). And if it weren't for the lack of heat and conflict, the Predator could be used to explain the myth of the Yeti as well.

Wendigo, so you got it right

the Yeti is reported to be FAR more agressive then the sasquatch, so that i could beleive, and there are jungles in teh vallies of the himilayus, and being that Nepal has been very conflict ridden lately, recent reports could be of Preds even if they didnt start the myth, theyre keeping it live

As far as I know, they've never been spotted in the vallies of Nepal, only in the mountains. Or at least evidense of them was only ever spotted in the mountains. So the preds starting the legends about abonibal snowmen is highly unlikely. Unless maybe a pred crash landed his ship in the Himilayas on his was to hunt in the jungles of Nepal hundreds of years ago, and that's how the legend got started.

But to be my own Devil's advocate for a moment, I don't think preds can handle such extreme cold weather. That's why they only hunt in places that are temperate to tropical. Their home planet is extremely warm, so they hunt in areas that are similar to home. I think if they get too cold, their bodies shut down. Like lizards. I think they're reptilian in nature and can't endure extreme cold for very long.

I think theyre either reptilian or mamilian, not sure which, maybe even a bit of both, they have stuff like ahir which one mamals can grow, yet they have enough reptilian characteristics in that theyre found in warm climates to suggest being cold blooded.

and the jungles of nepal are actually pretty warm, tropical jungle like in this movie, but with snow capped mountains on all sides, ive watched alot of shows about cryptids so, i know my **** lol

I don't doubt that you know your s#!t. I'm just saying that I've never heard of Yetis coming down into the jungles of the vallies. And if they never have been reported to do so, and if Preds can't endure the subzero temperatures of the Himilayas, then our "Predators started the ancient monster legends of the world" angle just won't work for Yetis. Sasquatch? Wendigos? Beowulf & Grendel? Yes. Yetis? Not so much.

Wolf was no more ******ed than anyone else in that movie, and yeah its not Whyte's fault, but I thought his movement and body language was much improved in AvP2.

Yeah, the movie was good, but it didn't have the speciality the first one had...

^I think the budget may have been a factor in that, many scene's felt like they wanted to do more but couldnt, but its the best movie since the first definately, and I didnt even hate Pred 2, I quite enjoyed it.

I did like the ancient Egyptian explanation in AvP.

It wasnt just egypt, it was every ancient advanced civilzation, Maya, Thai or wherever Angkor Watt is

AVP was set in an arctic climate and the human characters never take off any of the cold weather gear.

Lex took off her coat at the end of the movie, and some how ended up surviving.....

Actually some yeti searches have discovered gorilla like nests and strange droppings in the vallies, and i dont think many sightings actually are reported, but I've heard of a woman who was letting her yak or something either graze or drink form a stream, she said she heard whistling and then it grabbed her from behind and slashed her face and such, she still has scars from it

The Predators may be ectothermic, but they're clearly advanced enough technologically to use heated suits. It's been a while since I've seen AVP, but I think they may have been fully armored, as opposed to the piecemeal armor in the other movies.

They wore the same stuff in AVP as in all the other movies

The armor has changed in each movie, as have the Predator suits themselves. I really don't recall seeing a whole lot of Predator skin in AVP.

No they didnt.

The only time ever in a Predator film that two Predators from different flicks shared the same armor was Predators. That's it. Every single Predator since Predator has been different.

Correct. The armor covered most of thier bodies. Insted of a half chest plate, it was a whole chest plate, and most of it covered the back. For Scar, he had a lower chest plate that went all the way down.

Their leg armor was changed from a simple knee pad and ankle pad, to a one piece. Also the shoulders had longer, and bigger armor. :yay:
