he believes it's human, to want to have a baby. And i kinda agree.. i mean, pregnancy is not something i'd want to go through, but the idea of creating life and having that life inside me i think is very special... and i do think that feeling is a human thing, not just a female. if that were false, then how would you explain men who have sympathy pregnancies? getting bellies with there wife, having cravings, mood swings, and in some cases lactating and even growing something in there stomach. It's a very human trait. And the thing you brought up is actually surprisingly why the trans gender community is not happy with him. They feel he's betraying the need to want to be a man... which i think is actually surprising too... if anything they should be the most understanding. This isn't a female issue to him at all.

oprah didnt go into alot of detail about it, and im not sure what all else he had, to me it sounded like some surgery too... but the testosterone did enlarge his clitoris and when a clitoris is enlarged it looks remarkably like a penis (according to them). i haven't heard a yes or no answer on if he's had surgery there too, and from what i've read there is no birth cannal, he's having a C-section.

Calling him a male or female is technically wrong and out of respect a suitable term should be applied. Men do not have babies, the end. And personally, I truly think it is weird when men are getting pregnant and women are doing it to them. I understand gender identity disorders but this falls outside the norm of even that. Females that want to be a male so bad that they spend thousands of dollars, undergo surgery, hormone replacement, etc...only to stop and have a child. That is why this story is catching so much press.

I don't condone it, as it is not my choice, but I do not support it either. I try to live logically and logically this makes no sense. He/she can transform and then re-transform their body all they want, I just hope that the child is normal...that is my only concern.

A SOUTH Australian father and daughter have revealed they are a couple, and have had a child together.

John and Jenny Deaves reunited 30 years after Mr Deaves separated from Jenny's mother.

Jenny was 31 and just two weeks after meeting, father and daughter had sex.

Agreed. He may identify more with being a man, but he can still understand the value of life and have the human trait of wanting a child of his own. Though, as some have said, adoption may have been a more viable option, he wanted a child of his own (as do most people these days). Taking that into consideration, he should be held to no higher standards than those we apply to ourselves. As long as he ensures the baby's health, I see no problem with this and actually enjoy how much this has made me (and no doubt others) made me think.

i love how people seem to have say in what makes him a man or not... especially when the only 2 things needed to make it so is the law, and the person themselves. Medical science can already impregnant a male but see NO REASON to be THAT SELFISH as to RISK a child for NO REASON.

They have three ways they can do it,.. the easiest being placing a fetus up against an intestinal wall. But WHY would you do this when there are VIABLE HUMAN FEMALES able to have children with a much better chance of success.

You know what we call people who insist that they are something they are not simply because they want or feel they are this thing?

Hint: The ones who are a danger to themselves and others are put in big buildings with nice folk in white suits.
