That face is really cool. It looks like something from a Tool album cover.

Old school filming on a higher budget, nice.

I have a feeling at the end of the movie we'll see the "Nostromo" flyby with it's crew in stasis.

Looks amazing, I'm sure a trailer is right around the corner.

Prometheus???

It looks like they're inspecting an egg

Even though it's clearly meant to evoke the xenomorph egg chamber (and may yet turn out to be), the one important distinction is that this crew are *not* having to wear helmets. It's breathable atmosphere, and LV426 didn't have that in Alien.

Hmmm....like a lot of you, I firmly believe that this *is*, in fact, the space jockey room from LV426, but maybe something happens in Prometheus to change it from a breathable atmosphere to a hostile one, and one that lets the xenomorphs thrive....

I wonder if Guy Pearce and Ben Foster are in flashbacks as well.

Benedict Wong is in Prometheus as well and he had roles in two of the better space based Sci-Fi movies of the last decade (Sunshine & Moon).

Fassbender stated the film was still an Alien prequel, saying, "Prometheus is absolutely connected to Alien... There's a definite connecting vein."

In a June 2011 interview, screenwriter Damon Lindelof claimed it will be a prequel to the Alien films but follow a different story, stating "a true prequel should essentially [precede] the events of the original film, but be about something entirely different, feature different characters, have an entirely different theme, although it takes place in that same world

I have trouble believing that is the actual Space Jockey room from Alien. It maybe a room that belongs to the very same Space Jockey, but I don't think it is the same ship.

All this talk that Alien wouldn't be a "direct sequel" makes me think that they wouldn't do something that would need to be followed up in the very next film. Especially with Scott wanting to do a sequel.

I think it's a ship similar to the one in "Alien" but not the same one. Perhaps another Space Jockey bomber?

We will probally see who the space Jockeys are.Learn Information about them and see origins of ALiens but the actual ship that crashed In alien won't be seen In this film. That
ship crashing Is much In future In the series timeline. It was once said this film Is suspose to be before ripley Is born.

LMG should be cast as the lead in mass effect movie

looks just like Shepard

I agree that it's definitely a Space Jockey ship, but not the Space Jockey ship.

Strange how the giant head is very much humanoid in terms of facial features.

I wonder how it'll connect with the Xenomorphs if at all. So many questions! :O

I think the statue was built by someone involved with the origins of humanity

if it is its not a suprise. its a normal number for modern blockbusters.

-big budget movie
-a lot known actors
-Scott
-native 3D
-big sets
-a lot sets

But it's not normal for an Alien movie. This is the biggest budget any film in this series has had. Ever.

That's impressive.
