Prometheus - Part 2

Why does a movie need to 'own' another one? Why can't several movies with different directors have the same amount of success?
I mean, seriously, what's the deal? Do users have money invested in Sony/Warner/Paramount?

This ^

I thought this was the Alien thread, not the Nolan fanboys thread. :o

Where are the Alien fans that would rather see a new Alien film finally getting the justice it deserves over another Batman movie?

Celtic I was not face palming or laughing at the possibility it could be better, it's asinine statements of fanboy chest bumping that I was reacting to.

Oh, good! :D

This is the Alien goodness thread. The first time I can say this movie will probably good, at the worst, decent. :D

Well the TDKR trailer didn't impress me all that much and everything about Prometheus has so far. But ideally I want both movies to be great, epic movies that I'll joygasm over. I'm pretty sure everyone here does.

It's been so anticpated, I've been waiting for it before it was even thought of!

There's probably people out there waiting for this since 1979! But yes Prometheus looks to be something special.

It will be special. Can t wait for dat trailer. I hope its an improved version of the leaked one.

I just wonder how many of those "waiting since 1979" are going to be severely disappointed that there's absolutely no xenomorphage in this. Ridley has made it quite clear in interviews in recent days.

Apple hates me these days, I await one of our link rippers to hit me with a 720 downloadable link. :awesome:

Looks absolutely fantastic just on this preview alone. :wow:

The master of sci fi returns.

That ship looked pretty sexy in space and all that jazz.

People working on the movie: "No, this isn't alien"

Trailer: "AAAAALIIIIEEEEENNNN! Oh! OHHH!! Look at me!! ALIEN!!"

:oldrazz:

In 3 days? Damnit I want it now. I'm still over the moon that Ridley is returning to the sci-fi genre, it's been too long. Can't wait to see what's in store for us in the trailer.

its interesting how a good director can take a digital camera and a make a good looking movie that doesnt look cheap.
i respect everyone who thinks that film will always be beter. i respect if i dont like digital. but digital in no way looks bad when in godo hands.

This is really looking good. 2012 is going to kick some major butt for movies.
