Ya that trailer got me so excited. Next to TDKR that is my most anticipated film for 2012. Just looks amazing. I can't wait to see it in HD, but I wonder if there is more than one trailer? Because that soundless clip that was released a while back was different and not in the full leaked trailer? I'm just hoping they release it this week.

They're testing out trailers. I was once at Books-A-Million a couple of years back and was stopped by a lady who guided me toward the cafe area. She was doing surveys on movie trailers and she wanted me to pick a few that hadn't been released to the public. I ended up watching one for Righteous Kill.

And that's likely what you were seeing was someone filming those trailers on their iphones or droids.

That sound from the Alien movies teaser that they used in this teaser made me feel so nostalgiac even though i wasn't born when the first Alien trailer came out. Brilliant idea by the marketing team.

That looks, oh my goodness. I have no words for something like that.

Love those wide shots and everything looks so immense yet so familiar.

Even though this was filmed with a potato you can tell this will be a visual feast. Incredible.

Even in Crap-O-Vision, this trailer *does* look suitably awesome. But I hope to god someone edits the title cards and corrects the typo ("...could be IT'S end....?" good gawd at unnecessary apostrophes) so this doesn't look illiterate.


About the fake trailer description, though....are we sure the debunk hasn't been debunked? Because in all honesty, the spoil-the-whole-damn-movie description *does* sound very plausible, and seems to dovetail nicely with what's shown in the trailer.

Alien did it first in 1979. The Inception horn only sounds at the start of the trailer, there's some kind of weird facehugger hissing sound and then it goes into the old school Alien alarm trailer.

I don't know what you saw, but the horns play throughout. They even comeback after the title card. The hiss and alarm are also there, but that doesn't change the Inception horns being there.

The alarm gets mixed with the horn after the first 20 seconds. But that doesn't change Guv'nor Rid's PR team having come up with that style of trailer 30 years before Inception.

The horn and alarm alternate after a certain point. Film image, title card, film image, title card, etc.

And I am not sure what you are talking about. The Alien's trailer is not edited like Inception's. Two completely different editing philosophies. Alien's trailer is a collection of images which is not edited in time with the music. Inception's syncs to the horns and the rest of the music. This Prometheus trailer does just that.

I really want to check out the trailer but ever since the teaser for TDKR leaked I've decided to wait for official high quality releases. The urge to watch it though has been rough as I closed the page twice after opening it.
